Excellent location by the Riverside. Many attractions and temples in walking distance. Lots of restaurant and river side bars nearby. Night Market is also in walking distance.Peter and his Staff excellent. They arrange for Train Tickets and other pickup drops also.Very comfortable rooms.Highly recommended.

Great location, safe place and the family who run the Hotel very helpfull

Location is excellent, right on the river. Hotel is a bit tired but still okay. Beds are not the best but serviceable, plumbing works okay, good WiFi. Staff were all very helpful and polite. Breakfast was simple but good.

No desk to sit at. Door locks are old and not very secure (flimsy latch on door knob).

Friendly staff, helpful manager.

The service at breakfast was kind of chaotical.The staff didn't speak English and there was almost every day a mix up on who is getting what. In the 14 days we spent there, we had only a few days where everything was as it should be. That was when the manager himself took over. Coffee was never hot.

First I had the room next to the reception that was very loud in the early morning when guests gathered for tours. Then we changed to another, quiet room

The young man in reception is very friendly and always Smiling . He can help with a lot, and he speaks good English.The breakfast is good and so is the room.It is just next to the river, restaurants and 200 meters to mainstreet and shops.I will stay here again, very nice hotel

I arrived early in the morning at the hotel, which reminds me of the colonial style, so the room I booked was not made up.Nevertheless, I was greeted warmly by the manager Peter and served a fruit platter and a juice.The room on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the Mekong was very spacious and perfectly equipped for my needs, including a fridge/minibar and coffee-making facilities.Cleanliness and hygiene are very important here.Peter and his wife were very helpful and always available if we had any questions or requests.The same goes for the staff, even if not all spoke English.The breakfast, which is served on the terrace in front of the hotel, can be selected individually by the guests from the menu and I was very satisfied with the offer.After my experiences in Southeast Asia and Laos, I can rate the Mekong Sunset View Hotel as excellent.The location is very central, the night market and the old town can be reached quickly on foot.In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there are nice restaurants on the Mekong promenade.Highly recommended around the corner is the 'Khaiphaen', a training restaurant for marginalized youth with a small but excellent menu.

Very helpfull owner and staff. They went out of their way to accomodate our wishes. We stayed as a family of 8 with 3 rooms so not easy to accomodate us ;-)

Nothing. Sublime location. Included breakfast was more than what one could wish for (and delicious as well!).

Good location, view on the Mekong, confortable bed and the toilet was separated from shower, nice service, they can help you to book the train to vang vieng or Vientiane which can be complicated by ourselves. Reasonable price with genius account.

The service was really excellent . The saff are really trying to make your saty as confortable as possible . The room was clean and very nice . Amazing hotel .

Rooms were alright

they charged us two times more for a minivan to nong khiauw but we got in a local bus. The same issue with triantickets, we paid 400000 kip each person while the tickets were 172000 kip. Basicly scammed by this hotel. Other hotels around were more helpfull.

Amazing staff. Very professional and always nice. Always willing to help. The installations, very clean. Location, perfect with views from the river.8 options for breakfast. and enjoying the views. I didn’t expect such a nice place, with an exceptional staff.

Booked one twin bedroom got two small beds. 12pm the room still not ready. can't go for a walk before 6am front door closed no staff will be available. very narrow from room to room
