About
Designed by the celebrated Parisian architect Jean Nouvel, the hotel is centrally located next to a pleasant park in the heart of Lucerne. Free WiFi is available in the entire hotel. The Culture and Congress Center (KKL), the historic old town with its lake promenade and the train station are all reachable within a 5-minute walk. Celebrating simplicity and spirituality as much as elegance and refinement, the hotel aims to create a unique environment. This idea has been embraced wholeheartedly in the artistic interior which boldly incorporates an imaginative decor, creative features, and inventive touches such as pictures on the ceiling. The contemporary accommodations continues this theme and every room features a view of the park. Relax in the bar, or simply indulge in this sumptuous hotel and find inspiration in its originality and modernity.

Pros +
- The category room that we eventually were accommodated in was excellent. Management tried to put us in a "penthouse" room as a deceptive upgrade. It was a very small room as compared to the corner suite that was actually booked.
- Great location beautiful rooms
- The hotel’s interiors are stunning. Best room I’ve ever slept in. Also, the staff were super nice and attentive, and the service impeccable (night of 6/11, lady at the bar also was great). They made my stay truly amazing!
Cons -
- Management was very apathetic about our dissatisfaction with attempt to change our room to their"upgrade". Rates for our room came down a day after our booking- no accommodation made when asked.
- Empty mini bar
- We did not take breakfast in the hotel as it was ridiculously expensive. What a weak point for this otherwise excellent hotel.

We spent three nights at the hotel in two visits, in two different rooms, during the Lucerne music festival. The best two things about this hotel were the superb design and the location. It was designed by the architect of the Lucerne Culture and Congress Centre (concert hall), and each room is an arty delight. It is compact, modern, luxurious and convenient, and the staff were helpful. The location is 5 minutes from the concert hall, the train station, and the major sights and galleries over the mediaeval bridge in the Old Town. The library square, in which the hotel is set, is charming and quiet, with an excellent restaurant, outdoors in the Summer, called Bellini.

We like the location it was very close to the center in front of a large park.
In no case is price related to quality.Unfriendly staff, difficulty in parking, very poor breakfast, lack of healthy food products, low ceiling room with no viewWe have been traveling for 30 years, we only stay in five star hotels, in no way does this represent a five star hotel!!John- Irene
Hotel has an excellent location - 5 minutes away from the railway, bus and lake boat stations in one direction and from the old town in the other. The young staff are charming and helpful. Breakfast was OK.
No bar or restaurant on site (this is not clear on either the Booking.com website or the hotel's own website). The hotel has only one small lift which is shared between staff and guests. The lift down to the breakfast room arrives in the kitchen. The hotel is dark and rather ugly - a very modern design which is a triumph of style over comfort! This is not a 5 star hotel.
Friendly staff, all very capable of speaking English
Expensive for the value received.Dark corridors in black and red, looking more as a red district hotel
Loved the proximity to the train, downtown, and the park with a wonderful playground. The blinds were amazing for the first night after international travel/jetlag. The vibe was eclectic and unique and the staff were incredible. Lovely experience - absolutely recommend.
The location, the staff and the cleanliness
The breakfast was awful, really poorDinner was just ok, Margherita was just drinkable
Location not bad
No aircon, no carpet, poor breakfast spread

The location is extremely convenient to the train station, which is a short block away, and also old town, which is the most popular and picturesque part of Lucerne. The hotel is very sleek and modern and decorated in a hip, edgy style; with murals on the ceilings in the rooms, large , very functional bathrooms with excellent lighting and water pressure and large windows with double glazing to help keep the noise out. The suite was large and spacious, however I have also stayed in a smaller, standard room which I liked just as much. The staff is warm, welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. There is a superb restaurant and quiet evocative bar on location as well.
Reception staff( Alex) was really helpful.
The roof wall paper was annoying to stare at.
Design and location were amazing.
