The location and view of lake is very good

This reception is terrible since i booked 2 rooms for my family (2 adults and 2 kids.) incl. breakfast. The system shows only 1 adult max per room and I had to pay extra for the breakfast of my kids ,this is cheating.

The location and see view is unbelievable.

The bartender stopped taking cocktail orders 25 minutes before closing time. Showers should be properly cleaned, because there are already the first mold stains in the shower.

The breakfast was absolutely incredible, with an impressive variety and quality. The location is excellent — right on the water and just a couple of blocks from public transit — and it was a pleasure to stroll around the neighborhood over the weekend. The staff were outstanding: they noticed it was my birthday and left a personalized card and chocolates in the room, which was a very thoughtful touch. I also appreciated the pillow menu, which allowed me to choose a pillow that made for a great night’s sleep.

The room, especially the bathroom, was a bit dated, but it didn’t detract from the stay and seems consistent with a hotel that caters more to business travelers.

Location close to Lake Geneva, IMD, the Olympic Museum, and the Ouchy Metro station. Easy to reach by car. Room was quiet. The breakfast buffet has lots of options and is delicious. An affordable public parking garage is just across the street if hotel parking is not available.

Hotel was older and it was looking a little tired around the room, for instance, the bathroom was dated. It was by no means cheap daily rate and should have been more modern. Relying on location for high prices. We had to use parking across the road and hotel staff didn’t tell us we would get a discount there as hotel guests. Found out on last day from car park people. Would have saved us a lot of money to know that.

Perfect for IMD Visitors or students less than 5 minutes walk Everything was good starting from reception staff till check out

Food from room service

I stayed at Movenpick hotel during my EMBA onsite program at IMD. The location is perfect and the lake view is superb. I also appreciate the fact that I have free water bottles and coffee capsules re-filled every day.

The shower head doesn't have enough water pressure. It has improved compared to my last stay in 2025 September but taking a shower is still not very efficient.

Great location, mini fridge, bathrobe and slippers, iron in the room, large tv, amazing view to the lake, tea and coffee setup

Staff didn’t want to provide wine glasses to take to the room (reason being not enough glasses), very loud neighbours shouting and making loud noise very late at night, some mold in the shower, unpleasant sewage smell from canalisation

The hotel is surviving purely on its location and the Mövenpick name. It’s is tired, dirty in places (bathroom tiles etc), room smells, air con doesn’t work and WiFi is marginal. One of the worst hotels I have stayed in Switzerland. Staff are nice but that doesn’t make up for the state of the hotel. Breakfast is ‘industrial’ with piles of food but absolutely no finesse. Really poor overall.

In general, the furniture and rooms are pretty old and required a reinnovation. The price was high in exchange of the facility.

I loved the view of the property Staff were professional and helpful as well !Amazing breakfast and timing of the buffet.Everything you need is close to you (restaurants - groceries etc. )

Cars are noisy and they speed up in-front of the propertyAnd due to no AC you have to open the windows so the noise is louder.

Location is of course top convenient, space and stars are as advertised. The staff is up to expected standards.

Temperature regulation in the rooms is not. We set the thermostat as low as possible (19.5°C) but could never bring the temperature below 23. The bar and restaurant are fine, just not the coziest one cold imagine in a hotel of that class.

Great location near the lake and Ouchy district. Clean and spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. We slept well. We had a “lake view” room, but on the second floor you mostly see trees and the street. Ask for a room on top floors.

It could do with a bit of refreshment. Building is very ugly on the outside, but that’s fine. Bathrooms however could be modernized as they are clearly from the 1980s.Hotel was full as it was the Lausanne Marathon weekend and service was stretched.

The hotel was situated in a fantastic location with easy access to Lake Geneva, The Olympic museum and Metro station for free journeys around Lausanne. You get a free pass from the hotel. We also went across to Evian with discount on the ferry from the pass. Absolutely gem of a hotel. Special mention of Eli who was ever so helpful and made the check in a good experience. I would definitely be back . Shout out also to Bilali. All the staff we met were exceptional. Five star
