Pros +
- Was everything we were looking for - comfort, cleanliness, awesome furnishings (very contemporary which is awesome),
- The shower was broken. The TV doesn’t even turn on. The floors were really dirty and it stunk.
- The view was great, looking over the entire valley. A great walkable location.
Cons -
- Cannot think of anything - was a wonderful experience.
- The breakfast was a madhouse. We got there at 9am and they ran out of food. The rooms are a trip back to 1968 - when the building was built, both in colors and furnishings. Very little parking availible on site.
- Nothing really, just needed some cosmetic upgrades. Maybe an air conditioner

The view on the 12th floor was nice. Breakfast plentiful

CleanLocation good for food
There are only certain times staff is there, and you must use emergency number to get acess if your late. Also no real dedicated parking at a cost of 6 euro extraNo coffee makerNo microwave
Still a great location and still a great view.
I sent a message which was not answered and then called to change my arrival date by one day, all well before the deadline to change the reservation. On the phone call I was assured I would not be charged for the night I was not going to be there. Hotel said Booking.com had to send the change, Booking.com said hotel did not answer them either. In the end I paid for the night I was not yet there. I think they did this once before as well.Reception is only open from 3-8pm, most of the day there is no staff to help with anything. Retrieving deliveries is difficult, if they go next door it can take an extra day to get them back. The breakfast needs to be signed up for a day before at the closed reception. The parking you pay for requires a token to get out each time but they don’t want to give you more than one and are not there when you need another. The card keys to let you in to the building at night and in to your room look years old and frequently fail. This has been my hotel in IO for years and I want to still love it but it is so frustrating. It may be time to move on.
The view! Good location, large room, decent breakfast and parking on premises, good restaurants close by
This 20 story building seems out of place in this picturesque town
ok for the money for short stay.
The person on the phone was incredibly rude. The tables were sticky and not cleaned
An excellent location with views over the city. Spacious rooms. Very good pricing.
Infrastructure and furniture are outdated
Great location friendly we have stayed here a few times now and we will stay again when travelling through Germany
Great central location and helpful staff. Arrived by bike and the bikes were securely stored for us.
It's all looking its age but for the money that's fine. Our rooms were on the sunny side which in August meant they were very hot when we arrived as the curtains were left open.
Uncomfortable and not recommended
Hotel is ugly, light did not work on the rooms, reception not available when you need them, not a good atmosphere
The hotel has excellent position ,you could see the the whole town. The Gem museum is right next door. The cafeteria is also great, the service staff was very friendly!
The WIFI signal is very poor and almost impossible to receive.
The people at the reception were very nice! The room was very clean and they even allowed us to keep our bicycles in a safe place inside the building.
The two separate were a bit uncomfortable, but nothing too bad.
Nice place n central of idar
Staff are unfriendly, non-cooperative, un-professional, even they didn’t care if somebody’s asking a question or have a line for check in. Room didn’t ready even after 15 Uhr. ? customer made complain even they don’t have any solution or try resolve the problem.
Easy-to-find location, near the center of Idar with grocery and dining options nearby.Staff was pleasant and helpful at checkin. There was a secure place to leave our bicycle overnight. We were directed to call the emergency number in the morning to have someone unlock the kiosk where the bike was stored. This went about as I expected, requiring a little patience as the desk is not staffed in the morning. Kudos to the chef in the dining area who helped us when no one was answering the emergency number on the first few rings. The room was very big. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast had all the offerings and pleasant staff.
Nothing. The hotel is older and nothing fancy, but it is clean and well-situated.
Frankly this is not a hotel but I felt it is kind of a rented room with no facilities., small old TV that's it ..no coffee maker or nothing. They are running Building as hotel without any hotel facilities. Parking is not free and you have to pay extra with coin system means you can not go out many times with car or else you have to ask again and again for the coins.zero security and not safe for families. Also over priced, never again
Nothing at all
View, room size, room service, cleanliness.
shower head was way too economical. 1 Cafee machine was always out of order, another was almost dead and made pretty odd coffee
at least a place to sleep. Staff showed up next morning and were unable to refund my next three days. creepy Steven King type hotel, huge with no people. scary, long dark hallways and so on
The entire hotel was shut, lights out, no employees on duty, a guest ? let us in and got us a key to a room. A huge hotel without other guests, very uncomfortable, no coffee no toiletries, just a bed.
great view, clean and wide room, its so central
reception working hours a little strange, i only saw receptionist when i check in and out :D
