    Pros +

    • The staff were nice and friendly. And the breakfast space and food was great.
    • The breakfast
    • I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anybody who wants to explore the region and the lake, from the hotel you can reach all the boats and catamarans that take you to all the beautiful villages around the lake. We came at Christmas time and it was just the most magical time to visit these beautiful villages. Hotel beds were really comfortable the towels were great and changed daily if needed our room was huge so it was perfect for three travelers and the pillows were soft and there was no noise outside it was perfect. Next year if I decide to bring my family here I will definitely book with this hotel thank you so much and for the great and funny people at reception they made our day. Cheers!

    Cons -

    • Out bed was really bad. It sagged in the middle and sloped to the side. Also we were very disappointed that the there was not an overhead light in the room, making it very dark with just the little night table.
    • The bathroom was small, with no windows and no fan. It was also separated from the room by a transparent glass wall which offered no privacy or smell protection at all. The room was also quite small. We tried to get it changed to one with a working bathroom fan but they told us there were no more rooms available (even tho we checked and there were at least four). The room was also in another building close-by.
    • Nothing! Amazing time!

Close to the lake and food

They moved us to the property out back instead of the lake view

The location and the breakfast were very good.

There's a Bodensee Ticket that you can use to travel for free around the Bodensee area, usually this ticket is offered by the hotel. In our case the ticket was not offered but when we asked they gave it to us which seemed weird. Everything was sorted out just fine at the end.

The hotel is centrally located, it was easy to locate and the staff was friendly

I stayed in the building that is behind the hotel reception. The room was not as shown in the photos, the room was not that bright, the bathroom was very small and the heating in one of the areas was not working. When I asked to move to another room, the receptionist told me that the hotel is fully booked and that there were no other rooms available and that I could try to ask his colleague the next day. Maybe next time you update the photos and the description of what you really offer

Perfect location in the very heart of the city center literally 200m from Zeppelin museum and the harbour.

Small room, where everything has seen better times. Very dark as there is no central lighting in the room. The reception is NOT 24/7 and closes quite early: the hotel forgot to send me a welcome email, which describes the self check-in procedure, so on arrival I had to stay outside for half an hour, trying to get through to someone, whose number was provided on the hotel’s door to get the code from the key vending machine (No one was picking up the phone!). After I finally managed to get through, the person on the other side of the phone was quite rude, gave me the code number and hanged down the phone immediately. Also I was not informed about eligibility for BodenSee card, which was supposed to be issued automatically to the guests of the eligible hotels (this one included). The breakfast was not bad, but the selection was quite poor.

Very central, ok for one night.

We had two single rooms on 3rd floor. Very basic and reasonably clean. Some dust on the surfaces and cobwebs in ceiling corners. But in both rooms the TVS weren’t working at all. Sockets in the bathroom were dangerous! I didn’t dare to use them. And other electrical installations also critical. I hope this was not repaired as it was late season. There was no housekeeper reachable.

Very good location close to the ferry to/from Switzerland and central Friedrichshafen. I was placed in the annex across the streat, but that was not a major inconvenience. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of cold and warm items.

The room was smalish but adequate for a single traveller. I got a room with a double bed, and it would have been a bit cramped had we been two persons.

    The location

After the second night, we requested the housekeeper to provide tissues , water and change the blankets but she refused and complained to the receptionist allegations that we ordered her. The receptionist ask us not to request anything from the housekeeper, otherwise he will call the police if we ask her again. Despite our stay was four nights, the room was cleaned one time. Blankets and towels were not changed and no tissues was provided .

The location is very good, near of many restaurant options and touristic attractions.

Unfortunately the room has slight cigarette smell. As we stayed only two nights and we was there only for sleep we didn´t asked to move to another room.

Having a bathtub and separate beds. This was for my wife and a friend of hers. Having a bathtub (not just a shower) is a big deal to my wife.

The lack of a lift. My wife is in her sixties. Climbing stairs is increasingly difficult for her.

Location was close to waterfront in old townRoom was huge. We were able to extend our stay. Breakfast was excellent

No air con so high summer would be very hot in the room

Great place in the city centre. The breakfast buffet was good with diverse choices.

The room in general was small. The bed and bathroom were small as well and not really comfortable. The tv was not working.

    8TimPosted on: 8-24-2024

The hotel location was close to the water front in the heart of the old town. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly. The room 378 was in the annex building behind the main block and was a huge corner room. The room was clean , the bed was comfortable. The hotel doesn’t have AC but a fan was provided and using the external shade keeps the temperature down.

Some mornings had lots of street noise from rubbish trucks and setting up the market. The shower over the bath was a bit old and the water temperature varied quite a bit.

The location was excellent.Centrally placed for ease of sight seeing, eating out and transport links (Bus and train)A large spacious room with plenty of storage and a huge bathroom,The central location gave quick access to the Zeppelin museum (The reason for our visit)

There is nothing I can think of here.

The small hotel is located one street from the lake in a PEDESTRIAN ZONE, so even getting to the hotel is a traffic violation, regardless of the fact that it is difficult for GPS to find it in the small streets and you have to drive there among pedestrians. You immediately pay a fee to the city and 15 EUR for parking in public garages. You have to quickly unload your things from the car and drive away. My room was dark because the window faced the building next door. There is no air conditioning. The space where the fridge originally was located is empty. From the above, I personally conclude that the proximity of the hotel to the lake is not an advantage. Never more.
