Mastichari Bay Hotel

The breakfast was delicious! We loved our little time at this hotel around the pool with the calm of the sea.

Easy access from the ferry. Very nice pools and staff. The fastest check in of all time. Food at the buffet was great and lots of options. Gym was small, but good. Amazing place to relax by the sea.

With booking with Booking.com, the options around all inclusive verse partial inclusive (breakfast and dinner only) were not clearly explained/identified. Fortunately, it worked out alright for us this time. However, it could have easily been a huge sticking point.

A wonderful hotel- clean, stylish, and very beautiful!We stayed in the room with a whirlpool and enjoyed the half-board meals.The hotel also seems very family-friendly, but if you’re a couple, I recommend booking one of the better rooms- you’ll even get a private pool, which makes the experience extra special.

Although the hotel is a little outside the city center, there are several nice restaurants nearby. The only downside was the gym, which felt a bit uninviting since it had no windows or fresh air.Other than that, everything was perfect.

I loved the staff. They were so nice and friendly. They greet you with a smile and were very helpful.

The convenience of being so close to the downtown area.

Everyone was very nice and helpful, especially the front desk people. It's a lovely traditional hotel and beautiful landscaping I just wish it was a bit more updated. The shower in the bathroom is was old and the pools need to be repaired. The food unfortunately was the biggest disappointment, it wasn't very good, sorry but I come from a 30 year background of the restaurant business and I wasn't very impressed or even satisfied. And on a sadder note the tile you have on the stairs leading to the rooms, clay red color, are extremely slippery and I fell twice, once in front of one of the maids and the other by myself with my luggage.

We picked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport (10 min drive) and because of the pool/beach facilities. We took the bus from the port (10 min walk through the port to the bus stop) & about a 30 min drive to Mastichiari - it stopped right in front of the hotel. Mastichiari is an adorable sleepy little town with a handful of beach clubs, restaurants, and shops. Not the best beaches - fairly choppy & deep on entry. And not a lot of sand. But beautiful water & view of Kalymnos.

The hotel is what I would liken to a low-budget cruise ship. For the masses. Sterile, basic rooms with hard beds and no coffee maker. The buffet dinner was pretty terrible quality of food. And it was annoying that they charged for sodas, juices, and water at dinner when these are all included at breakfast. Clearly a money grab. Also, the house wine is poured out of a tap & tasted sour and mildewy - I recommend avoiding at all costs & either picking up a lovely bottle of local wine at a local supermarket to consume in your room or ordering a bottle off the menu in the restaurant.We also had a really frustrating experience with the front desk staff regarding a taxi booking for the airport. They advised us to have them pre-book a taxi for an early morning flight because we would have to wait up to an hour for one to arrive. For a minivan for a family of 5 + luggage, they told us it would be 25 Euros. I clarified this multiple times with multiple front desk staff because this was the end of the trip and we were running low on cash. Well, we got to the airport and the driver wanted to charge 35 Euros for 5 passengers + 5 dollars for pre-booking. I argued with him and he called the resort and the receptionist apologized that she gave us the wrong information. That's literally their job - to give correct information. We only had 30 Euros, so that's what we ended up giving him. But shockingly incompetent front desk staff.

Breakfast and dinner were both good with lots of choices. The location is perfect for the airport or ferry to Kalymnos. We were given a friendly welcome and the staff were all helpful and welcoming.

Beautiful place run by a great team of staff. We got in late on the first night due to flights being delayed so the restaurant was closed but they'd save us food so we didn't miss out on the meal we'd paid for. And they were very flexible with late check out when we had a late flight home, helped us get to really enjoy our last day on the island so we really appreciated that. We had everything we needed and the room was spotless and spacious with really good air conditioning and shower. Buffets for breakfast and dinner have great choices and plenty of it. Would definitely recommend to others to stay here. Really strong family feel and great location for the harbour to take a boat trip to ther islands. Great value for money too.

Can be quite windy but thats down to the weather not the hotel and there are sheltered spots around the pools with plenty of loungers so wasn't a problem for us.

It is in a really good location, close to the port and 10 min away from the airport. It is a good idea for night transfer on the way in or back to Kalymnos

Fabulous hotel with lovely staff and good food. The rooms are very comfortable and cleaned daily.

It would have been better if the pools were heated.

The layout of the hotel, the grounds were lovely, the pools and the close access to the beach. Staff helpful and friendly.

The room was very spacious. The cleaning and gardening staff did exceptional work. The quiet pool area is a brilliant idea. If you like cats, there are many.

The safe is a bit old fashioned, you need to request a lock and it cannot fit a laptop. Same for the lock of the room, it got stuck and we couldn't get in. The food is more international than greek.

The eggs, whether scrambled or as an omelet, seemed to be powdered eggs, not fresh. They were also cold. An omelet or egg counter with a chef making fresh egg dishes would have been nice.

1) There was too little shade provided either at the pool or on the beach. Uncomfortable with the hot sun beating down and no relief -- in particular, the umbrellas around the pool provided very poor protection. 2) For some reason, the maids didn't clean the shower glass. 3) why can't ordinary water (filtered like at the pool) be served with meals. Why did we always have to buy water.

Beautiful surroundings and lovely clean comfortable rooms. Plenty of areas to sit outside and sunbathe such as grassy areas, the beach and the pool. The staff are friendly and helpful. The WiFi is very good in all areas of the hotel.

Private, food amazing and so well kept hotel.

Entertainment was repetitive each night.
