Hotel Würzburger Hof ****

The room was more like an apartment. Very roomy and well appointed. Views were very nice and a short walk to the train station. Also walkable to most major sights. Loved!

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. We arrived early and were given a room very quickly. Beautiful hotel!

Friendly staff

There was a distinct chemical smell in my room. It was either a strange detergent or something else from a flooring treatment. Even keeping the window open was not sufficient to get rid of the smell.

Location of the hotel is excellent, you are in the middle of everything, nice restaurants, and it's easy to walk around the city

The staff of the hotel makes it even more charming and super helpful, and the parking that they provide in the nearby garage is perfect

The suite was great, really nice to have all that space when we were resting between excursions. I've been in Wurzburg 4 times and stayed at this hotel every time, I wouldn't consider another place. The front desk staff was very helpful, they made some calls for us.

Great location. Bed was very comfortable and they greet you with a local glass of wine. Room was quiet. Shower had great pressure. Parking was reserved in a garage only 100 meters away. Very easy to deal with.

We couldn’t get the oil heater to turn down so we had to crack the window.

I booked a single room and it was nicely appointed with a comfortable bed. I also appreciated the welcome glass of wine! The front desk staff were nice. The location was good, about a ten minute walk from the train station or to the historic center of town.

Amazing location and very clean. Everything you would need and even some extras such as over night shoe cleaning service. The staff really want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. If I were to go to Würzburg again, I would stay here.

There is no aircon, however it is only a problem if there is 30°C degrees outside and one Ioves to sleep in a cold room.

The refrigerator was a luke warm wine cooler with no room for our stuff. The parking was not easy or convenient. The room was extremely hot with no air conditioning and can't leave windows open at night due to noise.

In the city that’s really nice

The parking is not ideal you have to go to a parking garage to park and it is an extra cost.

It was a good-sized room and the bathroom looked nice.

As others have mentioned, the hotel is in an unattractive, noisy part of town. The elevator is small, slow, and sometimes doesn’t work at all. Our stay here was the worst we’ve ever experienced in decades of travel. This was due to mechanical problems with the room that staff was unwilling to mitigate. When we got into our room, it was unbelievably hot (easily over 30 degrees C). We checked the radiators. Some were dialed on, some were off, but all were very hot. We turned them all off, opened the windows, and went to dinner. The radiators and room did not cool down. My wife convinced the man at the front desk to take a look. He confirmed that they were broken, stuck full blast hot, and could not be lowered or turned off. I asked to change rooms. He said no, the hotel was full. Could he help us find another hotel with vacancy? No. He gave us earplugs and told us to open all the windows. I pointed out the windows were open, had been for hours, and the room was still uninhabitable. He said this was too bad - for us. Could he give us a refund or partial refund? No. We found another hotel in town and checked out about 21:00. Before getting into the cab, I asked if he would refund the breakfast we had paid for the next day. No. We are not picky people. We’ve made the best of some pretty bad places all over the world. Never before had to walk away from a room that we booked. Never before encountered a hotel staff quite like this.
