- Beautiful and charming.
- We liked everything!!! It is an amazing place to stay!!! The landlady is an incredible woman and the villa keeper Ekaterina keeps the rooms in a wonderful cleanliness!!!! This is place where you can see the church opposite and hear the bell rings in the morning and evening!!! So Cosy, fully accommodated place!!! Amazing showers and antique furniture from different places… miss you so much and we are planning to return!!! Best regards from Sultan and Lily
- This is a great location for a unique experience in Santorini. These caves are awesome, clean, very comfortable and the host is very accommodating. Within walking distance of Aio, which is has shopping, dining, etc. There are also three restaurants in this little village of Finikia cave accommodations. Much prefer this over Firas, which is bigger, busier and more crowded, but is within 20 minutes by car.
Cons -
- Small hot water heater so the shower went cold fast. Navy showers are recommended.
- This can be confusing because there are several groups of cave accommodations within the same little town. Heliophos Caves are left after the Krinaki Restaurant. You'll pass some neighbor properties before reaching Heliophos Caves. "office" is up a set of stairs. Lots of stairs within Finikia, which is the community, so be prepared.
- Bathroom could use a toilet paper holder.

Adorable room in the quiet village of Finikia. It's super clean with a nice little terrace and an equipped kitchen. There is a free public parking space nearby.
Lovely, exceptionally clean accommodation. Friendly and welcoming staff, easy to find from the directions given. Fantastic view from our apartment terrace. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you
Unique hotel, fabulous village, close to restaurants and other attractions on foot.
Bathroom could use a toilet paper holder.
Very nice place to stay. The interior is well thought out, everything is very tasteful, the details make you feel the vibes of the past! Very clean. It takes around 20 mins to get to the main attractions of Oia. The area is cosy and calm. Good restaurant nearby. Pleasant staff.
I cannot think of anything I didn’t like about the place.
Lovely place to stay. Easy walk into Oia, but away from the crowds. Finikia is really lovely with some great restaurants. Bus stop to Fira is at the top of the village. The cave houses are fun and really well set out.
Katherine A Rasian Lady who take of room service and clean. So helpful and So nice..Even if not good English she tried Help all the best.Nice Place only 15min walk from Oia Town Cerufull Express 10min and many small shops..(only prices in the shops crazy) ?
host were very friendly
cell phone doesn't reach the tower and the Wi-Fi, depending on the location, didn't work either and very short hot water system
We really liked the house, so much that we were a little sad to leave after a week. The patio area that was available for all guests was much appreciated. Sofia was a very good host. Also there was a adorable cat that came to our house every day, we even named the cat Ouzo. He´s forever in our hearts.
Actually the only thing that was a bit disappointing was that in the description of the house it was said that there would be bathrobes, but there wasn´t. Also I will just mention that the schampoo and shower cream could be refilled when cleaning the house every day.
The location! Great restaurants nearby and a short walk to Oía! Also, there’s free parking just a short walk away. And the view of the sunrise from behind the top of the hill is amazing!
WiFi was a little slow.
This property has so much character and we loved the area of Finikia - a close walk to Oia but so much quieter and no vehicles! We loved the decor and the unique character of the accommodation, our patio, the peaceful alleyways of the village and the excellent restaurants nearby. The fresh orange juice and home made biscuits on arrival were an unexpected treat! Our host was always on hand to assist with any queries. The bed is very small, to suit the cosy room. This was no problem for us but perhaps a consideration for taller people.
The only thing we liked was the restaurant that was just around the corner from here
The whole stay was horrible. The lady running the place is so burnt out and rude she sounds like she needs a vacation herself. She yelled at us, and another group for adding a 3rd person to our reservation when it clearly says online the place sleeps 3-4 and there’s no way to edit booking once made. I tried to show her the booking website and she stated “ I don’t care what booking says”. Funny as that is how she is making her money… but besides the terrible guest service, the wifi is basically nonexistent, doesn’t work at all in the rooms, so was unable to get any work done. There were ants coming out of the fridge when we checked in making it unsafe to leave food in there. There is no air conditioning in the actual bedroom so it was as humid and hot as it was outside making it impossible to sleep, and the other “bed” aka the couch was hard as a rock. Overall- I don’t think I’ve ever had such a horrible stay on vacation ever, and I’ve stayed in 20 bed hostels before. Do yourself a favor, and stay elsewhere.
Loved the ambience and attention to detail of these beautiful authentic cave rooms. Lived up to our expectations of an authentic Santorini experience. Loved the terrace which was private and welcoming. The village of Finikia is away from the hustle and bustle but within walking distance of Oia, coastal trail and buses. There is a little supermarket which is handy. Taverns close by looked inviting, but we didn't get a chance to try them. Sophia was available on site. You need to take your luggage from Finikia car park, but this wasn't a problem for us.Very beautiful and quiet, well serviced accommodation.
Very clean and traditional with everything we needed. Just a 10-15 minute walk from Oia so it was ideal to be out of the busy times. 3 Extremely good restaurants on the doorstep do not miss these especially Lefkes.
Lovely boutique well thought off rooms and nice gesture from the owner to have these little things in the kitchen like juice, some biscuits on arrival. Very comfortable room and decent view. Its technically not in Oia but very walkable distance from Oia.
There is not much around this property unless you walk all the way up to Oia centre (10-15 mins walk). There are two restaurants very highly priced and one small supermarket. We stayed for two nights and ended up eating from the same place both days (good food but expensive!) Not recommended to book the hotel offered commute from port/airport to the place. The guy who came for our pickup was pathetic. We requested for the drop to the nearest public hospital as I had to get some dressing done due to a small accident i met while in Greece. That guy was the worst we ever met in our lives and felt like had a gun to his head and been forced to pick us up. Dropped us to the hospital which was 10 mins away , charged 40€ and left saying figure out your commute to the hotel by yourself and waiting charges are 70€ and I am leaving. Pathetic guy and I am writing it here since it reflects the property too and didnt even get a response from this property when we asked for more details of that driver to further escalate.
very comfortable stay. beautiful furniture, cleanliness room, nice staff. only 15〜20 minutes forwalking to oia. market is nearby.
balcony was not my expectation. no toaster.
We absolutely loved our stay here. Finikia is a great location for being close to Oia but away from all the crowds and commercialism. It felt more unique and was an unforgettable experience for our children to get to live in a cave home. There is a great restaurant a few steps down the property (Krinaki) that is reasonably priced compared to many in Oia. This stay will hold a special place in our hearts!
It can be a little bit of a workout to get to the property in the heat of the day with heavy suitcases. It was worth it though to be somewhere so unique!
Lovely staff, very large and well set up room, good kitchenette, comfy beds, nice bathroom, very quiet area
Location was further from Oia than we expected/realised - a good 15-20 minute walk. Fine for us with backpack only, but would not recommend walking from the bus stop with large luggage.
