Very well placed. Best location possible. Very cosy. The Grill restaurant has excellent food although quite pricey. Nice pool. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff overall.
The spa area is a little old but functional.

It is more than suprising, that staff at a Swiss hotel doesn’t understand any Swiss German. At the front desk they at least understood High German, at Breakfast bits of English but barely a word of German. Staff didn’t behave like they actually wanted to serve you (except at Pöstli Corner). I even had to ask how to get to my room upon check-in as they didn’t mention it. At breakfast on the first morning they didn’t even inform us of the à la Carte Options. When serving a second coffee, they just shuffled the dirty cups on the table around to make space and walked away empty-handed. Orders at breakfast took an eternity to arrive on both mornings even though there were only 4 tables occupied. In the sauna they were blasting a radio station with Ads and News all the time - how relaxing. There was a pile of cardboard cups in the Wellness area next to an empty water jar - I would expect better in a Swiss 4*-Hotel. The single rooms have a slim single bed even though there would be space for larger beds. They will send you a link to an online “Check-in”-form that suggests you would actually be able to check in. Once you have filled in all the information, a message appears thanking you for submitting your data and that you have to restart the online-process to check-in. Thinking this was an error, I mentioned it to the front desk when I was physically checking in. Answer: checking in online is not possible. Full stop.

Passable
This is not worth the stars… yes there s a tv, a hair drier etc, but the place is from the 70ies and hasnt really been invested in… windows are so old you hear everything from outside and cold gets in. Carpets are dirty.

Large terraine to explore. Skiing all the way to Klosters was fun. Long cruising runs and some steeps to keep it varied. Lots of side runs along the valley to keep it fresh. Keeps you busy for the week.
The crowds at the choke points was tiring. The funicular at Parsennebahn created a long wait in the morning. The one trail back to Davos to mid station was also a choke point. If you planned when you left the mountain by delaying at the top it was much better.
close to Davos Platz station, friendly staff, good breakfast
the elevator was not working through the entire 3 days of my stay, I wonder if something like this could be fixed faster. This is something the hotel should inform about in advance so that arrangements can be made; you cannot know if there are guests who really need an elevator (eg pregnant or elderly, leg pains) and for them it‘s not too much fun to climb up the stairs and the fact that someone carries your luggage will not help much.

Ski facilities good, personnel very kind, room clean, excellent bathroom, cosy lobby with fire place, fresh, excellent bread and cheese in the morning, good coffee, location near railwaystation , jakobshorn and skibus.
Climatization of room (hot in the night), however it was possible to open the window.. Stayed at 3rd floor.Pastry at breakfast was not very appetizing. Had expected a bit better for the price...
rooms are very small. literally impossible to move around. breakfast nice but mo veggies (strange for 4 stars)
stuff at the reception was not nice at all, which was extremely unpleasant given high prices around and during NY. at sauna my robe was taken by someone and reception charged 30 CHF for keys which were in pokets of the robe.
The hotel has a nice alpine chic decor and the location is super central. This was the place to be in Davos.A standout staff member was the maître de service who went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time.
The staff was a bit under par with two notable mentions going to the reception team who booked me into a restaurant where dogs were explicitly forbidden although we had talked several times about me being there with my dog. Another part was the service team at breakfast who answered my question as to where I should sit with "I don't care", which seemed a bit rude. Also, the bathrooms are tiny in some rooms. My shoulders would touch the walls and the shower when seated on the toilet. The major negative point was more to the city of Davos who proclaimed that fireworks were forbidden, which is the reason why I (and many other dog owners) travelled there for new year for the promise of a fireworks free celebration. The city hung up banners declaring the fireworks ban, but did nothing at all to enforce it or stop fireworks being set off more or less continuously till 4 am.Therefore, if you want to avoid fireworks, go to more secluded places. For dog owners, I recommend Arosa.
Breakfast was the best I can remember. Not only omelettes and eggs to order but other interesting dishes. Very tasty from the Eggs Benedict to the superb coffee. The Italian/British waiters were exceptional: friendly and attentive.
Nothing to mention
the location is excellent, close to the station, all amenities, tge bus stip for going skiing, opposite a ski rental shop. The staff were professional and friendly, especially at breakfast, and the breakfast excellent.I also enjoyed the sauna and pool which really helped in between skiing sessions.
I struggled to sleep comfortably in the beginning in the single bed, maybe just because I was used to a double bed. It felt very narrow to me but I didn’t measure it! I got used to it after a few nights.
full of character, well appointed, lovely rooms and staff. delicious breakfast
Room in older part of building were lovely but being close to Main street had upside of great view on Davos but also late night/ early morning street noise
- Very good location.- Good facilities (sauna, swimming pool, three restaurants...).- Allowed for early check-in.- Breakfast is very good, it starts early, and the restaurant team is very friendly.
- The rooms have bad noise insulation. You can hear everything happening on the street. The windows of the room I had also did not close properly.
Breakfast was amazing, room was very clean
expensive
