Hotel Sommerau

We loved the fact that it was clean and a good restaurant there. It was convenient to the bus stop for getting to the old town and train.

It became a bit warm during the night as there was no air conditioning and we were also surprised by the cost of a small cup of coffee.

Rooms were nice. Close to bus stops.

Breakfast not included, but available at extra charge. It was hard to find a breakfast spot close. Even McDonald's didn't serve hot breakfast..only donuts.

The hotel was right next to the bus stop that takes you into town and the bus/train station so very convenient. Also walking distance to the mall and local/big Coop grocery store. Also, both the restaurant and breakfast food were very nice, my husband loved the cappuccino every morning!

It was not in the prettiest of locations but we weren’t there much so it didn’t really matter.

It's very hard to find hotel rooms in Chur, there is not a lot of choice. This is a good choice, as it's just a 10' bus direct from the train station. Room is nice, clean & quiet. Restaurant is great BUT very popular with locals, so book in advance!

Chur hotels are quite pricey, incl.this one.

It was a nice and clean hotel , good value for the money. We asked for a room with two beds instead of one big bed in order to put them together and sleep with our daughter better and they did it . The breakfast was basic but fresh and good .

Some of the rooms are close to the main road , due to its location , over the night it can be a bit noisy . But I guess there isn’t much that can be done about it

The duvet was so short I’m only 5ft 3 and my feet were cold! Breakfast was good but no cooked options

It is very clean and feels like newly furnished. It is next to the bus stop. Breakfast is modest yet good. Price was high, maybe because it was 30 dec.

The entrance drive way just right behind the petrol station, which we almost missed out.

Parking is good, all of the staff are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, especially the bread, which I think is fresh baked here. Rooms are clean and functional. From the outside it looks a little utilitarian and I don't think it claims to be a luxury resort but imo it's really good.

Nothing really

Loved the private parking for each room. Also enjoyed our meal at the hotel restaurant. The room is small but cozy.

There is no AC (although I think this may be unique to Switzerland, and not the hotel's policy).

Room had a broken glass on the floor.. my cousin had a cut on her foot because of it.Also, bathroom had hairs on the floor and shower. I've information the staff. They apologised but seriously frustrating. We were tired and warm and there was no air conditioning. It's crazy. So we just left first thing in the morning!

This Hotel is so convenient that we are stopping there anytime we are traveling through Switzerland. Moreover the restaurant is excellent, providing typical Swiss cuisine and a selection of local wines. The cheese is fantastic - try it for the breakfast !

The hotel was in a good location along our route. We were able to park outside our room. It had what we needed for a one night stay. The breakfast was good (we added it to the room cost, I believe)

It was definitely simple accommodation but was pretty expensive compared to other places we stayed in Europe over the same week, but I understand that is normal in Switzerland. The room was a bit hot without a fan or air con (we could have asked for a fan at the desk if we paid a deposit, I believe, but we did not)

Breakfast was ok, the room had a bathroom window with no cover so we couldn't block the morning light

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The outdoor area was nice but needed seat cushions to sit. The shower was good and the Internet worked well.

It was 33 C 92 F and no air conditioning or even a fan. The room was really small. The Television did not have any English speaking channels. The rooms are close to a busy roadway and since we had to have door open for air it was also noisy.

We enjoy staying there for a night. You can park in front of the room. Restaurant is really good. And after dinner you can walk around and discover Chur.
