    Pros +

    • It’s 20min driving from St Moritz
    • Location and the views were spectacular. Very nice facilities and mini stove and all the utensils were a very nice surprise. Staff were nice and friendly. Bathroom was clean and my daughter loved the bathtub. Overall excellent stay.
    • Best choice for experience and price-value ratio. You can not find another palace hotel with this price. The build is hotirical artistic product. The outlook and inside decoration is magnificent. The facilities are old but clean and work well. TVs are new models allowing remote display. Very Good starting point or break after hiking. 1 min to Bus.

    Cons -

    • This doesn’t really feel like a proper hotel. The property feels understaffed and service is well below expectations: no help with luggage, no room service, and little to no information provided on arrival. When we got to our room the beds weren’t ready and we had to call the front desk. The location is fine—about a 15-minute drive from St. Moritz—and the building is very large, but the interior design is severely lacking and feels dated and style-less. Staff were not particularly friendly or accommodating, the spa has very limited and inconvenient hours, and the food is mediocre at best. Breakfast must be reserved a day in advance, which feels unnecessarily restrictive. For the price you’re paying, this is definitely a no-go.
    • Price of the food is a bit expensive.
    • A restaurant with dinner will be better and more convenient.

Location and historical value of the building. The cleaning ladies are super friendly and kind.

The person welcoming us was somehow unprofessional. Also water facilities are outdated. On one hand the hotel is supposed to be extra environmentally friendly even with multiple reminders to save the water but on the other side it is impossible to set the water to the stable temperature that is not burning the skin. That takes almost a minute of running water and even then the temperature is jumping.

Nice views, great staff, fancy old money vibes, but a bit run down.

The beds felt like sleeping on rocks in the middle of the road, thankfully, after asking on the second night we were given matress toppers.

Lovely property and a very pretty couple location. We took some lovely walks from that area.

Very clean very tasteful. Nostalgic property with a historic feeling about it.

Spacious apartments, high quality bedding, beautiful grounds

Sauna only open 4-8pm, but gym open 24hours which is excellent

A classic hotel with history, which alone makes it worth spending a few night there. In addition, in a fantastic location that in the past was only accessible to the happy few. The hotel seems to have come a in the years, but the comfortable rooms, grandeur and beautiful views make it worth a visit. an excellent place to start mountain tours or bike tours and explore the Engadin.

Just a suggestion: a bar (or self service) to have some drinks in the main hall would be nice.

Everything was perfect, starting from the very helpful and kind staff that let us enter the room before noon, to the very unique hotel facilities and rooms, atmosphere and great location. Could not recommend more! And would definitely come back.

    Nothing really.

WORST HOTEL EVER, absolute nightmare it’s literally scary being there!

The staff are ridiculous rude. I have never been spoken to so poorly in my life. The location is in the middle of nowhere where, it says 10/15 min from St Moritz but it’s a good 35 min and a taxi one way costs minimum 130chf. No one helps with luggage, there’s no housekeeping, it’s literally a place for the shining and has the shadiest crowd staying there. AVOID AT ALL COST this hotel NEEDS to be shut down!

Old but historic building and scenic location.

Rude, unfriendly and not accommodating employees. The manager of the hotel flipped out and shouted at us because we didn't order breakfast the day before, even though the lady at reception told us the night before that it was no problem to do so the next morning since we arrived late and all orders have already been placed with the kitchen. After trying to blame us, then the employee from the previous night, we got rushed to the breakfast room which was completely empty. I have never experienced anything so unfriendly and we will definitely not be staying at this hotel again in the future.Additionally, everything seems to be worn down, the Hotel is quite cold and it felt strange being one of the only guests in a Hotel that has capacity for probably well over 200 guests a night.

Location was amazing, room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. It was also very quiet.

A grand hotel in its time with nice surroundings with pleasant and helpful staff.

    10KenanPosted on: 9-27-2023

The staff was super nice and communicative to each message we sent. Traveling through Swiss you can't miss this if yo are nearby. In summer September it was nearly empty, which allowed me to work in the lobby in an amazing environment. Wifi was super strong in both the Room and the Lobby. Everything was super clean. The scenery in early morning, when sunrise combines with fog, is absolutely breathtaking.

I liked the bathroom/shower. The view was nice and there were animals nearby. The staff was very friendly. Parking was easy and accessible. It was nice there was a tea kettle in the room.

The breakfast was not included and not worth 22 Francs per person. They also had 4 people/groups on the list for breakfast (including ourselves) and enough food to feed dozens of people. The wifi did not reach our room. It would have been nice if there was a mini fridge or microwave. They have bottled water they left in the room but you would have to pay 5 Francs a bottle.

    Great hotel, 100 years ago

Charged my credit card £26.50 after I had left, claiming that breakfast wasn’t included, despite being told by reception that it was, when they proceeded to give me a token to exchange for breakfast.

In one word outstanding. A historic hotel. Nice and comfortable room. Highly recommended. I wish I stayed longer in the hotel. But we went for a late night stay and checked out early morning. So we didn’t manage to enjoy the ambiance of the hotel that much. Hopefully next time!

Magnificent palace, but a bit dated. Large and comfortable room. Breakfast in a huge dining room that was quite empty. A bit strange that there is no dinner available in the huge dining room.

Huge hotel with few guests. Outdated facilities and limited services.
