Hôtel Le Savoie

The location is great, just a few minutes away from the train station. Price is fair for what you get, and there is a large choice of rooms (e.g. 3 beds, twin beds) which is perfect for large groups.

Rooms are quite old and small, there is no soap or shampoo in the bathrooms. The breakfast is correct, but there isn't a lot of choice, I expected better for the price (12 euros). Be careful about the heat when booking in summer, as there is no A/C and the top floor rooms can get quite hot.

Hotel le Savoie is the best cheap hotel in downtown Albertville. I've stayed there several times. The breakfast is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's very close to the train/bus station.

The shower only has a handheld showerhead, no wall attachment.

We didn’t stay, it was disgustingly dirty. Didn’t feel safe

We didn’t end up staying. The room was absolutely filthy. The chairs and mattresses were very stained and the general feel of the hotel was awful. The room was dirty and very dated.The corridors were dark and uninviting. Nothing like the pictures online at all. We ended up booking another hotel because we couldn’t bring ourselves to sleep there. No towels in the bathroom.We didn’t feel safe !

Cheap and cheerful, very basic but clean and good value.

I booked two rooms , the second was very basic with 2 camp type beds in it and not much else and this was over 100 euro for one night !

Staff were efficient and provide a warm greeting. Off Street parking.

Beds are quite basic with mattresses that are functional rather than luxurious! Decor looking a little 'lived in'.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and is conveniently located a short walk away from the train station.

Good location, I phone plugs for charging. Quiet location and parking outside.

Top floor, no view, broken toilet cysten, twin beds- one ok, the other lumpy and v hard with only one small pillow. Towels old and frayed. Bathroom needs updating, standing holding shower head trying to wash and rinse hair not ideal, cobwebs in bathroom and dust layer on banisters. One light for 2 beds. Breakfast room cold.

Nothing it was a slightly shabby hotel that had no lift only rickety stairs to the third floor where u was first allocated a room ( before U complained)

Afternoon check in lady was nice

We have stayed here pre 2020, it has gone so down hill from then. Our room smelled very strongly of cigarettes and the towels we were given were ripped and threading. The property advertises the room are sound proofed, they are definitely not. Our first night involved us being constantly woken up by other guests shouting, playing music and banging doors. This started up again on our second night at 10.30, at which point we decided to leave and stay somewhere else as neither of us could take another sleepless night. Breakfast was awful, the older lady who ran the breakfast and who I think was the manager was extremely rude.

The staff was correct and cordial, the breakfast was correct, the water in the bathroom was clean and warm, the hotel was 10 min walk from the city centre.

Ideal for a short stay over; arrive late - shower - sleep - run; I will spare you the details although let’s say the hotel needs an overhaul…. A complete overhaul; beds - bathroom - towels - windows - lighting- insulation …. the works.

Parking

On arrival we are told the restaurant is closed for the two nights we were there. This information should be included in the description as it was a bit of a walk in to town.

The location was ok. Parking seat was safe. The lady from the reception was very nice.

Small room. The doors from the room to bathrooms where strange.
