    Pros +

    • Only good thing is the location, close to the city center and train station
    • Very comfy bed and a good size room perfect for what I need the hotel for was in st gallen for the women’s euros very good location on the hotel aswell
    • Good location.lovely tower fan.comfy bed.

    Cons -

    • Almost anything that can be wrong, is wrong at this location:- dirty room and bathroom - old and broken furniture - very old and uncomfortable beds and mattresses - I requested one big bed, and I received 2 small ones next to each other, about 15cm gab between mattress due to bed frames - bathroom door not closing - never seen such dirty and bad towel ever( I put some pictures)- although it was told that the breakfast was available from 7 AM, it was nobody there, so I was not able to eat any breakfast ( let's see if I can get any refound)- I was told I can leave the luggage at the reception, nobody at the reception and also you need the key to enter the hallway. So cannot do that - a lot of noise from outside - these types of properties should be banned
    • My room waa facing the street so noisy at night. Towel too small. No hairdryer in room but you can get one yourself from reception.did not see any staff at all.
    • The first floor climb (84 & 74 yr old), but hostess so helpful!(Minor: the grey fuzzy pillows as secondary pillow)

The location of the hotel is really good as it is in the heart of the old town with plenty of bars and restaurants around. It is a 10-minute walk from the main train station that goes to the airport. There is a lot of noise on the street as a result, but with earplugs and the window closed it isn't a problem for me. There is a 24/7 self-check-in which is great if you arrive late as this can be a problem at many hotels where someone should be at the front desk.

The downside of self-check-in is that there is no reception open during those hours, and in fact, the reception was closed on easter Saturday and Sunday. There was no warning of this, so I kept going downstairs to check if someone would be there or if breakfast would come, but it never did. They didn't leave a note on the desk about this at all. The prices were the same as if they had breakfast as well (I checked other days). I would have booked another place if I had known. Hotels usually don't close reception during holidays, where I have traveled to as those are peak travel times so I would not have guessed. Speaking of leaving information, I also had to check all 4 floors for the shower as they don't leave any info about where that is either.

Amazing staff. My room was available early. Everything is clean. Great location

    6MahirPosted on: 3-24-2025

Staff was friendly and the location was super central.

Bad wifi most of the time, only one shower on the 4tg floor, stuffy rooms and if you open the windows it‘s loud if you are facing the street.

    7BorisPosted on: 3-22-2025

Great value, location, facilities were all there, clean etc.

Sound isolation is non existent, and the entry door has 1cm gap and moves/slams back and forth when someone opens another door on the floor. If you make the mistake that you will arrive late, there are no options to pick up your key at 17:30 despite their check-in being listed as 14:00.Rest is manageable: pillows huge, mattress are the low end spring matreses but OK

Exactly what one hopes from a budget hotel. Corners cut to save costs but super friendly, quiet, and clean.

    6RickPosted on: 2-14-2025

    Good breakfast but appalling WIFI

WIFI and the disco noise on a Sat night next door.

    9WrongxPosted on: 2-7-2025

Staffs are all A+++++ with super warm welcome and very helpful with kindness. Room is better than average two stars, with good breakfast. I will definitely stay here again,

Wifi did not work well or did not work at all.

Greeting and check in was very nice. We were able to check in a little earlier. Bed was comfortable. Very central location to Christmas market, shops and restaurants.

Carrying bags up narrow stairway to check in before lift was available (for bags at least).

    8JudyPosted on: 12-22-2024

The location is fantastic. And staff are very nice

Could be noisy because it is really center.

    6FabricePosted on: 12-9-2024

    Well centered and rather quiet.

The room is old and few things were broken (window shade handle, reading light). Also there is only a unique small light, so it's a dark room during night time.

great location at the heart of St.Gallen. Well connected to everything and in the middle of the historic center.

Uncomfortable room, very small and smelly. Also, the wifi reception was horrendous. EVen after calling their customer support, they said that this is just the way it is. Not helpful at all. Plus, there are no indications of where the shower is and onl after contacting them, did they explain.

Simple and owner is kind. Breakfast is good with lots of fruits ??

    9IngridPosted on: 10-10-2024

The location was perfect. We were close to the main train station, and the old town. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was varied, plentiful and tasty.
