The room was very clean

The mattress was broken and wasn't comfy..

The location was good. There were lots of eateries nearby.

The automated check in procedure was not working well. The staff were totally rude and extremely unhelpful when we called them for checking in. We had to wait for nearly 45 minutes to get the problem solved while we spent all the time talking to the rude staff lady.

The hotel was easy to find , close to walk into the old town, bed was comfy

The hotel is situated on a very busy road above a restaurant and bar. There is no air conditioning, although there was a fan it was very stuffy in the room and way too noisy with open windows. We heard the traffic and people talking outside way past 2 in the morning. Check-in is done without reception,no cleaning of the room, so on day 2 there were no new coffee pods.

Self check-in, entrance was not so clean and inviting, no air-con or some air option and the outdoor area is too loud to sleep with open windows.

Parking for one night cost us almost 50 Francs!!! This made our stay VERY expensive

Air conditioning is a bit old and not possible to regulate, which gives a permanent flow during the night directly on the bed due to the shape of the ceiling under the roof, so we got a bit sick in the morning

Rooms weren't 'large' but the space was adequate. Bathrooms had plenty of space and were clean. Located in Altstadt, which offered many dining options within a few minutes walk.

There was no air-conditioning and it happened to be hot when we were staying (approx. 80-85 degrees Fahrenheit). There was a desk fan in the room, that did offer some relief but it was not very powerful. Because my room happened to be on the side of the building facing the street, so street noise made opening the windows at night less than ideal. According to the person at the front desk, the hotel plans to install air-conditioning later this year (2024), so hopefully that resolves all of these issues.

The very helpful staff made our stay truly great. Otherwise the hotel is nice, clean and very central. Would stay again!

Parking was a bit challenging with bigger (tall) car, but we managed.

The hotel looks very unassuming from the outside but our room pleasantly surprised me. It was modern, new, clean and spacious.

This hotel does not offer any parking. They have not made a deal yet with the underground parking across the road as a lot of other hotels have...

The size of the room and staff along with the location

The room was overlooking the street.

Center of town near train station, walking distance to nice shops, in the old center or Winterhur, plenty of choices of places to eat, no need to pay for the hotel breakfast, a few great morning cafes a short distance away. Great German style sandwich shop one street down, crowds of people there, coffee/tea provided in room, darkening blinds for sleep, although some areas broken and not closing well, large room. Free bottles of water. Mini fridge.

Parking expensive (48ch for 24 hours) and no discount from hotel, entrance was really unwelcoming for a hotel with the word "Plaza" in the title, not on the main street but in a dark alley street around the corner, it looked more like a student hostel entrance -with people sitting and smoking right outside the doorway in chairs, lounging on the pavement at night and in morning upon departure at 9am which is not early, no one at front desk yet. Very Small entry way, in the lobby, there was a glass window and box between you and the host checking you in for security? It felt like a prison check in. The lobby was dim, dark and uninviting in every way. It would bother most guests I think.The mattresses were thin and uncomfortable. The garbage had not been emptied in the bathroom. The blinds were broken in places and let quite a bit of light in. Very noisy street outside and not aircon so you have to deal with the cars and partying.

It’s central and the bed was comfortable.

It has no AC - terribly stuffy room and the fans they provided were extremely dusty and dirty. Plus, even though the bathroom facilities are modernised, it was not very clean. We found various hairs on the floor and the bed sheets were not the newest either with quite a few stains on them. We would not recommend to stay at this hotel. Felt very tacky, a bit like a love hotel… plus, it’s located on the main room and very noisy once the windows are open.
