Belvédère Strandhotel

Rooms are modern, spacious and comfortable. The spa is fantastic and offers a variety of well kept facilities (steam rooms and saunas, indoor and outdoor pools etc). There are two restaurants, both with a great view over the lake. The staff is amazing, so friendly and accommodating. It is only a short walk from the train station and boat station allowing easy excursions within the region.

Nothing! Loved it and would come back. (The only thing that was a bit challenging was the wait time for food at both restaurants due to us having a small child with us but the food and service was great)

It’s my favorite hotel in spiez, it’s my third time staying there and also in summer which is my favorite time.

The property is nice is just that in winter nothing much is going on. But it’s not the hotel fault

The hotel is very basic, rudimentary, and ‚no frills‘ for the price it demands. Value for money is off. Some of the waiting staff is rather brash and confrontational. Additionally, the mattresses and pillows are not up to par.

The pool was fantastic!! Rooms were great and a terrific location.

Fantastic location outside the common tourist areas. Beautifully situated on Lake Thun. Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. Fair walk to the Spiez train station (although hilly) to get you to Thun in 10 mins, Interlaken or Oeschinensee in 25 mins, or Grindlewald and Lauterbrunnen within an hour. Very nice rooms, large space, clean and very quiet and comfortable. Easy walk to waterfront restaurants if you want to go beyond what the property offers (which is also very good). Fantastic breakfast on-site, pool, jacuzzi, dry sauna, and lounging area. This was our first trip to Switzerland, and we would absolutely stay here again.

Could use a concierge for those traveling from other countries. The front desk was generally kind and polite but would often answer basic questions (train related, or "where can I get a corkscrew") with "I dont know".. Didn't seem to make an effort to find the answer, and it felt like they couldn't be bothered (in fairness, it was the same person at the front desk I got both times, so maybe the others would have been more helpful). Any question about the hotel was handled well and was helpful, as well as storing luggage after checkout and before transporting from site. It wasn't a major issue, and maybe coming from a 5-star hotel in Paris with an excellent concierge grew on us. Could also use an iron and ironing board in the room and of course...a corkscrew...lol

Location, spa, bar, air conditioning

Bed was a small pad on a wooden slat frame - not the most comfortable. Pillows were down and I prefer gel or foam.

The room had the mountain view, it was outstanding. restaurant and bar have the lake view, it was magnificent.

the bed mattress, it was a bit on the hard side. Mattress was thin. also, there are no black out curtains, there's plenty of daylight in the room during sunrise.

Very comfortable and spacious room.We went mainly for the spa which was quite small and very crowded on Saturday afternoon.Dinner was great but the vegetarian menu could be improved.

limited food options from the hotel restaurant and room service, and the worst thing was when we booked a table at their restaurant, we waited at the restaurant door where the sign instructed us to wait but after a while where the waiters/waitresses kept ignoring us we entered the restaurant sat at one of the empty tables but after we sat one of them came to us and asked us who allowed you to set here was it one of my colleagues I informed her of what happened and we already reserved a table but she wasn’t convinced I even gave her my name and room number and the way she treated us felt like she looked down on us due to my wife wearing a hijab, because of her I can’t give the staff a good rating even though the reception was full of nice people even at the end one of her colleagues who served us the main course was a nice person. even though I doubt I will return to the same hotel I hope they add more variety to their menu’s in case I return with my friends since the location is great

- Internet was pretty bad- Smart TV not working as it should have (e.g. could not connect to Netflix)- Frankly too high of a price to make client pay 25 SFr. to check out one hour later

The hotel is close to the train station, just ten minutes walk. The hotel also provides free shuttle to the train station (booked a day before). The Lake view from the room is stunning ?

Big room, Everything clean and a comfortable wellness part.

Excellent service very friendly staff great location, comfortable room. The staff will do everything in their power to make you happy. The beds are comfortable great towels great spa.
