Mövenpick Hotel du Lac Tunis

Staff were excellent. Rooms large, well catered and spotless. Food was great - the burger from the bar menu was extraordinary. Enjoyed watching AFCON on the big screen on the terrace.

The hotel is not able to sell alcohol due to its location.

I have been given the wrong room and no single word about it, just that the previous guests decided to extend their stay in the room. When I got the right room after 2 days, it was not clean and the smell was horrible. One of the beds was old. The mattress was changed but the issus was the frame. In the next days I have realized that the cleaning service was bad and not matching with the hotel standards.

Located at a very prime location. Near airport and the views are stunning. The food is one of the best in the world. Especially their dinner buffet. Excellent variety and excellent taste. The front desk team is very professional and experienced. The housekeeping team is very friendly and extremely professional. The banquet team is wonderful. Overall a property to be enjoyed and will definitely return.

I had an outstanding stay at Mövenpick Hotel and would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the entire team, especially Faisal, Hossam, Aziz, and Ahmed, for their professionalism and care. From the beginning, the hospitality was warm and genuine, with staff always attentive and ready to assist. The driver arrangements were perfectly organized, making all my transfers smooth and stress-free. My room was spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean, with housekeeping maintaining everything to the highest standards each day. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast, which offered a wide variety of delicious options to suit every taste, making mornings truly enjoyable. I also loved spending time at the café and the terrace, both of which provided a relaxing atmosphere with excellent service. In addition, the staff were very helpful in guiding me about tourist sites in Tunisia, offering useful recommendations that enriched my trip and made exploring the city easier and more enjoyable. Overall, every detail of my experience — from the warm welcome to the thoughtful services — exceeded expectations and made my stay both comfortable and memorable. I truly thank the team for their efforts and look forward to returning to Mövenpick Hotel on my next visit.

I had a very pleasant stay at Mövenpick Lac. The hotel is comfortable and well managed, but what truly stood out was the service. Maryam at the reception was exceptional—friendly, and always ready to help. Coming back for sure

I recently stayed at this hotel. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or needs.

What I didn't like about our stay was that, although it appeared luxurious in the photos, it was quite expensive without delivering that experience. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable, and the fridge in our room wasn't working properly, leaving us without fresh cold water. My husband and I wanted to relax and booked a massage at the spa, but it was disappointing; we barely felt the therapists' hands and it was not professional at all. We couldn't relax or enjoy it. Our last massage experience was last summer in the Maldives, which was wonderful in comparison. The breakfast was just okay. Not much variety

The breakfast selection was excellent, offering a variety of fresh and delicious options to suit all tastes. The staff was attentive and ensured everything was constantly replenished.Equally commendable was the room's cleanliness. It was spotless upon arrival and maintained to a high standard throughout the stay.Overall, the attention to detail and quality of service made my stay especially enjoyable. I would gladly return and highly recommend this hotel to others.

the only downside was the internet connection, which was inconsistent and quite slow at times. This was a bit of a challenge, especially for work-related needs

The hotel is amazing. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The place is spotless and the building looks fantastic both inside and out. We were staying the night after our wedding just before travelling. The hotel is close to the airport and thus perfect for us. When the hotel knew we were staying there after getting married they upgraded and decorated our room. This was a lovely gesture and I can't thank them enough. I said to my wife this morning that I'd definitely bring her back for date nights or any reason really to stay again.

Bad

A big hotel with nothing. No service, bad breakfast, no one to explain anything to you or take your bags, bad vibe in generel.

The location near the airport was calm, and the staff on my first day was nice and professional.

The staff on my second day was unprofessional and rude. There was no outdoor pool or activities, and the hotel needs renovation. For a 5-star hotel, it was disappointing.

Hotel is a good.

Last time I visited with my Fiancee. I ordered two rooms because you cannot stay together under Tunisian law which I respect. Security then kept asking my fiancee if she should be there and making her very uncomfortable resulting In driving her to her mothers house and I stayed at the hotel paying for two rooms. I wrote about this in the review over a month ago and received a call from Movenpick and the apologised and promised it would never happen again.Low and behold. We stopped for one night now married they photo copied our marriage certificate and everything was nice. As expected by such a professional hain of hotels. We went out for the evening and on our return the exact same security guy came up to my now wife and asked her why she was here , was she sleeping in the same room and so on. I of course got angry with this man and walked away and he kept asking my wife questions that were none of his business. After a while I went to see the manager and reported this incident. I was told sorry but this security guy has no experience. Excuse me but over a month before he did exactly the same thing. I think it should be movenpicks duty to train their staff. We will never use this hotel again when travelling. If I had the same incident occur again I would probably end up staying the night with the police. I suppose the service with the police would be good. As they are trained properly. Movenpick you suck.

Faculty is very nice. Food in the restaurant is high quality and delicious. The hotel is gorgeous.

1. You should allow burkinis in the swimming pool. I was very disappointed my wife couldn't swim with the kids because of this. This can be discrimmination.2. When I was swimming I found some tiles missing randomly in the pool.3. The latch on our sliding door in the hotel room kept breaking. The staff fixed it right away, but it kept breaking.

Despite the issues we faced, these aspects provided some comfort and relief during our stay.Overall, while there were some redeeming qualities, the numerous inconveniences and lack of communication regarding amenities and maintenance made our stay less enjoyable.We hope the management addresses these issues to better align with the high standards expected from the Movenpick family.

Where we spent a week with our family in two communicating rooms, was unfortunately not up to the standards we expected from the Movenpick brand. As a family visiting Tunis for a wedding, we opted for what we believed would be a premier experience, but several aspects of our stay left us disappointed and frustrated.To start, we were dismayed to find that the hotel's only swimming pool was closed for planned maintenance for five out of the seven days we were there. This was particularly disappointing as we had not received any prior notice from the hotel, which would have allowed us to adjust our expectations or plans accordingly.Additionally, both in-room fridges were not functioning properly. Despite maintenance staff visiting twice, the issue remained unresolved, leaving us without a practical solution until our room change later in the week.On day four, we were abruptly awakened at 7 AM by heavy maintenance work. While the hotel did offer to move us to another room the following day, the inconvenience of relocating with a big family midway through our stay was frustrating.The gym facilities were lacking, offering only a limited selection of dumbbells, with no bars or cable machines, and only ambient temperature water available.During the first two days, we were also informed that there were no towels available at the swimming pool and were instructed to bring our room towels. This led to the inconvenience of requesting additional towels from reception after our pool visits. The same issue arose at the gym, where no towels were provided.The breakfast offerings were repetitive, with the same selection each day, which did not meet the culinary standards we associate with Movenpick.

The room has nothing special compared to the price. The kettle was broken and not clean, and when I asked for replacement, I was given another broken one

The Hotel is located in a calm area, the staff are very professional and receives you with a smile.

The Le Grand Restaurant and staff were amazing. My room was very spacious, and the hotel featured a lovely outdoor lounge area along with several other great facilities.

I had no response from the front desk staff regarding the shuttle service, so I had to find my own way to the hotel. Additionally, I encountered issues with the cleanliness of the room, particularly the bathroom.

I did not like being chased by the manager asking if i had one room or two because my fiancee is a tunisian muslim. He should have checked the register before . We are engaged and totally respect the law. I had two rooms. Because of this i took my fiancee back to her parents house because it was embarrassing. I had to drive 5 hour round trip. After flying to tunisia.

Cleanliness, comfortability and room size..

Location is a bit far compared to the rest hotels in Lac 1, rooms are quite expensive value compared to their features. Besides, some of the staff need to be more friendly and smiley.
