    • Close to beach and comfortable. Not too busy even in peak season. Friendly staff.
    • This hotel is up there with some of the best.we popped in a week before we were due to stay.from walking into reception you just felt this is a nice friendly hotel absolutely spotless.we were offered a drink and this is before we had even stayed there.so off we went a few days later to nisyros.for a 4 night stay.on returning to the hotel to stay we knew how comfortable we would feel and we did..shown to our room 24., double balcony front sea facing and rear balcony.fridge kettle iron air con tv in room.washing machine in downstairs laundry room.ideal €1 euro 20 mins so ideal if you want to wash anything through before returning home or to wear next day.breakfast room really pleasant and absolutely spotless.a good selection of food on offer.and just a tip when you have finished with your plates dishes etc carry them into the kitchen.why because it keeps the cost down of having to employee Xtra staff.which in return gives the the residents a better price.bedroom was cleaned regularly and towels changed.at night on return to the hotel there is a well stocked bar so relax have a drink.there are house rules and why not respect that this maybe a hotel but also a home.this hotel has year after year repeat customers.one I believe over 20yrs years.on the whole I cannot recommend this hotel enough for us it was sad to leave behind such nice owners and a beautiful hotel.with the promise.we will be back god willing.
    • Everything. It was nice that Nesta came out to greet me on my late arrival and her partner waved me off outside. It was really helpful that I could keep my bag in my room and have a shower there at tea time as I left at 8.30 pm.The cleaners were very smiley.Loved the hotel, Kefalos and Kos. The whole experience was lovely. Thanks. Louise

    Cons -

    • Could be a little more modern but what you would expect for the price.
    • Having to leave ?
    • ‘Bungalow could have been more spacious and internet better, but these are minor things and didn’t distract from an excellent holiday!

Great location, flat area lots of tavernas, next to the sea/ bars just perfect!

‘Bungalow could have been more spacious and internet better, but these are minor things and didn’t distract from an excellent holiday!

A traditional Greek hotel with an authentic warm welcome from Nitsa and her small team. The hotel was exceptionally clean both inside and around the pool area. The rooms are spotless and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is continental with fresh fruit, breads, yoghurt, boiled eggs, preserves, cereals- plenty of choice. The hotel location is perfect for the beach and restaurants with the bus stop right outside.

The filter coffee at breakfast wasn't great but I'm fussy and it was a minor thing really.

Nice hotel. Friendly owners. Good breakfast. Room was good. Had airco, balcony.

    10RobertPosted on: 9-8-2024

Location only 50 metres to the beach/sea, breakfast was continental style with plenty to choose from. Room cleaned daily, towels changed twice a week. Not having to pay for air con and safety deposit box a bonus. Fridge in the room. During my stay the pool/lounge area was never more than half full. The hotel is a family run 2 star hotel , Nitsa and Vasilis the owners work hard to keep the cogs turning, and are good people. This was first visit to Kos and I should like to thank Nitsa and Vasilis personally

An amazing property just a few yards from the beach, rooms amazing so clean and comfortable, the owners are so friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble

Family run the hotel, directly on the beach. Super nice people. Room cleaned everyday. Aircondition. Mosquito net. Pool. I can only recommend.

7 Star service and experience - Thanks Nitsa and Vasilis - We had a wonderful time. Always with a smile and answers/ advice to all of our questions. Excellent breakfast. Fantastic location. Friendly people wherever we visited in Kos.

    Nothing at all.

Great atmosphere, location well beyond expectations. Very quiet and relaxing stay, very nice swimming pool

Not as did not like, but the bathrooms are a little bit dated. Overall, it is a fantastic hotel

    10NeilPosted on: 7-15-2024

From the moment I arrived I was welcomed and made to feel like a valued guest, born out by the fact that I didn't have to pay extra for air conditioning (essential) and safety deposit box. Nitsa is so helpful and always happy to assist with any advice or information. My room was comfortable and cleaned every day, along with a view to die for across kefalos bay. Breakfast was a substantial buffet (try real greek yoghurt. You'll never want supermarkey greek'style' yoghurt again!), always fresh every day.The hotel is spotless along with the pool area with enough sunbeds so you don't need to put your towels out before dawn (although there are always some muppets who feel they need to!) Location is central for all the local bars and tavernas but quiet come night time for a relaxing night's sleep.

    Struggling to think of anything

From the moment we arrived at Kokalakis Hotel, we knew we were in for a special experience. The owners were absolutely amazing, greeting us with warm smiles and a delightful welcome drink that set the tone for our stay. Their hospitality didn’t end there; they also offered us a refreshing leaving drink, making our departure just as pleasant as our arrival.Throughout our stay, the owners were constantly working hard to ensure we felt at home and had a memorable vacation. Their dedication to guest satisfaction is truly commendable. Our bungalow was perfect in every way. It was incredibly spacious, featuring not one but two outdoor spaces just for us. These private areas were ideal for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breakfast. It was everything we needed to start our day on the right foot. The variety was impressive, catering to all tastes with fresh fruits, creamy yogurt, perfectly cooked eggs, a selection of pastries, and an array of juices. A special mention goes to the delicious Greek bread – a must-try! The owner was always attentive, promptly replenishing items as soon as they ran out, ensuring everything remained fresh and abundant.Thank you, Kokalakis Hotel, for a memorable vacation. We can’t wait to return and experience your wonderful hospitality once again!

I had a really great stay at this hotel. Everything was close, the beach, shops, restaurants. Bus stop right opposite the hotel. Very kind owner, thank you for a wonderful time in Kefalos ?

    9JuliePosted on: 6-22-2024

Friendly hospitality, helpful and kind owners ... Clean ,well organised, lovely breakfast...great location, pool great, my room was overlooking the sea and beach. Everything you need close by, bus stop opposite...

Shower flooded the bathroom every time used and lacked space. So it was very slippery but it didn't really matter to be honest , everything else was lovely.

I traveled to Kos with my 19-year-old daughter. The place was just right. Cozy, beautiful, safe and comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast had a lot of options. The room was cozy, even better than I expected. I think the place deserves more stars. The next time I go to Kefalos, this will definitely be my choice. If they have room. I now understand why they are almost always sold out.

    10MelaniePosted on: 10-5-2023

Fantastic hosts and staff, and a very well run and managed hotel. Exceptionally clean rooms, communal areas and the pool area is well looked after. Good breakfast service and bar in the evenings.

    9DavidePosted on: 9-14-2023

A nice, quiet, family run hotel with clean and comfortable rooms, perfectly located in Kefalos. Perfect place to relax. The closest beach is less than 5 mins walk with beautiful transparent water and cheap sunbeds and umbrellas. But if you walk 8-10 mins you find even less crowded spots. Many restaurants close-by, mainly along the beach with authentic and good value food. The bus from the airport or from Kos town/port stops right in front of the hotel. There are minimarkets and plenty of car and scooter rentals in case you want to explore the other beautiful beaches on the island.
