Great location, clean and a large room. I walk to city center and loads of restaurants. Very friendly staff.

Very comfortable, spacious room. Everuthing was clean and well maintained. Big shower and bathroom. Comfy bed.

I would have expected a better breakfast for the price. They have a great choice but the eggs where cold and the guacamole salty.

Modern, clean and spacious hotel adjacent to a large central park and the technical university campus. The highlight was the breakfast, a delicious spread in a beautiful, bright space looking out onto the campus and green space. Very enjoyable.

The room windows opened to a place which was very noisy in the early morning. Breakfast was not as rich as we used to get in Germany.

The only disapointment is the selection in the breakfast. Very limited , no yougurts, limited cerial, limited fresh frute, no bacon etc

Location is perfect for a stay in Darmstadt. The rooms are well laid-out and appointed and very clean and comfortable.

Nice and big room, new furniture, good repair, big bathroom, lot of storages and space for everything. Great location, from one side - beautiful park, from another - city centre with lots of great restaurants. Staff were really helpful and very friendly. We also enjoyed our breakfast and good coffee. Staying at this hotel second time and planning to come back again.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and had no qualms about speaking to us in English. Couldn't ask for a better location.

It was hard to balance the room between too hot and too cold at night (early October). The air con unit was also noisy and disruptive when trying to sleep.10/10 would be if there was a kettle provided in rooms, and breakfast ran later than 10am Mon-Sat.Also, bedding provided was two single duvets on a double bed- a bit awkward.

Modern hotel in a great location with a short walk to work place. Staff were friendly and welcoming in reception. Fluid check-in/out. Comfortable, spacious room together with a very clean bathroom.Great variety menu in restaurant and great food too.

The hotel is in a very good central location with parking below and direct elevator access into the hotel. The parking spaces are wide and good for kids. The location is good for visiting the main sites of the city and parks. The rooms were comfortable and had nice bathrooms. There are plenty of bakeries and restaurants nearby (would recommend the Persian restaurant Shiraz).

The hotel reception area is a little dated

I had an international flight returning to the US, cancelled after a 3 hour delay, leading to an ensuing rush for all 300 or 400 passengers to find a hotel. There are a number of hotels in or near the airport in Frankfurt, but all of them were 500 to 1000 euros a night...not great when the airline's statement reimbursement limit was 400 euros. I found the Welcome Hotel in Darmstadt at a much more affordable price, well under the 400 euro limit. The hotel is very nice, the restaurant attached has an amazing gin selection and good food.

The hotel is 13 miles from the airport. I did not try Uber to get to there, but Uber to return to the airport was unable to find me a car the next morning. The taxi ride was quite expensive - 70 euros although I shared a taxi with another passenger so only paid one way. The net of this one way plus the hotel cost was still well under the 400 euro reimbursement limit. Otherwise, the hotel itself was great although the wifi setup is odd: basically it seems to require the TV be on because turning said TV off also turned off the WiFi.

Breakfast, location, cleanliness, staff, was great for our dog, parking was plentiful and conveniently connected to the hotel.

The location was good. The breakfast was good quality and had a variety of items. The rooms were cleaned and beds were made everyday. The staff was helpful and allowed us early check in around 2 pm.

There was no airconditioning in the room which made it hot and uncomfortable at times.

The Area or location around the Hotel was good. Easy to reach places.PARKING WAS EXPENSIVE .

too expensive and the service and comfort was very poor . No mini bar or coffee machine in the room. standard room for 190 Euro with breakfast is too much for a hotel which has no service understanding.Never again.!

This is a great option for the centre of Darmstadt, perhaps the best. Most of the staff go above and beyond to help and the rooms were recently renovated, although the lack of closet is not ideal. Numerous options nearby, clean and easy to access, great shading/window system.

Was checked in after patiently waiting for 1.5 hour in a room without hot water and not cleaned, that was probably not intended to give to a guest at all given a few other details (this was a room without a phone to call the reception -not the case in any other room in a hotel we have stayed a number of times over the past decade). Was moved, but not after hearing one of the staff communicate to the cleaner who had her on loudspeaker that she should let me wait/keep me in that room to see whether the hot water could be fixed 1-2 hours later and that it was not a big deal. For me, arriving after six hours travel, waiting to have a shower and running to keep an appointment, this was a nightmare, so escalated to manager, etc. Room was changed, apology received, and pretty much everything went well after that, with everyone else from the staff being very kind and helpful. Room service options were also troublesome, probably because of long weekend, with wait for bottled water exceeding one hour, etc. This was perhaps because the hotel was full and running on minimum staff later in the day.
