- The beds were awesome- slept so well. Also in a great location and the staff was so helpful. Nice surprise- free breakfast was included
- This hotel is in the middle of Old Town....which in my opinion is GREAT! The food was wonderful, the included breakfast was really nice! A washcloth for the shower is a very important item, and they HAD it. Private bath in important, as well as WiFi.
- It was an updated room in a old-style building right on a beautiful square across from one of the city gates and just down the street from the gondola up the mountain - perfect location for experiencing the city! It's been there a long time, and I really enjoyed seeing pictures of the town and the hotel from the old days in the hallways - it was fun comparing them to what we saw when we walked around! The staff were so very helpful and the restaurant was just amazing - great food and a really traditional atmosphere! The staff were more than polite; they were engaging and funny. They made us feel like family! The fondue and capuns were fabulous - I would order them both again! This trip marked our second dinner and first lunch and breakfast at the restaurant. Lunch and dinner were amazing, and their breakfast for hotel guests was a traditional cold meat and cheese, eggs, etc. spread with very good bread - just lovely!
Cons -
- Parking is a problem in the Old Town, and overnight parking was more than 20.00 Swiss francs......very expensive, every night.
- What I didn't like had absolutely nothing to do with this hotel, but with the Chur Hotel's dance club. I'm sorry to say that it was so loud you could hear it throughout town when trying to take a walk in the evening/night. I find those places ridiculous and wish every one of them would sound proof - it's noise pollution!
- Area around the hotel is a little noisy. Could use a fan in the room for the warm weather months.

The Restaurant's food was great. Room is clean and simple.
Area around the hotel is a little noisy. Could use a fan in the room for the warm weather months.
Everything is in excellent condition and perfect because I visited this hotel from Denmark but my country is Sri Lanka, So I felt that this is a far ahead than I thought in terms of hospitality. Thank you hotel Fanziskaner.
No nothing everything is ok.
The location in Chur was great. As was the restaurant serving delicious home made food downstairs. The staff, one in particular, were very helpful. I would stay again if I could have a room on the first floor.
The building was old and I must have missed the bit that said there was no lift. We were were placed on the fourth floor which meant a long hike with suitcases up to the fourth floor. Our twin room was very small and our shared toilet was at the other end of the corridor. Apparently, the shower was on the first floor. There is no way I would have stayed longer than one night knowing that I had to go up and down three flights of stairs to have a shower. That was a shame. The room and toilet were very clean, though.
Marina was very friendly and welcoming. We accidentally missed the hotel breakfast time on our first day, and Marina offered us 2 hot drinks with some bread! Same happened when we did check out, she suggested us 2 coffees to go and breakfast food to take away! Thank you so much Marina! :)
1. Lack of hot beverage in the room2. Lack of shower gel in the bathroom ( we only had shampoo)3. A bit of noise in the night from outside
Central location, friendly staff, generous breakfast
The hotel was in the heart of the old city; the building around it was fascinating. It was 8 minutes' walk from the train station. The staff was nice, I ordered dinner at hotel’s restaurant it was very good. Breakfast was nice, the room was super small but for one night it was not that bad; the shared bathroom was clean.
No elevator, so you need to carry your suitcase by tiny stairs up to 2 floors, it was a bit uncomfortable, and the shared bathroom, was only one for the entire floor
Small. Just looking for a place to stay for the night and near the train station. Got there late at night but young host got us a table for dinner fast. She was so hospitable.
Central location, amazing receptionist! The room was clean and extra warm
The bed was not comfortable imo, and pillows too :( I couldn’t sleep all night
A person in the reception - blonde hair very kind and servicial helped me with the luggage too
Not lift - escalator
Excellent breakfast. Beds very comfy. Staff very friendly. Lovely location & about 10 mins walk to the train station.
Staff are friendly and helpful, the place is very basic but clean
The breakfast (and dinner ) was fantastic. The room was great too.
No lift so we had to carry our suitcases up stairs.
Staff were friendly & very helpful. Room was good, clean, and adequate for my stay. Bathroom was larger than expected, a welcome change from my last hotel. Easy access from Chur Altstadt and also easy walking distance from Chur HB. Breakfast was adequate and similar to other hotels.
No lift. Not uncommon in an older hotel in an old town. Staff offered to help but I managed ok.
Clean and comfortable.Nearer to the station
Basic breakfast
A good sized room with a big bathroom! We were lucky to be on the first floor and had yummy breakfast
I loved the location. It was close to downtown. I also loved the room. It was the perfect size for a single traveller. The breakfast was awesome!!
I didn’t like the fact that I had to walk up 4 flights of stairs with my luggage. Also the shower was one floor down which is inconvenient.
The position of the hotel is in the alte stadt and not far from Chur station. The breakfast is good with boiled egg and fresh fruits.
There is no elevator and the room is very small almost not easy to turn around.
