Hotel Grand Efe

The town near the hotel was quaint & nice with nice, happy people. Sea was beautiful with vibrant colors of blues and turquoise. The sea and mountains in the distance made for picturesque vistas. The room we were assigned had a large balcony.

Children were everywhere. Screaming all morning & night, loud throughout the day - misbehaved & unsupervised. Staff seemed overwhelmed & discontent. The food was ample in quantity but frequently lacking in quality/flavor. Beach was dirty; trash all over.

We liked pretty much everything. It's right on the beach. The meals were all included. There was an abundance of food. The staff were friendly.

We are Canadians so maybe we are used to a different kind of bed but our bed was very hard. Also, the pool was unheated. I understand that it's very hot in the summer but it was unusable in early October. The weather was hot enough to want to swim but the water was just too cold. Again maybe because we're Canadians different expectations.

The resort was very good and the staff were so polite. The swimming pool and slides were so exciting. Rooms were sized well with great balcony views to the beach. Clean resort and my kids liked the playground and kids club

One thing might be good if they improve the variety of the buffet options.Note: The resort is about 37km from Kusadasi downtown.

disappointment , disaster

As soon as we checked in, we received an uncleaned room. Nothing in the hotel corresponded to four stars, neither the environment nor the service. The food was monotonous, despite being well prepared. Lunch and dinner buffet self-service with a long wait. There was no order in which the food was served or at least placed on the plates by a waiter or chef-employee of the hotel, that is, so that everyone before you could dig into the common dishes. It is impossible to get an espresso because there is no espresso machine in the entire hotel complex, regardless of the fact that one is included in the offer - instead, an instant coffee (quite diluted) is offered from a machine. All drinks except the traditional Turkish tea are served in plastic or cardboard cups - I would drink coffee in a plastic cup from a machine at a train station, but in a four-star hotel I would expect it to be served in porcelain or glass depending on the drink. The number of sunbeds on the beach and around the pools is not enough for all hotel guests, and during my stay the hotel was not even full.

The property is very clean both rooms and territory . Food and drinks are very good and very good choice. Territory is not big but very good planned . Stayed 11 nights and have never been bored. Not so hot and humid as in Kemer , some evenings even were rather cool.

Expect queues at meals since food is not self service. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and this is not a hollow sound. No place for jogging, no prominade near by. Brought back money devoted for shopping since no shopping either. No free sauna or hamam.
