Cons -
- One reception desk employee did not seem to want to help us solve a problem. She kept shifting her attention back to the screen. We were the only guests present. This was in contrast to others who gave everyone their full attention all the time. 4 stars?
- Rooms not well equipped especially bathrooms, no ac
- Breakfast was very poor. Nothing to choose from, especially if you're vegetarian. Mostly were food pork and no vegetables at all.

Swimming pools and sauna were very nice. My friends and I didn't notice how we spent 3-4 hours in the water since water temperature was very optimal

Very nice room, good value for money
It's a bit further from the city centre than we had initially thought, and the information that the hotel was being refurbished was a little hidden in the paperwork
Conveniently located within walking distance into town. Spa is being rebuild currently, so guests can enjoy the thermal baths for free (for the time being ?). Breakfast was very good, we especially enjoyed the local products very much.
The room has "aged" a bit. There was nothing wrong with it, the best years are behind it, though...
The room was nice, we liked the complementary coffee, the beds were very comfortable. We just loved the à la carte Restaurant, absolutely fabulous, and so was the breakfast. Great location for day trips, e.g. walking in the Jura.
Someone had obviously been smoking in the loggia outside the room, as there was a distinct smell of cold smoke. We weren't too happy about that, we think all traces should be removed before the next guests come.
The hotel facilities, the breakfast, the pool
The pool area, still is not having full experience (i.e. the changing rooms are in a bunkhouse, not very luxurious.
The staff was really nice and we really enjoyed the pool, sauna and the breakfast! Recommend this combo :)
The old style and unique
Becauae its inder renovation, a bit is hasstle
Large room, access to the pool, early breakfast with options
Strong cigarette smell in my room
The thermal baths and the location. The thermal waters are great and the swimming pools are very clean .
The property is still undergoing major works which limits what we can do, the number of pools, etc We used to be able to rent bikes at the hotel and they stopped this during winter which was a pity
It’s a lovely old building.
Renovations were ongoing. The indoor pool was not open. The rooms are not very soundproof.
Cleanliness and food.
I booked it mainly for the thermal water and to spend one night there, they did not mention that the indoor pool was under renovation , only second day after I booked a room through booking I received an email mentioning it.
Beautiful room very spacious
A bit dated, breakfast room dated
location
cold room with no temperature regulation possibility, the hair dryer produce the unbearable smell, breakfast room very cold, fruit salads are frozen, orange jus are frozen and very cheap quality - probably the cheapest on the market,
Bad
My life was in danger. They allowed man with big swiss KNIFE to enter sauna and threaten people. NO SECURITY. NO SAFETY. I ended up spending my evening with police and in the room as I was shacking from fear. They have NO security. 0. So if smn stubb you with knife its ur problem! Very pathetic and disgusting follow up. Upon living the hotel they ensured me that they will compensate such awful experience and after I put an email, I hear that they are a victim and NOTHING they can do. Plus its a bunch of liers!!! NEVER go there! You can be stubbed with a knife!
Quite a grand exterior and nice reception. It's in a refurb/remodel but the thermal pools were fun even in doubtful weather- free on site parking always good when travelling with a car full of things. Very nice grand breakfast room
The rooms are rather 'modern' but sadly not in a good way rather an 80's vibe. No restaurants nearby so a short drive into centre required and the lake is nowhere to be seen
Historic structure, quaint town
The majority of the thermal bath complex is closed due to a major renovation to be completed by 2027. Only 2 outdoor pools and a temporary sauna (in a railroad boxcar) are open amidst a giant construction site with swinging crane overhead. Dressing rooms are housed in temporary white construction boxes. Hotel awaits a major renovation yet pricing remains about the same. A mere 4 franc discount for day users of the baths. No notice to clients about the works appears on the hotel website or on Booking.com.
The breakfast was good with a wide selection. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Modern TV and a small fridge are available. Balcony out towards the park area with beautiful old trees. Access to the thermal baths were included. Loved the sauna. Bathrobe, slippers, and towel available in the room.
The building and the rooms are not up to date. Stalactites and chipped paint on the balcony, the bathroom has a tub. The sink is too low. The curtains had a smudge on them (probably clean, but still not nice to look at). Thick curtains only for show, cannot pull them shut completely. Soundproofing not great, can hear people in the corridor.
