Pros +
- The receptionists were very kind and helped me with everything I needed. The room was very clean.
- location would have been a plus since it is close, relatively, to the train station. Staff was polite and helpful.room is clean. Included breakfast is simple, water, coffee, some bread or bakery. Room has a ground standing fan, this helps when the air conditioning equipment is there by not providing service yet. Room is on 2nd floor, but no lift available, which, Booking.com should do a better job to point it out and label specifically. Neighborhood is quiet at night.
- easy check-inhelpful staff - recommending local restaurants.good breakfast
Cons -
- The room doesn’t have good lighting, and the furniture should be replaced.
- when I arrived hotel at after 2pm local time, the door was locked, no one was at reception. on the door there is a note, listed phone numbers one might call. it also noted that the check in is from 5pm to 21pm. I tried ring the door or tap, knock the door, no one answered. So I called the number listed on the note, one number has no answer, the other has answered, but couldn't come to the hotel to open the door, and suggest to find a bag deposit place nearby. I can understand that late check in time because of non readiness of the room, etc, but lock the door of a regular hotel during a regular business hours, that's something I have never met before, after have stayed hundreds of hotels in Italy, Spain, and other European countries. SoI has to drag my bags with me first back to the train station trying to find a bag deposit place, there was none, I had asked station crew, station bar crew, a nearby shoping mall store staff, Western Union store staff, etc, no luck. So then I decided to drag my bags first to the turistic info point of the city of Piacenza, in the central of the city, they said the civic museum has lockers, so I then drag my bags there, put them in the lockers, then was I able to resume my tour. Later I found out this hotel did state the late checkin time on Booking.com. when they say it, they mean it! Comparing to this , the slow draining of the shower drain didn't seem to be a problem at all, although at the end of the show, one will be standing in the puddle of water in the shower.
- Rooms are a bit tired, but we were asleep in them and it didn't matter.

Rooms are a bit tired, but we were asleep in them and it didn't matter.
bathroom: shower is not insulated and wather flows till the room
I liked nothing! no lamp close to the bed; not carpet; not enough blankets (it was cold)
The young girl at the front desk was extremely helpful and spoke English very well. She gave me a map and made dinner recommendations. Fixed breakfast for me the night before so I could leave before 7:00am the next morning. She also called a 'pilgrim's hostel' and made reservations in Italian for me for the next night. Really a big help.
Room was a bit dreary.
The Hotel was as advertised. Staff were extremely nice and professional.
Every shower would inevitably wet the whole bathroom floor.
Staff was incredibly lovely and kind humans. I liked it as my first hotel in Italia
facilities and services was in medium quality.
Beds super comfortable.
Dirty outside in the stairs. Our bedroom had some weird knocks on the door which is not reassuring. The lady at breakfast seemed to be bother to have to make coffee. Breakfast very limited
Good location, very kind staff, clean room, normal italian breakfast [sweets, nutella, jam, croissant, coffee]
Very old school. I mean very-very... childhood memories came from 80 -s :) the bed was uncomfortable
Unfortunately AC and TV were not working in my room all days . So I have to get credit for thatalso I stayed 6 nights and pay for 7 nights same thing I have to get credit for one night
Just make sure customer service is priority
It is well located, car park close by. Prior arrival the staff was AMAZING, in particular at helping me with check in way earlier the check in time. Ambra was brilliant at communicating and I was truly impressed as I work in hotels as well.
The toilet was not in the room. Tons of pigeons poo in the window. The furniture looks slightly creepy, but I knew it so it was fine. The girl at the check it was lovely, but when I checked out another receptionist look very unbothered. It’s 2 stars hotels so it was fine and overall my stay was very good!
Hotel Renovation Over due.
I am Via Francigena Pilgram walker, no car. Check-in person was mean, arrogant, argumentative & vindictive (she called booking.com to cancel reservation, saying "I will cancel and no rooms remaining in the city, good luck").. This is over my concern about check-in at 5:00. When making a reservation on booking.com, you don't know check-in times till after you have committed. Booking.com would not cancel, she said "you can leave or take room" What she ment I could leave and be charged no show. The room was just as bad, whole in the wall, bathroom light over sink didn't work, light by bed didn't work. The bathroom door squeezes bad. Bathroom lamination is coming apart.
Very good place. Nearby there are lots of churches and good places. If for Chinese, there is a good restaurant with very nice price.
The Hotel is relatively close to the train station. I slept only a couple of hours because I was late in the evening. The bed was really comfortable and the room relatively big.
The location was very good, so was the breakfast. The room was good and clean.
That is was not possible to bring the luggage before 2 pm... We had to wait more than 2 hours in a bar nearby.
Central location, for the area reasonably inexpensive.
Unwelcoming staff. Dirty and smelly public areas, smell of cigarette smoke in the bedroom. Faulty shower. Generally poorly looked after with dirty curtains and carpets.
Clean place, kind reception, location cose to train station and centre. The online hotel in the centre with affordable price, maybe due to the fact that it is old fashioned.
the location - close to train- + bus- stations, shopping, park, attractionsthe staff ?
the 1960s design and comfortthe fact that water / TV etc does not work greatparking not safe and around € 12 / dayboring breakfast no smoking - still people do smoke
