Boathouse

We stayed on a bottom floor unit. The access to the sea was a particular highlight. The unit was extremely spacious. Pleasant to have chairs and a drying rack outside.

The bathroom would be significantly improved with an upgrade. Everything looked dirty however could be assumed it was just the unfinished style of the walls and floors. The bed position was awkward due to stairs and platform particularly if one needs to get up in the night. The outside plunge pool was dirty and did not appear to be maintained.

It's practically on the beach. Very close to the downtown shops and restaurants. Very clean and comfortable, quiet and discreet.The host helped us with everything we needed.

Having been to Kardamena many times we decided to book the boathouse as it always looked lovely from the outside. Before our stay we read some not so great reviews which was concerning but we decided to keep the booking and hope for the best! The apartment looks pretty good superficially but there are a few issues.. The outside pool had a green hue and a scummy mark around the outside so we didn’t feel comfortable using it as it didn’t look that clean. The first space when you go through the door is not inviting. It’s a space to hang your clothes but really this had potential to be a great dressing area but feels unfinished. The bed was okay, it was a futon style bed with topper. We had to ask for a second set of pillows but they came promptly. I wouldn’t book this apartment if you are someone who wants to prep food in the apartment as there isn’t really the facility to do so. Plates and cutlery also mismatched eg only one plate and one spoon. There was washing up liquid but had to buy sponges. There’s no additional cleaning products or dustpan etc. The apartment needs a lot of maintenance. The toilet seat was loose, I asked for this to be fixed and it seemed to have been attempted to be fixed but it was still loose. The taps in the in the bathroom weren’t stuck down. We had to hold on to the tap to get the water to run. (Asked for this to be fixed but it wasn’t). There was a lot of limescale in both sinks. Upper rim of toilet was dirty. Walls have a lot of black marks and needs painted. Overall the apartments have so much potential but they need to fix it up with attention to detail.

The location was very convenient for a wide variety of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. The apartment is set back slightly from the seafront with a good aspect but also maintains some privacy. The plunge pool was a very welcome facility when the weather was really hot even though we were just a few metres away from the sea.

The futon style bed would not suit everyone - having such a low base made getting up a challenge. The bathroom was the the main disappointment - it was dark and could do with being decorated.

Sofas should be cleaned. Plunge pool water was not filtering properly making it rather uninviting which was disappointing.

Location was perfect & the accommodation was spot on. The bed was so comfortable. Housekeepers were in every day and very friendly.

The room is very nice and cozy. Overlooking the small port. Clean and nice towels and bedsheets.

The toilet was leaking and the sink was not closing properly.

Bathroom leaked water over floor continuously

Beautiful room, much bigger than the photos make it look. A 10 second walk from the sea and a 1 minute walk into town make it a great place to stay. The highlight were the staff at Varhos who went above and beyond to answer my questions and make me feel welcomed upon arrival and check out- even booking me a taxi to the port. This was great for a solo trip or for a couple and the private pool was beautiful.

The building was not well-kept. We were here last year and it seems it was not well maintained during the winter season.

Great location. Sleeping area and kitchen were fine Balcony great although it’s 10 -15 metres from a busy car park and the bins

Some parts of the room were not as clean as I’ve come to expect in Greece. Mattress at the front door for example Also Paid for a private pool which was unusable due to it being very dirty

The accommodation was clean, well-equipped and so nicely furnished. The views are fantastid and location is perfect. I stayed there the night before my wedding and the night of my wedding, and as the apartment was so spacious, it was perfect for myself and all my bridesmaids to get ready. The beautiful Greek colours also created lovely backdrops for all my wedding photos. I would 100% stay again.

Great location, right on the water. Large apartments, plenty of room for our family.

The pools weren’t on but it’s April so that was expected.

Booked last minute and couldn’t believe how big and fabulous our apartment was. We arrived early and were kindly allowed to access the accommodation. Our own little pool and complimentary wine were a super nice touch. We didn’t go into the bar but really wished that we had, definately will next time?.

The only thing I can think of is the rain head shower was just a bit high for me, but definitely not a massive problem.

Amazing location and huge space ideal for families .

Utensils in the kitchen not adequate considering there is a full kitchen . No coffee cups to make coffee despite coffee machine there.
