Hotel Weisses Kreuz

Great location, clean rooms and friendly owner. The rooms are above a bar (same owner) but my room was very quiet.

The hotel is on a lovely side street with lots of restaurants and bars, a few minutes walk to the tourist area and is close to the train station

No elevator, but I knew this before I booked there

Lovely location, super close to every you could want to see (this there is some city noise). The staff was so helpful even though I arrived on a Sunday and they offered to carry my bags up the stairs and down.

The walls were quite thin and the person next door was making noise until all hours.

Sink (lavabo) in the room.Room: quietness. Washroom & Shower: clean. Good location, nearby most of all restaurants.Marin, a very cool & friendly bartender, he helped me (a foreigner) a lot with a whole bunch of good info.

May be because I woke up early, (it was around 7:00am when I came down), there was No Coffee at the hotel (& nobody was in the hotel) & even in the neighborhood (McDonald resto opens only at 10:00am). I spent almost an hour walking around & asking diff early birds or taxi drivers to finally found a place (at the train station) to buy just (1) coffee.But I don't blame the hotel, it was unforeseeable, I should have asked Marin (the bartender) on the previous evening, about where to find coffee in the morning.

Location is good. Room is quite big and clean

Its hard to communicate with the staff. we check out early and planning to leave our luggage in the storage room but no one is in the reception. we called and message in whatsapp but nobody reply.

Breakfast was great, typical ‘continental breakfast’, good selection no and generous portions

Good location and friendly staff

Poorly insulated in terms of temperature (it was super cold outside and we could feel it due to the windows which were only single glasing) and noise (could hear a lot of noise from other guests in their rooms but also in the stairs)

The location, and its just near the Christmas market. Very accomodating staff with great warm vibes; I received a travel pass for around the area which was a pleasant surprise, and when I enquired about breakfast I got invited. Appreciate this kind of service (it becomes hospitality) especially when you are far away from home. Thanks!

The staff/owners were super friendly. The rooms clean and beds comfortable. We were also able to park the car at an extra 10 francs behind the hotel. Fantastic location.

Not a great place to stay if you cannot climb stairs.

Practically all rooms are upstairs, no lift, stairs are narrow and declined - so this hotel is not propper for handicapated persons.

Easy to find.

Entrance through a pub, make it difficult to get pass customers. No lift and higher floor has narrow staircase. There is opened laundry area on second floor landing where we can see and smell it. There is no facility to boil water for hot drink and space outside our bedroom to sit.

The staffs were very nice and the check-in check-out process were seamless. I loved how great its location is. The place were rather clean

The stairwells weren't exactly the best as it's quite tiny. The bed cover could be less coarse.

Owners were very friendly and helpful. Friendly place and top location. Rather sad to leave.

Great location. Really comfortable beds in our room. Staff so nice and helpful. Nice small and friendly bar where a few locals made our stay so relaxing.

To be honest I cannot think of 1 single thing. I loved this hotel. It had everything I needed and required.

Centrally located, pretty simple old school hotel with rooms up some quite steep stairs! Shared facilities per floor. The room was fine, everything worked and the window opened properly! Very informative and friendly welcome. Overall a good choice for a night or two in St Gallen if you need central location and don't want anything too fancy.

The stairs to the upper floors were quite narrow and steep, this didn't bother me but it might if you've a lot of luggage and / or are mobility impaired.
