City Hotel Würzburg

It was close to the city centrum. It was newly renovated (but had a bad room odor).

The layout of the hotel was not so good. There were no elevators! There is no air conditioning. The streets and apartments around the hotel are not quiet (windows had to be open because it was so hot). Windows did not have screens or roladin. Parking was very challenging!!

Great location. Was able to find street parking.

Breakfast cost was a little high.

Too old, a bit dirty, shower room was too small, bed creaked, no elevator, a bit far from the station.

The room is completely adequate and well thought out. We were comfortable and had no issues. The breakfast was well organized. The staff was young, hip, polite and friendly, spoke excellent English.

No parking lot, no elevator. But we knew all of that ahead of time, and planned accordingly. We were in a different city the night before, and had packed in a small bag everything we needed for the our stay in a smaller bag. We left the big suitcase in the car overnight. The nearby parking garage had plenty of spaces to park.

The only thing I liked was the outside of the hotel.

The receptionist on arrival told us that he had to give us a better room because it was full, when we got to the room, the gel dispensers in the bathroom and shower were broken, the mattresses were very hard and the pillows were as thin as a sheet, it was preferable to sleep without anything, when we checked out the receptionist was smoking, he saw us enter the reception and came when he finished smoking. All in all a very short stay hotel unfortunately.

The hotel was very central. The staff were friendly and well-organized. The room was as advertised, a bit small but comfortable. Recommended.

This is a friendly, clean hotel close to the railway station and a short walk to the city centre and river. No lift but only 2 stories high. Plenty of storage space in the bedroom along with a TV, free wifi and a mini safe. Usual buffet breakfast. Quiet room with plenty of power sockets. Good sized en-suite with shower

The hotel had no elevator and the manager gave us a room at the top floor and we had to lug all our bags through multiple floors. The hotel should clearly advertise that this property is NOT accessible to the elderly or those with health challenges. The manager did not seem terribly helpful either; just plainly told us he could not assign us another room as the hotel was sold out. Secondly the shower protective wall did not extend far enough to prevent any natural splashes due to showering from wetting the bathroom floor. As a result, a mini-puddle was formed by the tube you got out. This is a MAJOR design flaw.

This is a good value hotel. Nice and helpful staff. No lift. Our room was dated but clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Parking is in a nearby ramp. Short walk to City Center. Restaurants nearby.

It was close to all the attractions and shopping and was clean and comfortable.

No lift. There was a sort of mezzanine level that was raised up so that you had to walk up and down those stairs every time you walked to and from your room. They had a tea and coffee table with teabags and coffee and a sign saying it was for guests. But I only saw hot water there once in five days. And that one time I saw hot water, there were no cups, so one still couldn’t make tea. I would have loved it if they had provided tea and coffee supplies in every room. There was a fridge in the room but no tea kettle etc. Also the breakfasts were a bit basic, but the breakfast service was very good

It is only 5-10 min from the main station. 24h vending machine and free coffee and tea.

No lift access to rooms. Our room was a bit of a trek up several flights and into the connecting building.

Very easy to find from the train-station by foot. We arrived after dark so it was difficult to evaluate the area on arrival. However, other than needing carpets replaced, the hotel is very comfortable, in a perfect location with a delicious breakfast. Beds were comfortable and the room we had was quiet. Everything was clean. Staff were all quite friendly.

No lift - we were on the top floor! But to be fair, we were informed of this when booking and offered a more expensive room on a lower level. And the man at reception kindly carried my wife’s luggage up the stairs.
