Hotel Stern Chur

Historic hotel in old town is convenient to rail station, museums, restaurants, & shops.

Economy single rooms were as advertised. Would recommend upgrading to a regular single room if you are not on a tight budget.

Location was excellent, the front desk staff was pleasant and extremely accommodating and the breakfast was good.

We were on the 4th floor with no air conditioning or screens for the windows. The beams in the room, although charming, were difficult to maneuver around, especially for my 6'1" tall husband. Overall, the hotel was very nice but our room was far from what we expected.

The staff were extremely helpful and nice, and I loved the view from my hotel room. Though I only stayed for one night, I absolutely loved my stay since it was in the city center. I will definitely choose Hotel Stern whenever I am back in Chur!

Classical style room. Two bottles of mineral water.Breakfast ( I could have breakfast second day because of catching train)

Bed mattress was too soft so I could not rest well for two nights.

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the main train station. And the breakfast is pretty pretty good.

I booked an older hotel for the charm, but the rooms were pretty musty overall. Opening the windows didn't help as they would bang close and then open back up again due to the wind. I probably wouldn't stay here again, but it was okay for one night. There was construction in the hallway where my room was located, so the lights were out in the hallway, it was dingy and dark, and there was plastic covering the floors. And construction noise for most of my stay.

As I tried to make a reservation in the restaurant once I was told that it was fully booked even though there were little guests at the time.

Overall breakfast very satisfied and train station very near and convenient.

the room was horrible - the air was stale, windows closed, holding in the heat of the day, not prepared for guests arriving. the furniture was the worst I've ever seen in any hotel, motel, private home - it was like from a derelict accountancy firm that went out of business in 1980. The back of the bathroom door was covered in a green substance - luckily caught it before hanging anything on the hook. we asked to switch rooms, the second room was larger but no better.

Friendly and professional staff. Location was central for exploring the old town and close to transport. Room was clean and very comfortable.

My friend and I had been to Zurich, Poschiavo, Chur, Montreux and Lausanne in this trip. This hotel was the only hotel which had bugs biting us at night. Otherwise no complaints about this property.

it did not deserve a 4 star rating. we stayed at 5 different hotels in Switzerland, all 4 star. This hotel should have been rated 2.5 or-3

We had a wonderful meal at the hotelRestaurant - Gino (our waiter) was fabulous, he was friendly, helpful and had a great sense of humor!!

The location was very convenient to the train station and to the old town. The hotel staff was extremely helpful.

Location was good near to the old town, room was clean and nice although it had beams that i managed to hit 3 times lol Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

would of liked a shower mat, bath was deep to step into and slippy.
