The Originals City, Hôtel Artyster, Le Mans Centre

The hotel is located 50 meters from public parking and the main square, which was great. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The decor is funky but fun. Overall we liked our stay and recommend it.

We had a "big night" and late dinner, so we weren't interested in breakfast, but did need some coffee. It would have been nice to have a kettle and instant coffee in our room. But it's a minor inconvenience, not a negative for our stay.

No elevator

Great location and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was near the center and old town so plenty to walk around to eat and view the sights.

It was hard to find. If you were driving in, you cannot drive in front of the hotel. Thankfully the hotel guided us to a nearby parking area which is only a few minutes walk from hotel.Also room was sparsely furnished although large for our party of 3. It needed proper side tables, a luggage stand, and maybe another table in the main room. Toilet and shower were in different rooms but had only 1 trash can so we kept going back and forth. Minor stuff, but some improvement would vastly improve comfort.

The room didn’t look like the pictures and you could hear everything from rooms next door.

Location was good. Rooms clean and comfortable.

Initially, the evening staff on Reception were willing to accommodate my breakfast request for eggs without milk for my husband who has a dairy allergy. However the morning staff said there was no possibility of dairy free options and explained there was yogurt, bread and cheese obviously not understanding the impoof an allergy. I explained again that we had been assured the chef could make plain eggs and I said if it really wasn't possible then we would like to be reimbursed as €14 for coffee and some bread is too expensive. After much discussion (all in French) she agreed to see what she could do. They eventually made him a plain omelet which was tasty.

The Artyster's interior design was incredible. We loved how lighthearted the theme was. Our room was very comfortable with a large bathroom and shower. Perfect for two people. The location was ideal, with the Pl de la Republique, shops and restaurants a short walk away. Perfect location for walking to and viewing Las Nuit des Chimeres as well.

Breakfast ok rather than good - not an extensive choice. Shower head leaked badly from the handle so reducing the pressure from the shower head.

Centrally located, the beautiful old town can easily be visited on foot. At very close proximity, the 15th century cathedral is "on fire" thanks to the amazing light show on it every summer evening from 5 July to 14 September. We so enjoyed it !Also, there is an underground parking very near the hotel which is very cheap.

Nothing to report here, we stayed only one night, we did not have breakfast at the hotel and in the evening we went out for dinner.

The best thing was Tom. He was really friendly and coped with the booking, changing rooms etc. But best of all he set up the big screen so that we could watch the football match and that made my day.

Unfortunately the beds are really small and not comfortable.

We didn't have breakfast as we were so close to town we could choose it's the perfect location at an affordable price

I did ask for ground floor but unfortunately we had to climb 2 flights with our luggage as there was no lift !

Breakfast was very basic but the pastries were fresh; the coffee was not hot and not very nice. The room met our needs as travellers and we had a good night's rest.

Breakfast could have been better, access to the lift still required that we use some stairs which was unhelpful. The car parking was 100m from the hotel, rather inconvenient. I would have liked better insytructions on getting to the car park and then the hotel.

Hotel is located on a bus but no car road so it was necessary to park the car on a meter away from the hotel and walk to hotel to obtain a day pass 10 euro for the very local excellent modern underground car park 100m from the hotel and trail bags to and from.Breakfast items were very good apart from cold coffee and limited supply of plates and cutlery . No obvious reason why, it was as if they were just learning how!?.Shame because everything else was so good.

It advertised that it had laundry services, but when I asked about them I was told they didn’t offer that.

The location is ideal for those who want a city centre break. Our advice is to pick the city centre public car park. Rooms are clean and basic.

Great location, lovely room and very friendly staff. The dinner was delicious and the breakfast was also very good.

For whoever can’t walk or has difficulty lifting heavy bag: be aware that there are a few steps you can’t avoid by using the elevator (maybe 7 or 8 in total to get to the elevator from the reception).

Access to the hotel by car is difficult and confusing. Road leading upto the hotel shows a 'no entry' sign only allowing buses and solid white line suggesting to drive around. Finding parking in the area is quite difficult.
