Pros +
- The room facilities were great. The extra necesities provided (iron, hair dryer , comb , sowing kit, shower cap , shoe polish) were very handy ! The cofee and tea were also lovely !!
- Helpful and friendly staff, nice atmosphere in the room, well equipped and clean.
- Nice old style hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is basic but good. Location is safe and restaurants are just across the street if you are looking for a place for dinner. Staff is super helpful and friendly.
Cons -
- No , everything was perfect.
- The walls and the door are very thin, even normal conversations can be heard through.
- TV does never work (I have been in the hotel very often). The fridge in the room is also only decoration. Access for people with mobility issues is not really possible.

Nice old style hotel. Friendly and helpful staff.Good breakfast. Price is ok for what you get. I always stay there when I am in town.
It is an old hotel and difficult for people with disabilities to access.
It's a cosy hotel with a nice atmosphere. We were only there for one night, but if we'd been there longer, we'd definitely have taken advantage of the various downstairs spaces for relaxing.
Given that the temperature went down to -4C on the night we were there, it would have been nice to have had more than one medium-weight duvet on the bed. Most hotels supply extra blankets, but there was nothing in our room. We survived by turning the heating up to maximum (and lifting up the curtains, which covered the radiators), but it wasn't ideal.
Everything (especially the different themed- rooms
The breakfast could be a bit better (the options were a bit limited)
Lovely downstairs sitting areas with interesting things to browse through. Staff were very friendly and acommodating - thanks for the egg nog!
Friendly stuff
The parking was not enough, they only have 4 parking spots so make sure you call to check before booking...

Has a good location
Parking is a challenge, to say the least. Parking description is misleading, as it implies that there is parking available. It is available, at a cost. And it is off-site, with a terrible steep and narrow ramp, and way too narrow parking spaces. The garage was not clean, the steps to the hotel were wet and with leaves, which made it hazardous to carry the suitcases. The elevator was out of order.
Breakfast was very good. Room to the level expected. Location OK for me since I didn't mind the walk to the shops.
No cooling.
Hotel it self is very beautifun and unusual.
The only problem was that there is no aircondition and was too hot in the room. With fan war ok but windows could not be opened as it was a bit laud from outside.
Passable
No air conditioning, the room was very hot! The shower drain was clogged.
Very good hotel close to the city centre. Good breakfast.
Everything was good. Only the cleaning lady came in without knocking and left without saying sorry:)
Walkable from train station and there is a kettle in the room, but without tea or coffee with it. There was free shampoo in the shower. Overall a standard hotel room.
The wifi network is not secure and the design of the hotel is rather old fashioned.
Friendly staff who were very helpful with storing my bike. Good breakfast. Good location.
Ideally located between station and opera house, near to the Water Tower/centre. Friendly, clean, comfortable, quiet and good value. My second visit and I shall go again.
Nice breakfast and staff. Bike storage room available.
The hotel is in one of the nicest parts of Mannheim (Oststadt), but still a short walk or bus ride from downtown. Also, the Tante Anna is not just a cookie-cutter business hotel, but a real part of the community with a very tastefully appointed and welcoming lounge, a theater, a bar and a nice dining area.
It gets hot and humid in Mannheim in the summer months. It would have been nice if a fan or mobile ac unit were provided especially for the rooms on the upper floors.
very special atmosphere of charming hotel, quiet room for those on the backside of the building, space for sitting together for a chat and a drink with a large group
air conditioning a bit weak, or no air o in some other rooms
