The excellent location is across the road from the Nam Khan river and walking distance to night market.

The building needs updating and new bedding and towels. The noise from construction on the river bank starts at 7 am and doesn’t stop till dark.

Great location right on the river. Very comfortable room. Bo, the receptionist was so kind and helpful. His brother Bee was also amazing. I recommend this place to anyone, it was awesome!

Excellent location and great value for the price! Just a short walk to the almsgiving ceremony, Mount Phousi, and other key sights. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful so thoughtful and accommodating with our two small children. They even prepared breakfast for us before the usual hours so we could head to the waterfalls early. Truly appreciated their hospitality!

The room had a smell, not unique to many of the places that we have stayed in SE Asia. But honestly for the price, we would choose this place again!

The rooms were very comfortable and the view was fantastic. The think that stood out the most was the service. We were upgraded for no additional cost, and the manager, Bo, provided the best service I have experienced in Luang Prabang. Amazing stay!

Really nice stay. I slept like a baby and I could see everything in Luang Prabang. The room is big, right in front of the river. The breakfast is good. It is a perfect location. Very good price value.

I think bed sheets and towels should be deep cleaned, they are clean but they don't look clean.

I’ve stayed at Golden Lotus Namkan five times already, mainly because of the great location and comfortable, clean rooms. The condition of the rooms is consistently good, and I really appreciate that.However, during my recent 5-night stay, housekeeping only cleaned my room twice—as per my request—but unlike before, no staff asked if I needed cleaning or followed a regular routine. The level of care from the staff also seemed to have dropped compared to my previous visits. For example, I had to personally lock the motorcycle with the door downstairs at night, which didn’t feel as safe or welcoming as before.Despite this, I still recommend Golden Lotus Namkan for anyone visiting Luang Prabang because of its overall value and location. I hope the service can return to the high standard it once had.

Breakfast was excellent and it is located on a quiet backroad at the Namkahn river. It is within a walking distance to the night market and other attractions.

Located by the Namkhan river with the view of the river. Walking distance to centrally located sights of Luang Prabang, including Morning and Night markets. Alms giving ceremony happens only a short walk away too. Friendly staff. Clean and spacious room. Delicious a la carte breakfast, served on the balcony in front of the room. Recommended, would stay at this property again!

The air conditioner leaked all over the floor, and the sewer septic tank was was and it leaked on our bathroom floor

The upper balcony floors were excellent. Location was good. Really quite nice. Great breakfast served on the balcony.

The lower terrace floors where fair and a bit dated ( despite the same price )They belong to a set of hotels that deliberately overbook and then reassign you to another hotel if they don’t have space. I know for a fact they were selling on booking.com when full ( read google reviews ). Construction work is going on the opposite bank, but this affects all hotels on this road.

Perfect location overlooking nam khan river. Very helpful friendly staff. Staff organised scooter for us to get around with helmet. Also they book train/ taxi. Can get laundry done on site. Large comfortable room. Breakfast pancake. Very handy to main town and night market.

This hotel was at very good location, quiet, nice and very clean, our room was very nice with balcony views and it was at the center of Luangprabang. The staff was very helpful, smiling, speaking well English and helping us for every thing during we stayed in this hotel and they also have Motorbike for rental services , it was really convenient and comfortable for us. The Breakfast was really delicious, Clean, nice and Free coffee and small drinking water. We hope to come back to staying at the hotel again in our next time.

The location of the hotel is good. The city center is in walkable distance. The staff was helpful but not always available. There is a water dispenser to refill your bottles.

They never replied to our requests on booking and on whatsapp. The staff was rarely at the reception. The room was not cleaned - that was horrible since we stayed for 7 nights. You can't open the windows and you have no view at all since the shutters can not be opened. You will always wake up at around 6 am since there is a lot of traffic in front of the hotel for the alms giving ceremony. They like to honk too! The breakfast options are basic, especially for vegetarians. We had the choice of having banana pancakes for 7 days! The room is very aged, especially the bathroom.
