The staff! The hotel is comfortable, historical, clean, and a heritage property but the real highlight is the staff — genuinely friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. One of the best experiences I’ve had, and I’d definitely come back!

It’s a heritage property, so my room didn’t have a TV, which was a good thing for me, but may put off other guests.

One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Location was the best, it was right on the the main street of the city.

The water drain was a bit slow, it's understandable because the hotel is a historic building.

Great hotel, great location, warm and polite staff, the room was very clean, I especially like the layout and lighting atmosphere of the room, very warm. Exquisite breakfast, the hospitality and attentiveness of the restaurant waiters Miss Mim and Mr. Fan are very pleasant. I will stay here again next time.

perfect location for the alms of the monks early morning (around 6 am). you can see them from your room.nearby the most beautiful temples (walking distance).with a complementary bicycle a short ride to sofitel for the refreshing swimming pool.good breakfast à la carte, lots of choice

The hotel staff were very nice, and Linda at the reception was brilliant. The reception, breakfast and the bar areas were really nice.

The rooms and bathrooms needs to be refreshed.

Very beautiful and comfortable hotel, room and bed, best location, near temples, cafes, restaurants, etc. The hotel’s restaurant itself is excellent, and the bar on the other side of the street is charming with the sax live music in the evening. But most special of all, and what made my stay memorable, is the staff, the best, always so kind, smiling, thoughtful, attentive. No words will be enough to thank you, girls, Nouy, Ning, Linda, Mim, Pookie …. Please forgive me if I forgot someone… Thanks for making my stay so special !

Everything was perfect.

The staff is outstanding!! The location is central - a little noisy on weekends.

For the price point they should further soundproof the rooms and how about a real shower head not this wobbly detached cheap hotel shower head. It is a lovely historical hotel but just a little extra would bring the value up to what you pay. I own a 160 year old historical hacienda in Mexico and know that these little touches are doable and expected by your guests!

Staff were amazing and helped so much with any and all requests. They were attentive, thoughtful and friendly. Couldn't be happier with their service.

Some costs did seem unreasonably high. For instance, having 3 t-shirts and one pair of shorts laundered cost $19 USD.

Staff was great. Especially Nouiy and Bird were very helpful and friendly.

Lots of old world charm....tasteful set up. The staff were very attentive and courteous, albeit often lost in translation but it is all the more charming. Our 4 day stay had unfortunately been interrupted by a municipal water pipe repair which caused a day of spluttering water and lack of water pressure, as well as a bewildering whistling sound that was quite loud. But the staff attended to the problem very readily and our final day was very restful.

The water pipe issue but it was no fault of the hotel, although perhaps a heads-up would have saved us from a lot of guesswork.

The location is amazing right in main strip but there again Luang Prabang is tiny so everything is very close. The beds are super super comfy, lovely traditional design, beautiful environment. Super friendly staff.

The main thing for me, and maybe its not possible due to the original infrastructure but with a 5* hotel like this i would expect a stand in/walk in shower rather than traditional bath tub with shower over the bath.

Rooms are a little tired. More expensive that what you get - we stayed in another hotel in LP after 3 Nagas, which was less than half the price and exceptional. Breakfasts were also not the best that we had in Luang Prabang.

Getting assistance for booking tours and train tickets was comically difficult.

One of the most enjoyable hotel stays. From the moment arriving until leaving everything the hotel provided was exceptional. Friendly staff, great service, beautiful rooms… and in my opinion the best location possible. A very short walk from cafes, bistros, restaurants and the Mekong sunset views. Shuttle service or private service is provided to The Sofitel sister hotel where you can use the facilities, gym and pool or have a lovely spa treatment. By far one of the best hotel stays experienced. Can’t recommend this place enough, special mention to Bird, Nouy and Linda on the front desk and the very friendly restaurant staff. As a solo traveller the staff have made this trip comfortable and very enjoyable. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

We had a lovely stay! Our room was comfy, clean and we had service every day. The receptionist team was very friendly and professional. The breakfast and service was nice and fast. I would highly recommend this hotel.

STAFF WERE EXCEPTIONAL. THEY WERE COURTEOUS POLITE AND GOES OUT OF THE WAY TO MAKE YOU FEEL WELCOME. SPECIAL MENTION OF MR BIRD WHO WENT OUT OF HIS WAY AND MADE US FEEL AT HOME. THE LOCATION IS SUPERB.
