Sovereign Beach Hotel

Great location on the beach. Good buffet at meal times. Friendly staff. Nice clean rooms. Great views.

Adding tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms would have made a massive difference to us. The quality of the all-inclusive drinks wasn’t great.

The bungalow had 3 rooms which was perfect for a family stay

The food was ok but not amazing. Felt more functional than luxury.

Lovely location, beach just over the road. Food was lovely and a good selection. Staff were really helpful, especially when our airport taxi was over an hour late.

Bad Experience

Very bad cleaning of the room and very bad reception at checkin. Drinks selection very poor and food without good quality.

Food was sometimes cold, soft drinks not proper makes so taste nothing like they should, entertainment poor and in the middle of nowhere

The food was very bad, the room was very hot, the drinking water was not good, you had to pay to be given water, the pool was dirty, the internet was bad, they charged me 20 euros more for staying 2 hours longer.

Rooms are not on the 5 star level hotel.

We loved everything, starting from the moment we arrived to Kos until we left. We didn't want to leave! They provide an airport shuttle (around 15 minutes to the hotel), surprised us with a free upgrade to the sea view room for our honeymoon, some fruits and wine in the room. We really loved our stay, the beautiful resort, the unbeatable food, the staff and Kos Island itself. Thank you very much, we'll surely come back someday.

The staff were wery polite, very helpfull and they made us feel welcome. Our room was clean and tidy. In the restaurant there was always enough diverese food choices so we always have found something that we like and try some new things. The pool was clean and they had a lifeguard on duty. That made us very relax and let our kid play by the pool. Overall we had a very good experience, the staff were extremely polite and helpful - they helped and comply with all af our requests.

There is some place for improvement in front of the hotel, definitely they can rebuild volleyball court - it's not in a good state. We were visiting in low season, so there is a possibility that they will fix this after season. There were these two barmans that could smile a bit more to the customers, but understandably due to the long season they got tired. Although they were always polite and meet our demands. When we return to Kos, we will chose this hotel again.

Lovely spacious layout, especially outdoor spaces.

Rooms and decor a bit out of date and looking aged. Really could do with some investment to modernise.

The breakfast meals at the hotel were good. The employees were very helpful and smiling. It is a nice hotel for those who just want to have a pool holiday.

The beach where we entered the sea was a complete disappointment for me. For me, vacation means being able to swim in the sea. It was very difficult to use because the coast and the sea are very rocky. On the way out, I hit my toe on the rock and the pain went on for too long. The hotel could have built a pier into the sea so that it can be used comfortably in the sea for its customers. I do not recommend the hotel to people who like to swim like us.

Good beach area, good pool and amphitheatre.

The buffet has sacrificed quality for quantity -it’s fine and you will find stuff you like, but it’s not restaurant quality and might start to wear a bit on a lengthy stay. The room had a few basic things missing- no batteries in tv remote, lack of toiletries- but corrected quickly once I reported them to reception. The air con wasn’t very powerful.
