Hotel De La Pommeraie

The room was decent size by French standards. Nice and quiet in a country setting but close to town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

Very limited menu and a little far away from downtown and restaurants

The garden is delightful and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was an extra charge but had delicious croissants and a good choice of sweet and savoury food. The beds were comfortable.

The bedroom had a separate toilet which was extremely cramped and difficult to close the door when using. The inner door handle didn't work so if you closed the door you would have been locked inside. The facilities are looking a bit dated.

Brief stopover on our way back to Calais. Stayed with our dog. Lovely setting and very convenient for coming off the motorway. Just to be aware if travelling with pets, the hotel restaurant was closed to recommend a restaurant which was about 15 min walk. Unfortunately the restaurant didn’t allow dogs to ordered a takeaway instead. Would definitely stay agin

The gardens were very nice although the weather did not allow us to take advantage of them. The staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful.

We travel with 2 dogs and understand the room quality usually offered is not the same as pet free. The room was quite large but needed an update. The room obviously doubled as a pet friendly room but could also be used for people with disabilities as the bathroom was a wet room and not a standard bathroom.

The bathroom fan couldn’t be turned off.

The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the overall decoration in the room and the hotel is lovely. The evening meal and breakfast was good value for money and tasty.

The toilet is very noisy when flushed and I could hear one presumably in another room when it was being flushed. Only a slight irritant but didn't really bother me.

It ticked all the boxes plus its in a quiet location with nature around it. They also had a charging point for my electric car

This is a clean, friendly and accessible hotel, with adequate parking, in Le Mans. It compares very well with other hotels in which I have stayed in the area.

For the first time I was allocated Room 15, which is downstairs in the hotel. Unfortunately, I could hear the toilet in the room above mine being flushed every time it was used, a loud whooshing noise. In addition the room is adjacent to the sitting room located downstairs and the noise emanating from the room late in the evening was intrusive. However, these were minor inconveniences when one considers the benefits of staying in such a nice hotel.

Lovely Hotel; a great location in a nice quiet residential part of town. It's less than a 10 minute drive to the centre of Le Mans and there is loads of cheap parking around all the activities in the city centre. Friendly staff throughout; they were both welcoming and helpful with tips for restaurants in the Old Town etc. Room itself was very nice, toilet was a bit small (separate from the bathroom/shower), but everything was clean and well looked after. Nice views across the gardens. There is a great Salon on the Lower Ground floor with a really splendid artificial fire, which was a genuine winner for my partner (along with a nice cup of tea) after a long day in town with a touch of rain on the air! Good onsite parking, easy access to the motorways on departure

As above, the separate toilet was very small and individual bedside lights might be nice rather than just a single light over the bed, but otherwise, all good.

Check in staff was friendly. Room was clean, quiet and the bed was quite comfortable.

Room did not have any utensils, crockery or a mini fridge. Members of my family has a severe gluten allergy so we had planned to bring our own food to have breakfast in our rooms instead of the buffet downstairs. When I asked for some plates, bowls and spoons from the staff at the desk, she was annoyed and told me that they generally don't allow this. I found it rather odd since the hotel also provides room service. Why would asking for crockery and utensils be an imposition against the hotel policy?

Family room was tiny with two double beds taking up all the space. Not much room for bags and a tiny wardrobe with a few hangers.

Lovely staff, nice breakfast, overall nice hotel and a walkable distance to town.

Our room was in the basement and the bathroom was dirty.

Everything was lovely. Good breakfast choice, lovely grounds to exercise the dog, good parking. Restaurants nearby

The staff were lovely and very helpful . Parking was easy and free so that was a plus.

The room and bed was very small for a couple and location was on the outskirts of the town, we needed to get a taxi to the centre for dinner. The cost was almost €20 each way
