    Pros +

    • Near the Mekong River and temples.
    • Then staff were unhelpful. We asked for milk for our coffee / tea and we’re told they could not arrange this even though the hotel has a restaurant !!! Their is no outdoor space to walk or sit to relax. The hotel is right beside many n road very noisy.
    • Breakfast good with many choices and good quality food. Good staff and really peaceful outdoor seating.

    Cons -

    • We wanted a room with a view of the Mekong River and with that intention we picked a room with a wrap around porch. The only view we had was of other buildings in the hotel complex. Additionally it took us a day to figure out the hot tub faucet was reversed, the cold water was hot and the hot water cold.
    • There was a maintenance issue that was addressed immediately upon letting them know. They were kind, professional and helpful. They Refered a great restaurant. Manda; picture included.
    • The construction they had in front of the restaurant was a disturbance, but it was away of Hotel’s control

The location, the bed that you can incline for feet or for the headThe balcony of the room, I loved it, ask room 26 The vintage EV for complimentary rides in the town was a plus

This is a lovely hotel with delightful old style rooms and very helpful friendly staff, with a breakfast cafe in an unbelievably wonderful location.

The noise. The hotel is supposed to be in a tranquil location at the end of the peninsula. But sadly, Luang Prabang is over run with Chinese tourists. The dreadful, extremely loud karaoke boats on the Mekong mean that you are tortured by tone deaf warbling wannabe singers all afternoon and evening, and the plethora of minivans means that they keep parking outside the hotel with their engines running, waiting to pick up all these tourists. So it is impossible to relax on the balcony of your room and enjoy the peace and serenity. That has all gone now. It's very sad, and not the hotel's fault (although I think they could do something about the vans parking outside).

The Hotel is perfectly situated by the Mekong River, with a view towards the river from the room. The restaurant sits by the the river, so we enjoyed breakfast and drinks in the evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location is superb; the staff are very friendly.

The property has probably seen better days; the woodwork needs a good overhaul. The room rate was overpriced for what you get; no special activities or even a welcome drink. You would expect a greater choice of food at breakfast.

Great location, balcony had good river view, although there is a road in front of the hotel and there is some sort of construction work on the river bank so not particularly quiet or relaxing The viewpoint cafe, where breakfast is taken, has a nice view

The property is old and in desperate need of updating. The bathroom looks like it hasn’t been touched since the 80s and all the fixtures and fittings are old/worn/showing their age

Best location in Luang Prabang. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff.

We spent 12 glorious days at this hotel and loved every minute. The room was large with a seating area, beautiful dark woods and had a terrace with furniture that overlooked the Mekong River. It was a perfect place for our morning coffee and evening wine. The beds are imported from Sweden and were extremely comfortable. Breakfast is served in the restaurant across the street with a magnificent view of the Mekong. There is a small buffet with fruit, yogurt and breads in addition to a “made to order” menu with eggs, pancakes and noodle and rice options. I utilized the electric cart transport service into town a few times because of some arthritis issues and it was perfect. This allowed me to enjoy visiting the Temples, shops and restaurants. The best part of this property is the staff…always positive, helpful and welcoming.I’d return in a heartbeat!

Beautiful, old quarters-like hotel, shiny dark wooden floors and antique furniture. Very comfortable bed with a remote to choose angles. Balcony with a rattan table and armchairs facing the Mekong promises many magical moments.Everyone was very kind, thoughtful, and caring, doing everything they could to make the stay flawless - didnt even need to ask, they had already done it! Service at its best.

There were mosquitoes in the room one night, the hotel could provide anti mosquito plug-in devices or a mosquito net over the bed. I cannot not like the free minibar given the heat, just suggesting that instead of 4 daily cans of coke and pepsi, it would be nice to have the zero sugar versions and maybe vary with a juice or two..

Everything was brilliant, most of all the location, room decor and staff. We also enjoyed the riverview balcony and the breakfast spot

Although the design and decor of the room is superb, the sheer curtains are not suitable, there should be black out blinds. Also the shower tiling is showing its age. And a sink instead of a urinal in the separate wc would make it 100% perfect ?

location is central yet secluded, amazing views at breakfast

rooms are slightly outdated, quite pricey for what you get

    10ShelleyPosted on: 2-10-2024

Breakfast, location, staff and the room are all perfect. The whole hotel feels like the honeymoon suite. Our balcony overlooked the river and the beds were so comfortable.. Very quiet and peaceful location. We visited in early Feb and there were no bugs. We never even needed spray near the river. Highly recommend

Take your laundry to a local place that is just down the road. In house is $5 USD per kg which is 3-4 times more than anywhere else.

Our room had a great view of the mekong river and we could see the sunset from our balcony. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They helped pick out good drivers for our trip to the Kuang Si waterfall and our sunset viewing cruise on the mekong river. The hotel room itself had a really nice rustic vibe without sacrificing any cleanliness and had a great adjustable bed ?.10/10 would come again.

Great location Close to many F&B spots and bars Walking distance to the morning and night markets…with free bicycles, easy to get around. The complimentary breakfast was very good.

There was a scam link within the booking.com massage function with the hotel.Fortunately I managed to contact the hotel to clarify.

Location. Breakfast deck on the river. Private balconies

A little old, could be upgraded (bathrooms)

    10VickiPosted on: 1-9-2024

The hotel is perfectly placed just beside the mighty Mekong river and in close proximity to the town centre and vibrant night markets.

    7IsabellePosted on: 1-3-2024

Location is great, staff is super helpful and the shuttle service really convenient. Nothing beats the views at breakfast (which is good, too). Overall a good stay.

Everything was fine, but you can tell that the room has seen some better days. It was clean generally, but the bathroom was full of mosquitos. The hotel staff gave us mosquito spray (after which we couldn't enter the bathroom for a while because of the toxins) and there was barely a place to step, because it turned into a mosquito graveyard basically.

    9AyhanPosted on: 12-1-2023

The breakfast was served in Viewpoint Cafe owned by the hotel. Excellent location, delicious food.

No insect repelent in the room. The slippers were not packed so İt didn’t feel clean.
