Vangsavath Hotel

Loved the pool. Fresh water in a beautiful garden surrounded by palm trees. Easy place to relax after a day exploring. Fast internet. Easy bike ride to town. For those who prefer to be more independent travelers. The hotel owners make you feel like you are in a luxury suite with such attention to detail and a well stocked minibar. Great shower and comfy bed.

We had a super relaxing and lovely time here.The pool was very clean and great.We were able to hire a scooter from the accommodation and there was a free shuttle service from the hotel to Staudt.The host and the team were very nice and fulfilled all our requests.

Nice hotel made of wood that is quiet and with a great swimming pool. Very friendly and helpful staff.

WiFi dropped a few times but no big deal.

The service was excellent. Pinky the manager was attentive and very helpful with everything I needed and enquired about. I highly recommend staying at Vangsavath.

Beautiful hotel and great English speaking staff. Pinki at the hotel could not be more welcoming and helpful. Great restaurants and shops around the hotel and a short drive by Pinki into the night market. She also arranged our visit to the waterfall and gave us great advice on what to see.

Our stay at Vangsavath Hotel was so great. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and comfortable with a lovely deck outside. The hotel is a ten minute drive from the city centre but there is a free shuttle service provided by the hotel and also free bikes available. I would definitely stay here again.

Pinky, the owner makes this place, so helpful and willing to accommodate where possible. There is a free shuttle service into the night markets, which is also a short walk away, half of which is along the Mekong.

There's nothing really not to like. Trips and minibuses can be organised and being owned by a local you're supporting families.

Family owned and operated. Very lovely family. Accomodating to every need. Don't let the location deter you from staying here. The hotel provides transportation, even after official hours. Just let them know and they are more than happy to help.

This is an exceptionally charming hotel with great access to the night market via their free shuttle. I've stayed at hundreds of hotels and I must say that Pinky was the best. She really went above and beyond to arrange for the taxis, activities, booking tickets for the train and even helped us find a fantastic free hospital for kids nearby. We are so thankful for her help and she was the first we contacted!

The manager of the hotel Pinky is incredible.So helpful in so many ways.I got sick and was in bed for a couple of days and she made sure that I’m comfortable and taken cared of.She also helped with the scooters and guided us on what to do around the city.

Wooden interior. Pinky is a nice and helpful person with great level of English. Strong shower current, so women can wash their hair easily. Free shuttle to Night market (we had a car, so we did not use it, but nice to have such option).

Sawmill noises.

This is a pretty decent hotel, situated about 2.5 kms from the night market. To the credit of the staff, they offered me a free ride into town every time they saw me leaving the hotel. The rooms are little a dark but did have a decent hot water shower and reasonable wifi. The staff were helpful.

Not much natural light in the room, but it was still clean and comfortable.

Nice old style colonial hotel. A wee bit out of the way, but they provide a free shuttle service into town, the staff were excellent, they couldn’t do enough for you.Hotel wasn’t new, but kept very clean. Nice and quiet location with little garden to the rear of the hotel.

There was no free breakfast as advertised.

The staff didn’t speak English so it was hard to get help except from one person and sh e got a little snippy at times

Nice and comfortable rooms, with good ac and mosquito net in front of the window. Good shower with good pressure and hot water. The staff was very nice and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed! The hotel is a bit outside of the old part of the town but there is a shuttle service and they drove as whenever we wanted into the city (5min).

Our room went out to a little street and it was sometimes a bit noisy at night.

As before, it has been a great pleasure to stay at Vangsavath hotel , with the outstanding friendliness and help when needed of Khun Pinky & all his staff !

Staff were excellent went above and beyond! very welcoming and helped us book bus to waterfall then sorted our train tickets to van vieng and transfers!

Slightly out of the town but the free shuttle from the hotel makes up for that!

The hospitality is unmatched!!! Everyone was super sweet and helpful. The moment we were greeted, we knew we made the right choice staying here. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. The shuttle service and free bike rental were convenient.

The hotel is in a very pleasant old Colonial building. The staff are very very friendly and helpful. They couldn't have been more so, arranging a wonderful trip to the waterfall (and recommending an excellent restaurant there the "Carpe Diem"). They also organised a fantastic boat trip up the Mekong River for us, with a really good meal on board, for only $30 each. The hotel also has a free shuttle into town and back, in a rather eccentric old rattletrap (which can also pick about 8-10 people up from the Airport, with bags, though not free on that journey).

The breakfast was OK but quite expensive and not brilliant. "Ham"=spam, scrambled egg=chopped up omelette. And much better croissants can be had at the Zürich Bread outlet. But breakfast is not compulsory, and in any case our fellow travellers liked the omelettes a lot.
