Greifensteiner Hof

This was the fourth stay at this great Würzburg hotel. Always wonderful - the rooms are clean and neat, the staff wonderful and the location fantastic.

It was incredible how close it was to the Marktplatz! Easy to get out. Our room key would not open that door from the outside in.

There was a slight sewer smell in the reception area and in our room.

This hotel was in the perfect spot for my trip to Würzburg! It’s just a short walk to the river and surrounded by fantastic shopping. Getting to the Residence was easy with a flat walk, and I had no trouble walking from the main HBF to the hotel with my luggage—no taxi needed! The bed was super comfortable, and the amenities were excellent. Breakfast was delicious, the coffee was great, and the staff was wonderful. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

The location is great. The staff on site was very helpful and nice. She went out of her way to let me keep my luggage after check-out while I walked around the town.

Facilities are quite old. For similar to lower prices, other hotels on my trip had better TVs, offered coffee machines with coffee in the room. Since there is no staff at reception 24/7, I could not reach staff at night when I had trouble figuring out the wifi connection.

Very good breakfast. The location is perfect, in the town centre. You can reach walking the main touristic destinations. We had a mice and spacious room

It is difficult to move inside avoiding completely stairs, although lifts are available.

Location was great.

15 euros extra for parking per night, strange. Is not a cheep hotel, this could have been included.

Tiny elevator to get luggage upstairs.Dusty cobwebs along the ceiling in places.

The cleaning could have been better. The rug was dusty and had lint on it. It needed vacuuming.

Staff, location and parking. Breakfast was good but overly priced. No sounds from the street due to double windows.

No vegetables for breakfast what so ever. Not a 4 star hotel according to EU regulation. Soft mattress.

I thought this hotel was going to be nestled in the foothills of the Alps and in a peaceful location to enjoy for a couple of days. It was all fine but it was on a fairly busy road so, we might as well have stayed in town where we were nearer to things because the noise is likely to have been the same. Check in was easy. The room had everything we needed. The bed was very hard and I borrowed another chair from downstairs so we had 2 chairs. It was all fine, just more functional than special and I’d been hoping it was more special. They had an honesty bar downstairs, and a piano so they were unexpected perks.

It was on a noisy road and not the secluded location I was, perhaps foolishly, expecting.

The location was the best! Right at the Marktplatz & convenient to walk everywhere. My room was comfy & very clean, newer bathroom/shower & comfortable bed.Breakfast was good.

I arrived on a Sunday & NO ONE was there! Reception closed. Had to wait 40 mins outside till a hotel guest saw me outside with my luggage & let me in. During the week it should be fine . They should’ve emailed instructions prior so I knew what to do to get my key.

I really liked the Staff especially the young man who changed my room because it was cold also they allowed me to check in at 11:00 am instead of normal 3:00 time thank youn

I didn’t like having to take this large key with me…if I lost it I wouldn’t be able to re-enter the building because at 9:00pm no one would be there working 24-7…I think a key box or combination pad for guests that have a special code to renter their rooms or the bus will make it friendly

Reception member on arrival was disengaged and unhelpful. Apart from breakfast area, decor is utilitarian with ikea type furnishings, lift small with the paintwork chipped and floor carpet dirty, there are broken glass bricks in the stairwell.Our room had paper thin curtains, the bathroom was cramped and the shower door didn’t close, the towels were old, thin and frayed. No tea/coffee making facility.There a minimal parking available on site and no alternative could be suggested by staff.

Very good choices

To reach our suite meant leaving the main hotel and walking a few metres in the open to a separate location. Wouldn't have been so bad but we arrived in heavy rain - can't critise the hotel for this and we were helped with our luggage for which we were grateful.

The Greifenstein is a small, clean, quiet hotel right off the historic Marketplatz in Wurzburg. We liked our spacious room, especially the very comfortable beds and pillows.

It is close to the city center. It is close to nice shops and better places.

Very bad personnel, no customer oriented, but only looking for money. No room clean service. Breakfast very expensive.Too expensive for the value and the place.They speak English very bad.

Great place to stay if you do sightseeing downtown. They have a good breakfast and room, not too luxurious, but that's ok for the price.

The location was right in the heart of Wurzburg. The hotel is fitted out to a very high standard and oozes quality in every fitting. We loved it.

Breakfast was pricier than we'd have liked. I'm sure it would have been great but we ate while out walking instead of stopping in.

We had 2 rooms for our family group and they were comfortable and very clean. Fridge in room was good
