Pros +
- Great staff, good location, clean room.
- The location is very convenient to parking and sites. Breakfast was fantastic. The bathroom was among the best of our 10-day trip.
- A fantastic spacious room. Easy access. We enjoyed our stay in Wurzburg!
Cons -
- It was not air conditioned, so even on a high 70's day, on the 4th floor of the hotel, the room was stuffy at night, even with the windows open.
- The room aesthetic isn't great, but that's subjective. It wouldn't keep us from returning.
- The only thing I didn't like is the self check in. I mean it was seamless, call me old fashioned but I like to have someone there just in case of emergencies. By no means the end of the world though.

I seriously don't get all the bad reviews this hotel gets? We stayed for three nights. The room was spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable. Decent coffee machine and kettle in room. Bathroom and shower faultless, in fact I'd go as far to say the shower was one of the best we've experienced. Outside space amazing, even if it did rain, it still was nice to be able to sit outside having a coffee between showers. Lovely little bakery next door for fresh pastries and coffee. We didn't book breakfast, why would you when bakery is so convenient? Another major plus is the Italian restaurant downstairs , so good, we ate there every night! Fantastic location, a very short walk from train station and main areas. I'd have no hesitation recommending this to family and friends. We stayed in room 6.

Good location
The sheets on the bed had hair, probably not washed. The sheets for the sofa bed were not enough, also dirty.
The property is conveniently located near the main attractions and offers a spacious room.
There were no staff present on the property, and you needed a local phone number to contact them to get the pin to enter the room. The “luggage storage” advertised was actually just a small storage area suitable only for a small bag. Additionally, there room was dusty
An unpleasant surprise. In my...
1. Website description calls this place a “traditional hotel”. In my understanding a traditional hotel has a reception desk. This one does not have a reception desk or any staff present to meet guests on arrival, only available by phone. Check-in is online, with access to rooms by a code. I found this experience exceedingly unpleasant, impersonal and dystopian.2. Website description also says that “Guests can enjoy a rich breakfast buffet at the hotel”. This was not the case. Instead, there was a notice recommending to guests an option to have breakfast at a café some 500 metres away.
Clean, close to the city centre
Early check-in
Code system was not clear and complicated. Double bed was rather 1/2 bed, small and not comfortable
Clean, uncluttered room.
The lack of any staff on site and the most convoluted method of gaining access to my room that I've ever experienced. I had to complete pre-arrival info on the website, but that didn't help me, because the room access code was sent to me in a separate email. Except it wasn't. The field where the code should be was blank. The help poster on site had a QR code, but that just took me to the website with the same lack of crucial info - my room access code. The emergency contact number didn't have anyone manning it out of hours, so it took a while to get a response. In summary, this is not a hotel. It's a group of air bnb's in the same building. There is no reception desk, there is nowhere to leave luggage, there is nobody on site to assist when you can't access your room. I learned a lesson - I won't be staying somewhere like this again. The bathroom tap had a mind of its own. It wouldn't switch on when I needed it to, but it switched itself on in the middle of the night. I ended up washing my teeth using the shower head. The bedside plugs hidden by tables. Unhelpful.
Beautiful and comfortable room in a nice location
This is a hotel without any personal contact. You have to check in at exactly 16:00 and not a minute earlier (we had to wait outside). Opening the front door was a problem because the PIN did not match the PIN we received via mail. (We were not the only ones confused by this). The room was good and comfortable, but could have received some more attention from the staff before we checked in: unlike mentioned there was no coffee available, only one half roll of toilet paper (we had to buy both ourselves), and one of the curtains had run off the rails. Other than that, everything was fine and we definitely enjoyed our stay
The room was spacious with simple decoration. We got all the basic needs. About 8 mins walk from main train station so not too bad.
The bathroom has bad sewage smell. Check in was a bit confusion as you need to enter your activation code first then after that you could use your room code. The curtains were broken so looked odd.
Good location. Nice family room with good beds. We could discover Wurzburg by foot easily. Nice city. Room was clean and we had a quiet night rest.
Cannot think of anything.
very clean and comfortable.check in and out on line was not so difficult and easy to understand.
parking was a problem.
The location is good, beds are comfy.
Hotels should never be run without people. At least one personnel must always be available at the premises. Especially if you are not easy to reach via phone. There might be emergencies etc. We had no hot water for 24 hours. No one at the hotel for help. Hard to reach anyone to tell the problem. After reaching them (only via phone) they told us to go check another room. The other room also did not have water. They insisted on that it did. We also had to go and check it ourselves bc there was no one present to help you with it (the other room was at the 5th floor with steep stairs and I recently had a knee operation but I had to check it twice myself) At the same time the person on the phone was very rude saying things like "Lady, listen. You talked, now I talk. This is how people communicate". Only the other day someone told us that it was bc of a problem from the city. Never apologised, never took any responsibility. We were locked out of our room on the second day with our valuables inside. Because probably we seemed like we checked into the other room on the top floor. Even though I told them that we were not moving there both in an email and on the phone. Again, the people on the phone were very rude. They told us we did not book for another day and asked US!!! to prove it. Long story short, hospitality from a hard-to-reach phone line is not nice. The people on the phone should also be thought to treat the visitors better, be more polite. Never experienced such a behavior at a hotel. So I made my mind, never staying at hotels that are run remotely.
Location is good.
The checking process was terrible. You need your phone to be charge and to understand the fairly complicated online process. Nobody will be there to help. The blankets are of cheapest kind. Not very comfortable.
Room space
We were given a room facing a bar where people sat until late at night, right next to the room's window. Not particularly suitable at all, as they didn't inform us.
The location was really nice. The beds were good and the room had a nice size. The bathroom was nice
We were dissapointed with our room ( Room number 5). The room itself was nice but it was located directly out to a courtyard with cafeguests and people walking by. That means that everyone could look directly into our room. Because of that and the noise from there, we had closed windows and the dark curtains for all the. We missed the light and the privacy. With the closed windows and warm summerweather, and no air-con in the room, the room was very hot during the nightThe digigtal check-in proces was not easy. I managed after some trouble, but when we arrived at the hotel we met a frustrated young woman who had given up on her reservation because of the difficault check-in proces.
Very nice fresh room with a big toilett/shower. Walking sitancr to the city center and other attractions.
The sink was a bit smelly. The windows went towards a inneryard with a seating area making it difficult to have the windows open. Parking on the street is difficult around.
We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and the location was great. You can easily walk there from the main station. We received all the information we needed for the self check-in well in advance. Overall extremely good value for money.
There is luggage storage on site, but only a limited number of lockers that only fit small suitcases.
