Sala Prabang Hotel

Lovely location in the balcony overlooking the river was very nice

The room was very dark, and even with all the lights turned on it was still very dark.

Very helpful staff.

I detected smoking smell on the floor I was staying in the hall way. It was a non-smoking area.

Hotel Sala Prabang is located near Mekong River. We appreciated very much taking our breakfast on the terrace overlooking the river.National Museum, night market and Phousi Hill are within walking distance.

The location is great. On the peninsula and can walk to many restaurants and the night market. This was my second time to stay there.

I liked everything. My room was upstairs and very quiet.

Excellent location, by the river and close to the markets and town centre.The TV worked and offered Lao TV, which you didn't get at all the hotels I stayed in.My booking was without breakfast, but I stayed another three nights as part of a tour group and enjoyed the breakfast then. It was very good and nice to sit outside.Room was spacious and clean and I appreciated the free water.Staff were helpful and carried my bags.

Some parts of the hotel are in good location, overlooking the river, other buildings were much less pleasant. Room was clean.

It should be described as a guesthouse rather than a hotel, as it had few facilities eg phones in room, room service etc. The beds were very hard.

Great location right across the Mekong river. Large size room, Quiet. The shower had hot water with great pressure.

The room is a bit dark and could use brighter lights.Wi-fi signals can go down sometimes.Western style breakfast options are limited but that was common in Luang Prabang.

Good location by the river. Booked the separate building which meant a bigger room. Very clean. AC and fan. Good bathroom. Helpful staff.

I didn’t realise the road in the image was one of the main roads in Luang Prabang so pretty noisy even though only 1 way.

Location was excellent but I would give the breakfast a miss, far better and cheaper in town which is only a couple of minutes walk away

The old building

Good location, good sized room with comfortable beds.

Shower was a pain. Pillows enormous, so not comfortable. The staff were not particularly friendly, and cleaning staff annoyed we didn't go out before 10.30am. We thought it was a bit expensive and found better in the area.

It's very good location and comfortable room there. It's not historical interior but very nice. Nice view to the Mekong river hidden in the trees but anyway it's nice.

There was no breakfast at all but there was no breakfast also in any other places so maybe it's ok. For breakfast better to go not to the closest restaurant but the next to it on the left from from the entrance on the river bank. Or any other in the city, just not the opposite one.

The location is perfect as everything is so close and easy to go. The room is cute although we are moved to Chaliny Hotel which I believe they owned by the same owner.

The noise. We could hear the noise from outside and above.

Not relaxing or enjoyable

The hotel is on a busy road with traffic until 11.30pm and starts again at 5.30am. I could not sleep at all because of the noise and had to ask to change my room. The staff changed the room to one further back the following day but I could only sleep in that room with all the windows and shutters closed and ear plugs in . The mattresses were extremely hard and the hotel has definitely seen better days .
