Location is good, the room is clean and has everything essential. Staff were friendly, and the movie theme was fun too!

Breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent. The view on the patio is beautiful!Also, the last day we got to visit the movieland museum, which was awesome!!

Excellent location, most helpful staff, clean, plenty of shelves and drawers. Nice individual air conditioning in the room. Very nice breakfast served in the restaurant with broad views of mountains , vineyard and lake. The restaurant serves meals and snacks all day, making it very convenient for hotel guests. EXCELLENT!!!

I liked everything.

Nice clean appartment with lake view, good kitchen.Road below hardly frequented over night and hard to hear with closed windows.Very central, 1min walk from train station Spiez for day excursions.24h accessible parkhouse and groacery (Migros, Denner and farmacy) in same building.Hosts efficent.Reception at the cinema bar, which offers also breakfast at cost if wished.

Heating was low, but could be easly changed and was fine after some hours.Master bed room very comfortable. Sofabed rather hard to sleep.Hot water for long showers fine for 3 person, however there is is a boost buttom to restore within 2h.Don't get irritated of popcorn smell at reception ;-)

We loved the fun of the decor, all movie themed. The service from everyone was brilliant. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant which was excellent value for money. The room we stayed in was James Bond. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds and the most amazing pillows.

Proximity to the train station. It’s quirky, being a hotel, cinema and bistro but it added to the charm.

The hotel is just a 5 mins walk away from the main train station. There is a Migros supermarket right beside the hotel. The room was clean. The breakfast spread was good. The hotel has a small cinema below.

The pillows are too flat for our liking.

Best location! Very friendly staff! comfortable bed and beautiful room with different decoration related to art. The hotel is full of the kindness and love of life of the owners. I would love to go back if I have the chance. The price is reasonable. Breakfast is not buffet but the lady prepared undeserved very well.

Location was good. Close to the train station (which we used alot) and had a nice view of Lake Thun. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking at the lake at the end of our day. Staff was accommodating and grocery store was next door.

Not enough restaurants close by. You have to walk down to the lake to go to any restaurants. The walk is a little steep when you are coming back from the lake

The only thing I would change is the pillows! They were big and weird and floppy, and had weird textured pillow cases, and I wish they were just normal. But everything else was great!

Everything was fantastic. Proximity to train station. Fantastic view of lake Thunersee from the restaurant where I sat for hours. Special care for me was taken for breakfast because I’m a strict vegetarian and I loved it. It’s a family hotel/theatre run professionally and with love. Amazing suggestions were given to me for my daily tours. The room and the bathroom was clean. The encanto stuffed toys did scare me a lil bit but it was fine after 2 days plus it was a cute theme. The rooms didn’t have numbers. They had a theme based probably on movies. Hot water kettle was in the room with tea/coffee. Special thank you to the family and the staff for everything. They were generous enough to let me stay on their restaurant terrace until the last hour. God bless.

The town Spiez sleeps too early. By the time I would reach back, everything would be closed. As a tourist you want some 24/7 grocery kind of place around.

The position of the hotel, the friendliness of the staff,. My room was large and very welcoming. Breakfasts were good and I also had a delicious evening meal there.

I often wondered why it was so difficult to book this hotel. Now I know why. It is a small family run hotel that offers excellent service and food. Although not a problem for me, the earliest breakfast time of 0830 might not suit everyone. Has its own restaurant which offers a limited menu and specializes in flamenkuchen and pizzas. Had stayed in Spiez a number of times at another family run hotel, the Bellevue during the time it was owned by the Maurer and, later, the Barua family. Sadly, it is now a boutique hotel offerrring poor value for money and where everything was limited and even minor requests seemed a problem. It was a pleasure to stay at the welcoming Movieworld Notel and I would recommend it to everyone
