CLEAN, SPACIOUS UNIT.

WE ARRIVED NIGHTTIME AS WE GOT LOST TRYING TO LOCATE THIS PLACE. THE PLACE IS SO DARK, WE ENDED UP IN THE NEIGHBORS' PROPERTY WHO NICELY DIRECTED US TO THE RIGHT PLACE.

Meggen is an absolutely stunning town outside of Lucerne... simply beautifulVery friendly staffVery good restaurant and bar that stays open later than any other place in town

Friendly staff.

Wonderful welcome in the restaurant which is also the hotel's lobby. Although the room & bathroom were outdated it was clean and well kept. Dinner at their restaurant was very good with good service. Many locals came to eat or pick up take-out pizza. A good breakfast. Upon checkout a nice chat with the owner who I've seen at check-in, dinner and breakfast. A bus stop is close by which brings you to the city center of Luzern.

Nothing negative to say, other than the fact the room is out dated.

Everything was beautiful, very clean, accommodating. Overall wonderful and comfortable stay. The location is so quiet and peaceful !!! Food was delicious !

Clean room and bathroom, size was small but as expected--perfect for a solo traveler who just needs a shower and a bed! Nice courtyard right outside of rooms, not private but quiet, with my own table to sit at. Easy to find, a 15-20 minute bus ride from Lucerne, and the hotel is right across the street from the bus stop. Neighborhood was very pretty and close to the lake; I felt safe walking by myself in the evening. Restaurant was fine; I had dinner there one night but wasn't blown away by food or service.

Rooms are all on ground floor and right around the corner from the restaurant, so just something to keep in mind safety-wise. There is a church clocktower that tolls every 15min; it didn't really bother me, but I know other visitors found it excessive.

It was cozy and quiet. For the price, it was good value for money. The room was neat and the lawn in front was nice.

The reception and greeting was a bit quick and and we were not really informed about checkout time. We assumed the checkout was 12pm and hence decided to go out in the morning. On returning to the hotel, we were 'scolded' by the staff about not checking out at 11AM in a harsh manner. This was a mistake and not done on purpose plus it was not communicated to us in the first place.

Super ! Exactly halfway from Rome to Home,(nl) a surprisingly kind staff, ( girl on the terrace even spoke dutch), super tasty dinner In the garden. Quality-food, fresh-made.Room: not more than what you need. Slept well.Had to leave early next morning. Ira.

Early in the morning, heard the bell from the church nearby...was very hard & several times ?

We really liked the owner of the property. He was most helpful with tour ideas.The food in the restaurant was exceptional.We would stay at this location again.

The only thing we were not ready to experience was, the bells ringing from the bell tower starting at 7:00 am.

Everything! Location is great, easy to find and easy on public transport. Charming authentic hotel with great and clearly very popular restaurant downstairs. Staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable, basic, but we knew that. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent.

The clock tower nearby chiming from 7am to 10pm was irritating in the early morning but not a huge deal

Pleasant staff, nice room. For a budget room, this was really good. Comfortable beds, nice shared outdoor area. Having a bus stop across the road that took you straight into town was convenient. I liked how it was so quiet and peaceful

Would have been great to have a kettle in the room for tea

Location was good. Room was clean, although a bit dim and dated.

Room was very stuffy and having the window open let a load of bugs in.Also, the church bells ring VERY LOUDLY at 7am (at least they did on a Friday when we were there), and it woke us up.

Rooms are good, nice garden.

The clock tower is right next to the hotel and rings every fifteen minutes from 7 a. m. to 10 p.m. You won't be able to relax in this hotel during the day.They don't give free transport ticket. The location would be alright if they would give a free transport ticket.

Everything was as it should be, clean and nice. The garden was also good. The atmosphere nearby was also worth seeing, I would like to be there once more!

Terrible noise from the church. Every 15 min from 7 a.m.They dont have double bed. Onlly twin.

Location wise it was very good, just next to the Meggen Schlössli bus stop, clean room, very nice privacy and security. Very friendly staff. Overall quite a nice stay.

Room size could have been bigger. Beds were not very comfortable. We got two single beds, instead of one double bed.

The location was good with handy shops and cafe nearby. Bus stop just outside to town centre. cleaner was helpful and nice. Nice walk to lake.

Could not be called a hotel, more like backpackers motel. Somewhere ok for one night at a push. Hard beds. No kettle, no fridge little room for luggage. No aircon would be horrid in hot weather, boxy. Bland and dated. TV volume set to barely audible and could not change. Bloody clock tower right next door going off every 15 mins and chiming lots on the hour, very disturbing. Hosts did not ask once how we were, in fact on day 3 we asked for assistance with taxi booking and he asked were we staying there? Only concerned for restaurant attached which was very expensive. Would really like a refund. Am annoyed at booking.com for not replying to my customer service request. Would not recommend to anyone.

Basic clean room with private facilities attached to a popular restaurant. A bus stop for direct services to the main station and town centre (15 mins) is a few yards away. Friendly owner and staff. Good pasta and pizza restaurant, copious dishes.
