Parkhotel Idar-Oberstein

Room was very nice, quiet & confortable.

Breakfast was sub-standard this time, normally a good breakfast choice & quality is proposed.

With no proper announcement we were left alone (!) in the hotel. No night service, the restaurant was closed. We ate our take away meal with bare hands. They even didn’t exchange the empty water bottles. We talked with the front desk and presented our complains. No body returned with an excuse.

Very cozy hotel, the personnel is very kind and polite and friendly. It has a good restaurant with wonderful terrace.It is a place to stop the time and feel the moment. I liked also a sound of the nearby river or creek in the night.I would definitely recommend to stay there.

The hotel was clean and beautiful. The staff was great even with some communication difficulties due to the language barrier. We always got it figured out.

My biggest complaint is the beds. They are way too hard. For me, it was like sleeping on a sheet of plywood. I didn't sleep well due to pain throughout the night because of the hard bed.

The bed was too hard/firm for us. Our hips and back were hurting by morning and we didn't sleep well. Breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly.

We had 3 rooms, all of which were a bit outdated and didn’t have air conditioning. No outlets next to the bed. Breakfast was just ok and the quality of some items (salami, cheese) wasn’t great.

The location and the lady at the reception was helpful. The room was ok. Cheeper at the hotel[95 euros] vs price on booking.com [107]

The staff at the restaurant was below average. Ok food for dinner. Breakfast below average. Except a lady at the reception, no one spoke English .

The food in the main restaurant and pizzeria were really good. One chef at the pizzeria was really nice, even took my 3 year old son to show how to make pizza…it was nice of him.

No electronics were working in our room. First the fridge, then tv, bathroom lamp switch was broken, it worked as a night lamp during the night.

Breakfast ok. Coffee not really up to the standart.

Arrival sunday at 6pm: no office desk, entrance via phone call, hopefully I was able to make foreign call. I whish I was described the checking procedure before arriving.

The hotel was convenient to town and quiet. The breakfast was great - eggs and ham and bread and cereal and hot cocoa.

We stayed in room 507 and the cushions on the sofa were a bit saggy. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious.

Wifi not good. Fitness facilities still not available. Wait staff struggles when busy.

it is a very cosy hotel. Feels like home. very nice and friendly staff. Nice location. Also charger for electric car available not far from the property.

It was a bit noisy as my room was directly next to the cleaning room.The wifi during the evening and night was a bit slow.

We found this to be an amazing hotel. It was clean, comfortable, and the food in the staff were exceptional. We were pleasantly surprised and commented that anytime we are in the area. We will be staying at this hotel again.

All was good. No complaints.
