Hotel Beau Séjour Lucerne

Beautiful view, clean, and comfortable bedding. Helpful front desk.

The taxi from the hotel to Arth Goldau was more then quoted by the front desk. Train information would have been cheaper and very helpful. It was $200 US

Lake View, Friendly and very helpful staff, good restaurant on premises. Walking distance to old town and close to a bus stop

No coffee in the room. It would have been nice to drink in the morning on the balcony viewing the Lake

the only thing was the shower was small and curtains kept coming off. but only minor detail. everything else was perfect!!!

Location was great, right at a bus stop. Opposite the lake with beautiful views. Staff were great

Our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff (mostly young women) were super friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the breakfast: Cappuccino, artisan cheeses and breads, homemade muesli (granola), and eggs en cocotte. We loved the location next to beautiful Lake Lucerne and enjoyed walking along the lake to the Old Town and train station. Our rooms had a terrace with a lake view which we didn't spend much time on because of the weather.

As an artist, I didn't like the decor. While the old fashioned wallpaper is appropriate for this older building, the addition of contemporary nonobjective paintings and such color combinations as magenta with jungle green - YIKES!

The receptionist was very kind and also the service in the bar.

The cleaning staff started to clean with the vacuum cleaner on Saturday morning, very loud(!!) at ca. 7:15 in the next door room. It was very annoying. They also pushed furniture around very loud.

Staff were excellent, location was good, rooms were clean and comfortable with excellent lake view.

Some renovations ongoing were slightly noisy.

We loved everything about it - from the friendly stays, to the ease of public transport, and the views from the hotel were exceptional!

- Stairs to arrive to the main entrance with luggages. Could be problematic for certain people- Villa Maria (sister Hotel) has frigo bar whereas Beau Sejour not

The outside of the property was lovely, reception and dining room decorated in a lovely old style to match the building

The horrible decoration in the rest of the hotel that I could see, maybe some sort of ‘modern art’ old phones screwed to the wall, our room was painted gold, on the old beams and in the bathroom, terrible. The room was tiny, not even able to get out of each side of the bed. It had a really large air con unit that was not working sat in the very small room. Breakfast was the most meagre of our 18 day trip in Europe The only thing going for this place is the location and the lovely reception staff

Great location, wonderful views, easy walk into Lucerne. Staff very helpful especially over parking issues when we arrived, good breakfast! Room had double aspect so views to the lake and to Lucerne

Room a little basic, would have been good to have a fridge and coffee/ tea available in the room rather than group arrangement one floor down, no safe! Also too warm for the radiator so a stay of 3 nights could have done with fresh towels daily as no means of drying them.

The staff was extremely kind and helpful during our 4-night stay. The hotel has charm and character. It is more like a friendly bed and breakfast where everyone feels welcome. The breakfast was fresh and tasty with many healthy choices of breads, cheese, fruit, cereal, juices, and more.

Perfect location. 20 min walk from central station. Directly across from the lake and park. Spectacular view of lake from our room. The staff was amazing. They serve a wonderful buffet breakfast. They have a small bar for a patio drink overlooking the lake. Pictures are from our room! Complete with Mamou the stuffed animal!

This is not a dislike, but keep in mind this is an older building. For some, that could be a negative but it was super clean and authentic Swiss!!

Decor was great, staff super. Location perfect. Room was quit small for all our luggage but would recommend.
