Hotel Pickwick and Pub "the room with a view"

Walls need sound proofing, can hear snoring in next room. Flag attachment bits need securing,can hear banging in through window all night when windy Need do not disturb hanging sign so house cleaning does not disturb

This hotel is located in such a convenient area. At first glance, the rooms look like they are not very modern, but I have this place a chance and it ended up being my favorite hotel that I stayed at.

The rooms were pretty outdated, but it ended up being the coziest hotel I¿ve stayed at on my trip. The beds were comfortable, and so were the pillows.

Great location overlooking the chapel bridge! Room was clean and spacious, bar downstairs is a lot of fun but can be a bit loud until close. Overall we were so happy with this last minute find!

location is in close proximity to the train station

rooms are small with no A/C. You are provided with a fan.

The location is perfect! The reception assisted by the servers of the 1st floor restaurant was friendly and their kindly introduction of the hotel was very helpful.

There’s nothing to criticize, however, the big flag on the outer wall sometimes block the beautiful view.

The view was amazing, as promised by the hotel title! The staff were a highlight for us - they were extremely helpful and attentive. The room was small, but had everything we needed and was kept very clean. Would for sure recommend this spot if you plan to do day trips by train, as proximity to the station was also excellent.

I had a cute little room with a balcony directly at the covered bridge. Quiet, comfy, clean, couldn't get more central.

Location, near the chapel bridge, shopping, close to train station. Great food at the pub! And drinks too.

Great view in old town, convenient to all amenities and train station. Funky experience checking in at the pub, but staff was exceptional.

The hotel in the central Lucerne location is ideal for solo trip not only in the city but also all over Switzerland. With the Swiss Travel Pass I went to Lauterbrunnen and Kleine Scheidegg past Interlaken, Montreux, Vevey, Lugano. I even managed to go to Lake Como twice as Lucerne is not far from Lugano. Will stay in the same hotel again! Very highly recommend both the hotel, Lucerne and Switzerland ?? ❤️❤️❤️

There is nothing I didn't like. Breakfast was not available but I discovered Aldi in the old town and there are million other opportunities to eat for little or nothing.

The location is excellent! Our room was large and surprisingly quiet as we were directly above the pub. We didn’t have that much interaction with the staff, but they were efficient at check-in and escorted us to our room.

A suggestion to upgrade your bath towels!

Lively place with lovely, welcoming staff. Very kind to provide a free upgrade to a bigger room on arrival.

Unfortunately I was kept awake both early and late. After midnight combination of chatter from the other rooms / bar on ground floor. Agree I should have expected this I suppose. Then the Saturday market was setting up outside my window from 05:30. If you are planning on sightseeing rather than partying then this is probably not going to give you a good night’s sleep for a full day of plans ahead. Perfect if you are there to join the fun in the bar though.

Bartender was the receptionist at the same time. No phone in the room. Cannot contact anyone in case an urgent need. No place to put your luggage etc. The price tag is way too high for what you get.

Excellent Lucerne Old Town location, ten minutes walk, across the river from the main train station. Friendly staff. Small room, but comfortable for a solo traveler.Bonus: room has a small balcony facing Chapel Bridge.

Location was wonderful. Excellent views from the balcony. Short walk to transportation and supermarket. Cleaning lady was wonderful as well.

A little confusing to navigate the stairs / hallway leading to the room but got used to it after a while.
