    Pros +

    • Location
    • Perfect location: short walk from the main train station, passenger ferry port, and the city center. Far enough from main roads to be quiet and peaceful. Very friendly and helpful staff. Everything appeared clean and well maintained.
    • Location was good

    Cons -

    • I was a bit disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The attitude of the reception staff, especially the person at check-in, was not very welcoming or professional. The room didn’t meet my expectations in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The breakfast also lacked variety and quality. Overall, I think there’s room for improvement in both service and amenities.
    • Rooms are very small, not recommended for those that feel easily claustrophobic. Lack of air conditioning can also make the rooms uncomfortable on hot summer days. Konstanz is an expensive town, so while the pricing may be market rate, it doesn’t feel like a great value compared to what you’ll get in other parts of Germany.
    • The WiFi is terrible! I depend on a WiFi connection to check in for my flight from Zurich. It is a huge inconvenience and source of stress if it’s bad. Breakfast is not served until 7:45AM, so if one has a flight or meeting in the morning, it’s far too late. No staff was seen while I was there. Won’t stay there again.

    price/value relationship

It was a little noisy in the evening and during the night. I was not able to connect to wifi as I could not find the procedures (password) in the room. Staff was not present anymore to ask.

    6PatrickPosted on: 9-27-2024

The location was central; I did not have breakfast at the hotel.

The reception was mostly not staffed. The room did not have adequate space for luggage and effects.

    Location

Arriving there, you have to pay additional costs, room is extremely small and breakfast was disappointing for price

Very convenient location close to restaurants and historic district. Very nice coffee and pastry shop right around the corner, and for Americans, good coffee is super important. Nice spot inside and covered for our bikes. Our host was very and helpful. Highly recommend

The room was ok, the location very good.

Although I was looking for a room including breakfast and free parking, nothing of these was provided (if it was my mistake at Booking.com, then I apologize, but I was on a 40 day trip around Europe doing the same thing every night!). I was sent to a garage parking on the promise that if I left earlier than 9:00 it would be free. But I went to Konstanz to see ... Konstanz, not the hotel room, so I paid "normally" a 24€ parking. Plus another 15€ breakfast. Dear Herr, you just provide a regular room which is not something special but you charge more than what it deserves. Sorry sir, but you have a high idea of your rooms.

Great place in the city center. Very clean and comfortable bed and bathroom. There is a safe park place in the backyard for bicycles. It was really convenient. The personal was very friendly and helpful.

Since it is in the city center could be quite noisy at night.

No AC but can provided did the job during this hot weather

The hotel was in a nice and quiet place not far from the town center and the lake side. The room was smallish but clean and comfortable. It had a small balcony overlooking a peaceful courtyard. The bathroom was tiny but spotless, and it had all the basics. The wifi worked perfectly. My check-in was contactless via an automated counter in front of the hotel. I didn't meet any staff which was very good as I like my privacy. The reception was usually unoccupied, and I only met the staff when I was leaving and submitting the room key. A nice place for a short weekend stay.

The room and bathroom could have been bigger. The room could have had a kettle and/or coffee maker.

    The location was quite central.

The hotel is above a restaurant and the smell of food reached to the second floor, specially the smell of meat. Since it is above the restaurant, when you open the windows, it is also very noisy and the smell of food comes even more.

    The WiFi worked very poorly

A wonderful and delikate breakfast. My rom was basic but very comfortable. Friendly staff.

Central location and possibility of self check in/out

No one from hotel was there

    10ShivaPosted on: 3-5-2024

10 out of 10! Great location, less than a minute to a wonderful bakery with fascinating breakfast, less than 2 minutes to various supermarkets, less than 5 minutes to the old town, less than 10 minutes to the lake, calm area, cozy room, good service. Just don’t count on the drawer especially if you have long hair.

    9CapestormPosted on: 2-12-2024

The hotel is nice and central, close to public transport, shops and interesting sights. The staff were very helpful and professional. My room was quiet and the bed was just right.

It’s quite and the Manager is friendly. He guide us for the self-check in since it is automated already. He has a lot of tips where to go especially shopping details and what to expect on it.

    9SandraPosted on: 1-13-2024

Breakfast was excellent. A large personal platter of meats, cheeses, veggies, a basket of various types of rolls butter and jams. Hard boiled eggs and yogurt were also available.Super clean rooms.Location is in on the edge of the beautilful old town of painted buildings from the 1300's on a quiet side street. It is above a Turkish restaurant so easy access to dinner if needed. Just a few minutes walk from tthe train station, a shopping mall, the small city center with shops and restaurants, the lake.

No elevator so not good for folks who cannot walk 1 fight of stairs, but manager will carry your bags up the to the hotel level so that is not an issue. Hallway conversations can be heard in the room but as hotel is small, it was rare that guests were loud.

    8NyreePosted on: 11-20-2023

Location was great: near train station, near supermarkets, near border

Wifi was non-existent in our room (room number 5).There's an Irish pub around the corner and on the weekends people will be making noise in the street. If you prefer to sleep with a window open, it may disturb your sleep.
