Hotel Base Camp Lodge - Albertville

Very stylish facilities and good value for money

Incorrect information on booking.com where it states that guests can freely use pool and gym. Only after submitting the non-cancellable reservation, I received a text message stating that pool/gym costs 25 EUR each day for the dormatory guests. This is highly misleading information, and the hotel should change the info on booking.com immediately

Location w3as perfect for a stopover on the way up to the mountains, Great bar with singer on Saturday night, spacious rooms that were immaculate and 10 pin bowling in the next car park where we all had a great time.

Breakfast was excellent. Bathroom and beds were ok

No luxury, room decor appeared aged.

Breakfast was delicious. Lots of great options and very tasty. Just like other places in Europe, they had a great coffee machine with lots of options. The rooms were very comfortable and the views from the balcony were breathtaking.

Excellent location for trips , if you travel by car. Also many shopping markets and places at a small distance. beautiful green surroundings, amazibg viees from the garden. Rooms very spacious and clean. Staff very friendly. Good breakfast. Many facilities

The location is great being just off the main road

We found anything on site very expensive in comparison to similar in France, we ended up dining elsewhere.

The whole concept is very clever and I liked the forest/mountain theme, even the cable car lampshades, very fun. Immaculately clean and very comfortable.

Proximity to main road & skiing.All beautifully refurbished from our previous visit.

Excellent location for pre skiing week in Meribel. Short drive to resort. Lovely town with good restaurants. Great early breakfast

The property has all you need. It's extremely clean and the facilities are great. Everybody who works there is incredibly friendly. Restaurant is nice as well. It was our second stay and we definitely will come back.

Great location for just a one night stay en route to the mountains. Loved the co-working space. Loads of parking. Modern interior. Breakfast was lovely buffet. Evening dinner was very French and lovely.

the location Albertville the town was a run down but this was nothing to do with the hotel.

Reception staff were so kind and lovely. They always had a smile on their faces and were very hospitable.Parking was good was right outside the hotel,(but if you arrive very late a few times, you'll need to park a little further away from the hotel entrance which is not bad).You definitely, need a car to go to places - Hotel is in a nice area right by different kinds of supermarkets, fast food places and easy to jump into the motorway.Hotel is nicely refurbished, clean and quiet. Balcony was lovely size and great view of the mountain. Close by to go to different Ski resort and town so that's a plus!+

Feedback: would be great to have a kettle and little fridge in the room. Also, little table with stools in the balcony would be fab.Hot water in the shower stopped working the last few days which meant we had to shower in cold water which was brutal - especially as we needed it in the cold winter time (December 2024 & January 2025). But other than that, we really enjoyed our stay! Thank you.

It was exactly what we wanted but when we arrived we were told there had been a mix up in the dates and there was no room available, the staff really couldn’t have cared less and we were not alone with the same problem, there were two others in the lounge with the same issue Both French speaking, we had driven 900 miles to find out there was not room and nowhere else in Albertville with room

See above, perfect for what we wanted but we weren’t properly booked and had to leave after a 900 mile journey to ski very very very disappointed by booking.com

Cleaning staff and overall comucation is not efficient.

Lighting in room very poor.What lights there were not correctly situated.eg no light over basin in front of mirror. No magnifying light

Plenty of parking, great access, short drive to restaurants and shops

The dormitory was good value.

It only takes one idiot to ruin your stay in the dormitory, especially if there are only the two of you there. I might have been unlucky but he appeared to be a return visitor.
