    Cons -

    • There isn’t much to do if you are not a club member. And the other restaurants close at 7:30pm and mostly the things in the menu aren’t available. During night there is nothing to do
    • From our room I heard a very strong noise of the heater or generator next to our window ?
    • Needs update on TV and other fixtures.

The staff were very welcoming. The room was clean. We could ask for a pitcher of water and bath/beach towels. There were shuttles from the hotel to the beach and back forth. The dinner we had were all delicious. We ordered all meat pizza, kebab, and grilled chicken. The staff gave our son some coloring materials while waiting for our food to be served. My son who's a picky eater enjoyed his food. The buffet breakfast offered a variety of options, so it's okay even if you choose to stay a couple of days. We were able to enjoy swimming in the pool after breakfast.

Nothing in particular. But, it would have been nicer to have bathrobes.

    - The quality of the Italian in-room dining was fantastic.- The room was very clean.- The air conditioning is very powerful (estimated at 2.5HP).- The view of the green mountains is beautiful.- There is a walking path around the lake with a well-maintained garden featuring a mix of acacia trees, palm trees, and elephant ear plants—walking around takes over an hour.- Excellent breakfast, with the option to sit indoors or outdoors surrounded by nature.- The beach has dark sand but no rocks, so water shoes are not needed. It slopes gently, making it suitable for our 1-year-old.- Beach chairs are free to use.

    - Shuttle transport to and from the city is expensive (3000 PHP).- Rooms with a lake view do not actually overlook the lake due to tall acacia trees, though the mountain view is still nice.- Guests are required to wear a wristband all day.- The air conditioning makes the floor damp.- The beach is a bit far to walk, though a shuttle runs all day.- Part of the beach and swimming pool is for members only—not accessible to hotel guests.- The kids’ playroom is not free—300 PHP for 2 hours.

Love the location, amenities, and the staff

The Filipino and Chinese food here is bad, this is not good considering we are in the Philippines. We have learned to never order Filipino or Chinese food at this hotel, the irony is that we only order the Italian dishes. The cooks for Filipino food needs to be either replaced or retrained! How can we showcase Filipino dishes to foreigners when the Filipino food in the hotel is worse than the Italian food?An example of bad food: the adobo is so sweet it is no longer adobo — it’s paksiw. The beef tapa is so sweet it’s almost like candy. The chicken we ordered came to us not fully cooked, it still had blood. The sinigang was terrible, the meat was hard. The crispy pata was hard. The steamed fish was not fresh, I don’t think they know how to cook it at all, whatever recipe they used was terrible. The pancit was inedible. Majority of the customers will be from Luzon or foreigners, and people from Luzon and foreigners do not like food to be that sweet. It’s understandable if the hotel was located in Iloilo, and Illonggo food is sweet, but it is not.

Private beach, most staff are attentive. The lagoon view is relaxing. You can opt to walk to go to the beach (8-10mins) or you can avail of their shuttle.

Overpriced food. They charge like a 5 star hotel which the service and hotel is clearly not. No other restaurant options or grocery store nearby. The rooms needs deep cleaning specially the CR. There are even cobwebs. First time I had issues with free breakfast. Every morning, I have to explain which is embarassing and annoying at the same time.

The room was a good size, breakfast was great with lots of options. Loved the vicinity of the beach and also a lake which you could walk around freely.

    10RockPosted on: 1-1-2025

Expansive grounds, very peaceful, private beach and lakes and activities building.

Property is beautiful and buffet breakfast was superb.

Slow service when it came to food and drinks. Staff needs more training from the staff at the restaurants and security guards. What saved from getting a bad review was the excellent service from Suzy at the front desk.

    9GeeernnnaahhhhPosted on: 11-24-2024

The landscaping was excellent, food was great and ample, shuttle service was very good, swimming pools were large and very clean and staff was super friendly.

A lot of crowd! Beach was very crowded with residents and day trippers.

    6KathleenPosted on: 7-28-2024

    Lots of activities.

Staff gave us inconsistent information that caused confusion- in Lagoa, front desk, bowling alley.

    5NancyPosted on: 6-30-2024

    Breakfast buffet, staff, location

Noisy group of clientele who wouldn't keep the noise level down despite the security/staff efforts. We didn't have restful nights.

    7AnaPosted on: 6-28-2024

Pleased with the location. Breakfast menu is always delicious and authentic Filipino flavor. We love the Pumpkin and Shrimp Risotto. Staff is is friendly and respectful! Shuttle service is easy and accessible.

I booked through Booking.com and it indicates that the room I chose is good for 4 people max. When I arrived at Pico Sands, I was told that the room is only good for 2 adults. I intended to put 4 teenagers in the room so I had to pay extra for 2 individuals! I was surprised to find out that this hotel charge per person and not according to occupancy. It's really MISLEADING!!! Also, you have to pay extra for using their recreational facilities such as basketball court, billiards and bowling. I wasn't also impressed with the food choices for lunch/dinner. You have to have EXTRA, EXTRA money to enjoy this place.

    4DumitrascuPosted on: 6-26-2024

Mountains around, room is quite clean.

    1. Reception staff who are trying to push to pay for upgrade room because room is not ready, then said is ready but AC doesn't working.2. The noise ls of generators all around the area, not permanent but when are on, there are very loud.3. Tables and chairs on the restaurant terrace very dirty, full of trace food.4. No worth to pay extra for room with view to the lake because on the upper level you will see only the forest, the lake you can't see because of the tree, 1 or 2 level you can see the terrace and little bit from lake, so not amazing.5. There is no bottle with water in the room. It is a dispenser in the hall. You can fill it from there. Even in less stars hotel I found 2 small bottles with water.6. With around 3 hours before check out, they placed a notification in the room under door, a notification to inform me that check out is at 11 o'clock and for every hour after 11 we will pay 2000 pessos/hour. It is the first time when I receive this kind of notification.
