Hotel Schloßschenke

Clean, comfortable, great balcony, super nice staff and great breakfast. Location is wonderful- close to shopping and restaurants. A must stay if you’re in the area.

Good location. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Air conditioning only available by request

Lovely, clean and comfortable. Great price

Great location, close to restaurants/ shops and walking distance to train and bus stations. Clean and nice room in a funky building with character.

I would have liked a little fridge in my room

Good location, lovely staff, clean and interesting breakfast

No air conditioning just a floor fan provided but it was unseasonably warm at the time of our visit

Upon arrival, very friendly help from the owner of the hotel. The hotel is in a good location. Within a minute in a shopping street and located near various attractions (schleife). Hotel room above expectations spacious and very neat. Breakfast well arranged and sufficient choice. Definitely recommended!

Nothing. Everything was fine

Easy check in. Excellent locationWell stocked honesty bar in the atrium. I paid for my cold beer when I left next day!Clean & comfortable Fantastic breakfast

Another coffee sachet & some tea bags would have made it even better.

the breakfast and staff were good and we were able to put our motorcycles in a private garage

The rooms were not what we booked, they were very old and the view was someones roof terrace which was right outside my window so had to close the curtains even in daylight for privacy.

Everything was good for me. The stairs were a bit much for me, but good excercise. I have wanted to stay there for a number of years. Finally had my chance.

My room safe didn't work so I had to carry around items that I wanted to leave in the room. Not a big issue.

Great location fantastic breakfast

Nothing a bit dated but a lovely old property

Location was perfect although parking was a bit tricky. We also had a balcony that was very cool!

Our shower was broken and when I told them about it, they said it would be fixed. It never was and I would have preferred to change rooms to have a workable shower but that was never offered. We were there 2 days, and I told them about it on the first day, but alas nothing.

Beautiful building. The bed was very comfortable, the view was nice and the interior was super pretty! Staff were very polite and friendly. Room was bigger than expected, i suspect that they might have upgraded us but i’m not sure? Overall I am very happy with our stay!

Very spacious room in a somewhat dated hotel. Still very comfortable and clean. It's the staff and especially the breakfast that seals the deal on this place; very good value!

The hotel is located next to one of the main roads of the city; a light sleeper on a hot day might need the fan for lack of airconditioning... For us, open windows weren't a problem though.

central location in the city center

breakfast was quite simple, nothing special, but all basics on site. The Parking situation is very poor, need to walk several hundred meters to the ...3 parking spots they have. the house in total is quite old and even the tries to make it look nice could not cover from the poor substance

location was amazing. close to restaurants and sights. facilities clean and staff was very friendly.

rooms very hot due to recent warm days. top floor was unbearably hot and had a pretty restless night. one room did have a fan which was convenient.

The room was quite spacious and the breakfast was nice. Bread was fresh, lot of variety.

The shower was cold the first 2 showers. The shower door was broken so all the water fell on the floor. The toilet didn’t flush well. The sink didn’t work well, the water didn’t go. The soap bottle was empty. The toilet paper had only 3 pieces on it. The room was VERY hot, and if you open the window you had loud noises from outside since there was some kind of hanging out space in front of the hotel. The ventilator that was there made a lot of noise and was half broken. There were only 4 plug-in places, and they were all used up by lights or the ventilator, so we had only one left for our phones, on the other side of the room. There was no restaurant to eat in the night, but we knew that. In my opinion the room wasn’t so clean, there were stains on the sheets, probably old ones that don’t come out anymore. The hotel was not full but when someone walked above you or on the stairs it made a lot of noise. Luckily we stayed on a week day, I think in the weekend you could not have the window open because of the strong noise from outside. Also, the parking is 300m and they only have 5 spots. I wouldn’t book it again, because it was too expensive for what it was.

Everything went smoothly. Rooms are super clean and staff were friendly. Food at breakfast was standard. Would highly recommend

Lovely old building, staff very welcoming and helpful. Great restaurants nearby. Garage available to park motorcycle for additional cost.

breakfast was a little disappointing, also lots of fruit flies due to rotten fruit.

Lovely olde worlde property in a very central location. Room nice and clean. Good restaurant on site. Strong WiFi extremely nice, helpful lady owner. Breakfast sufficient as continental style

No lift(my fault for not noticing when booking) so 2 long flights of stairs to 1st floor room. No permanent parking available outside property, restricted to an hour from 8am-6pm. Limited hotel parking quite far…500 meters.

Location can't be bettered, very comfortable bed, hotel is good value

When checking in, was not given the wifi code, and it was not in the room. Given the wrong room to start (a single instead of a double), with no towels. Then after requesting it, the correct room but with only one almost finished roll of toilet paper.
