About

Villa Appiani is a charming 18th-century historic mansion, located in Trezzo sull'Adda just a 15-minute drive from Orio al Serio Airport, halfway between Milan and Bergamo, minutes from the A4 Capriate Highway exits, and 5 minutes from Leolandia. Decorated in an elegant contemporary style that echoes the colors of nature, with custom furniture and parquet floors, rooms at this 4-star hotel include LCD TVs, free WiFi and tea and coffee making facilities. The villa also has a glass-covered and air-conditioned indoor cloister, ideal for hosting weddings or rehearsed parties. Its La Cantina Restaurant, whose chef Alessandro belongs to the Slow Food Alliance of Chefs, which promotes the good, fair and clean foods of the territory to preserve its biodiversity, expresses the perfect combination between Lombard culinary tradition and contemporary creativity. For bike lovers, the hotel offers bike rooms located on the ground floor for easy access of bicycles directly to the room where there are special racks; a free e-bike recharging service with tool kit is available, as are electric bikes that can be rented. The villa also has a children's area and parking spaces with charging station for electric and hybrid vehicles. Villa Appiani has been awarded DCA Susteinability certification by Dream&Charme, an Accredia-accredited certifying body.

    • We liked an opportunity to stay at ancient villa. It’s clean and well-maintained. Located in the downtown of small town, near the nice park and the river. Good breakfast, parking is available on site. We loved our stay!

    Cons -

    • This place was amazing and beautiful, with a magical Christmas atmosphere. The service was perfect, and the rooms and common areas were comfortable and very clean. The food and the restaurant were of very high quality. The location was also excellent.Everything was simply perfect. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.
    • Breakfast was very poor, no vegetables at all, at 9.30 run out of pancakes for kids, there were also no vegan and gluten free choices, it was crowded, one person was serving more than 60 guests, tables were not clean
    • If anything it got a bit warm, we were there in winter so that's the good side to err on. It was easily resolved by a quick airing.

Staff was lovely. The room was amazing, the family room was removed from others so we had the feeling we were isolated and didn't bother others with kids and our dog. The location is great too, just next to the old town and castle.

If anything it got a bit warm, we were there in winter so that's the good side to err on. It was easily resolved by a quick airing.

Beautiful, classic, boutique style hotel. The decor was fab and felt true to the Italian experience. Super clean and modern. The breakfast and food was exceptional. Nice little extra touches like umbrellas at the door and lovely areas to sit in the lobby.

    Everything was fabulous

We stayed in a suite and it was beautiful. Loads of room, very clean, comfy beds and the bath with jacuzzi setting was an added bonus. The restaurant was was elegant and the food was really nice. We had a really enjoyable evening.

Ancient italian villa with all the modern standards, stunning position beyond a more ancient tower on the road to a liberty style hydroelectric station (a must see if first time in Trezzo). It has been comfortable parking in the hotel area and then walking out at night without driving. All kind of dining Is available in Town, not only more quality dining as offered in the structure itself and few others, but also pubs, bars, pizzas, chinese, icecreams...and last but not least (being the reason of our visit) with a 20 min. walk you can reach the famous Live Music Pub.

Reaching the Villa for the first time with help of Google Maps the app drove me to a side street and not to the hotel main entrance. So just remind yourself : bridge Capriate-Trezzo, Is the first construction you find on the right side at the end of the bridge if arriving from Capriate highway exit.

Nice staff and interior in hotel. Comfort beds and clean room.

    - Breakfast selection- Comfy bed- Nice and clean facilities overall- Good location if you want to visit the area

None are deal breakers, but since you ask:- Location of rooms at ground level: they are not very bright even on a sunny day, and you can hear the usual noise from the workers from the breakfast room and other rooms being cleaned. - Shower layout: although very nice bath and shower head, it is located outside the toilette, only separated by a curtain from the bedroom.- Breakfast times are different during weekdays and weekend and we weren’t informed during the check-in, and there was no additional information inside the room or the breakfast room.

I was visiting for a music festival at the Live Club which is about a 20 minute walk from this hotel. There are limited accommodation options in this small town but I can't recommend Villa Appiani highly enough. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English which helped me a lot. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options.

The air conditioning in my room broke after the first night of my stay. I reported the issue to housekeeping (as there was a puddle forming) but unfortunately it remained broken for the rest of my stay. It wasn't a big issue for me personally as it wasn't too hot.

Firstly the location was great, with an old 18th century villa converted in a classic but modern way. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and the restaurant was a great Italian food experience. Thank you Serena for the great Aperol Spritz. And Mauro for great suggestions and for being accommodating.

It's hard to find any negatives. The weather was terrible, but luckily they have umbrellas for the guests :)

    Excellent staff

Little noise from the road in the room. No noise insulation

My son is coeliac and even tough the kitchen did not have gluten free pasta on hand (which I do recommend) once we provided our own pasta the staff was ready to prepare him a dish. The was great with plenty of options including gluten free items. The room was amazing very spacious and the beds super comfortable, unfortunately during our stay we had very rude guests next to us who kept a noise level well beyond acceptable well into the night. (maybe the hotel can advise about quiet hours). We will surely stay again if we are in the area.

From the two that welcomed me and never hesitated about an early check-in once it was known, my room was ready to the lovely warm farewell. This place was a joy. Position brilliant and restaurant staff wonderful.

Villa Appiani is an excellent choice if you're traveling by car — perfectly located as a hub for exploring the region. The staff were very professional and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and the bed was quite comfortable. Highly recommended for a relaxing and convenient stay

The breakfast could be improved, as some items like eggs and pancakes were not always replenished when they ran out. A bit more attention to keeping things stocked would make the experience much better.

Room was clean and comfortable. Good mattress. Location was great.

The shower in our room was very small. There were no natural water bottles in the room. We had to ask for these at quite a price. Parking was a challenge when we stayed there. The tv was on the side entrance wall. It's not at all easy to watch at this angle.

Beautiful hotel with lots of character. Decor throughout the hotel was lovely and our room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The staff, especially at breakfast were friendly , welcoming and happy! Which makes a pleasant change. The location was great, walking distance to some historical sites and close to the motorway. Would recommend to family and friends.

The shower cubicle was a little small. We were OK, but I can image larger people would struggle.
