    Pros +

    • The hotel's riverfront location is very convenient for accessing either the historic sites or the convention center.
    • Friendly and helpful staff and central location and huge breakfast buffet
    • This hotel is quite central for the city; however, the walk into the city centre - particularly late at night - is not to be recommended. For a city break in Saarbrücken is the hotel okay.

    Cons -

    • Parking in their underground parking garage is a parking nightmare with a big car and the space of the hotel room was on the smaller side
    • The reception staff were indifferent and particularly the Restaurant manager was rude and dismissive- it seemed that they were doing us a favour to eat in their restaurant.
    • The breakfast buffet is very limited. However for quick breakfast suitable

Wide room with plenty space. Small fridge included. good bed. Good staff in the desk.

Breakfast was horrible, and the waitress forgot about us. Then pretended not to know.Bathroom wasn't clean.

The service and rooms where amazing everything you would expect from Mercure

Had to find my own parking which wasn't too close

Location and the view from my room. Special thanks to miss Viola at the reception, she was very helpful

Everything about my stay there was pretty much as I expected it would be. It was quite well situated, about a 10-to-15-minute walk from the station so even with luggage I could walk there. Some older or less able people wouldn't want to do that, but I'm not a great walker and I did. It was right on the riverbank which provided a nice place to stroll along when I got the chance. It had a midday check out time.

    Nothing springs to mind.

It is very close to the centre and the pedestrian shopping area, easy to reach, rooms are comfortable.

Breakfast management is not optimal. Breakfast room too small, tyding of tables is too slow. Alos needs 1 or 2 automatic coffee machines to make service quicker and easier (instead of coffee cans)

    9EdPosted on: 6-17-2025

    Room and wifi fine.

Pillows terrible and made of foam that superheats your head at night. Breakfast lacks substance. Too complex (table service for some things).

Comfortable hotel in the centre of saarbrucken, we just stayed one night as a stop-over.

    8RobertaPosted on: 5-6-2025

Excellent location, a few minutes away from the highway and at walking distance from the city centre. My room was spacious and clean Check-in and check-out quick and efficientGreat bonus: some free if charge parking spots at the hotel entrance

It’s a pity my room didn’t have a safeThere was non complimentary water, which has become quite usual in hotels nowadays, and the only water bottle in the room is sold at 4.50€ for 0.5 l, way too much, honestly!

Very central location, next to shopping district and old town. Full English breakfast and complete bar with cocktails. Underground parking options on arrival. Very kind and welcoming staff. Could not have chosen a better hotel for our visit to Saarbrucken

    Nothing not to like.

Good location close to shops.Typical Mercure hotel.

Parking fills up quickly. Nearest alternative parking is in the Congresshalle.

The man who was on duty after midnight was so helpful after my disgust with the booking I had made at St Gallen. Th e St Gallen accommodation was so bad I had no alternative but to go to my next planned stay at Saarbrucken. There was a pleasant and helpful attitude from the large majority of the staff and a peacefulness in the place

There was not anything I did not like at the Mercure Hotel
