Villa Wat Damnak

Great location to main town. 10 mins walk top. Beautiful garden around the villa. Helpful and friendly staff.

The rooms are relatively smaller than expected. The initial room's aircond was not working and there was no fan. Glad that they managed to move us to another nicer room with fan (more ventilation).

A genuinely lovely hotel set away from the bustle of the town in a tranquil setting.yet within easy walking distance of the markets, restaurants and bars. The Angkor temples are a short ride away.Our room was good sized and really comfortable with really friendly, helpful staff. I highly recommend you stay.

So kind and welcoming staff members, Mai (I hope I am not misspelling his name) was so helpful, providing me with useful information about how to get around and in general - such a positive and friendly vibe :)

The staff at the hotel were very nice to me. I have been staying there for the past couple days now for work during the fighting between Thai-Cambodia. Everyone was so nice to me. The room are very affordable too.

This is our second visit to this property and we cannot fault it. The location is perfect for everything. So close to the night markets, riverside market, pub st, old market, Wat Bo area etc etc but still in a quiet side street you get no noise.. the staff are remarkable and always ensure you have everything you need. They helped up with all of our heavy cases ( we are moving to Cambodia so had about 6 large heavy cases)

All the staff were amazing! Extremely friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed upon our arrival. During our stay anytime we had requests, they were very accommodating. They were able to have a boxed breakfast made up for us when we had an early start for sunrise at Angkor Wat. Guest room was simple but authentic.

The pool needs work as the tiles need to redone. My son cut his foot the first evening we were there. Please put a sign out by the pool warning guests about this as it is a safety hazard.

I have actually not a bad word to say . It's the first time in a long time I can say that.

nothing, first time that meet that bad hotel service.

1. Room very small and dark, WC got flood and impacted to bed area. 2. Towel very unclean and look trash towel and no standard 3. Pool not clean and color of water very ugly 4. The way to hotel very small can for only 1 car, if 2 care opposite each other then will be problem. 5. No parking space if you go out at night then back you will park the car on the way and in early morning hotel staff come to my room and ask me to move my car so not enough sleep. 6. No security guard to facilitate in the hotel like parking, or guard car or motor. 7. Manager said hotel policy allow my room can sleep only 2 people per room but I ask guest stay next to my room they can stay with 6 persons, so hotel policy is based on their mouth not base on policy set. 8. Room in the picture of booking.com completely difference from reality. 9. Room price is not compatible with reality of room. 10. Manager Name Heourm Him, gossip with other staff in restaurant during guests having breakfast. 11. If you are scaring the ghost no recommend to stay there.

The staff is really amazing. The hotel is very beautiful, maybe a bit old, bit beautiful. The breakfast was ok.

The stairs. Omg the stairs are horrible, each step is 40 cm tall, but I guess there is not much they can do about it.

Location was amazing, within a few minutes walk of the river, night market and lots of restuarants and cafes. But, in a quiet alley and far enough from pub street to be peaceful. Rooms were comfy, and the pool was really peaceful and relaxing, especially because there were two pools so everyone had plenty of space. Breakfast was delicious and staff are incredibly helpful if anything is needed, e.g. they are happy to provide breakfast packs if doing sunrise at angkor.

Breakfast coffee was super bad and they also don't sell coffee at the restaurant. Staff are really friendly and lovely, but, as others have mentioned, it was a little overbearing. Moving around the hotel involved a bit of a gauntlet run to get past several members of staff heading our way, wanting to know where we were going... where we had been... what we were doing now...what are we doing later...what did we do this morning... and so on. I think it was intended to be hospitable, but because it was such intense questioning and so often, e.g. all through breakfast while eating or each time we left our room, we found it made it a bit hard to relax.

Perfect location, short walk to the centre of town, on a no-car small street. Staff are always welcoming, smiling, and anticipating your needs. The small restaurant beside the pool is beautiful and quaint. My room was a unique ground floor corner room right beside the pool. Very convenient. The staff all speak English and are delightful. A great family run business feel to the place. I would definitely return, especially with the discount price that was offered.

Everything. Quiet but close to the very center party scene. Tasty breakfast. Pool on the property. Friendly staff.

That we couldn’t stay longer

Very nice hotel with a Cambodian flair! The room was very nice and comfy, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the outside area also very nice (restaurant, swimming pool etc.) I would definitely recommend it!

A small but cozy room which had everything we needed for our stay. Fridge, kettle, AC in the room. Nice breakfast, good choices, unlimited coffee. Nice pool area and a second pool option just next door. The location was perfect for night markets, the river and exploring the city- Just a short 5 minute walk away. And yet the hotel is tucked in a very quiet and peaceful spot. The staff were the most welcoming we have come across on our travels so far. Always smiling and checking if we need anything. Some I believe are students learning in hospitality and they were so lovely, speaking exceptional English. They organised a trip for us to visit the Hero Rats at very short notice. Tuk Tuks were always waiting outside at reasonable prices.

Location was perfect. Really near the buzzing centre of Siem Reap (less than 5 mins to Pub Street) but it's located down a side road which is so quiet you don't hear any noise at all.

The rooms were small but very cute. My only thing (which wouldn't stop me staying there again) is if you're on the ground floor by the garden area, you can't keep your window blinds open if you need privacy i.e. dressing or coming out of the shower otherwise you could be seen. So on a sunny afternoon I had to keep the blinds closed which was a shame. Like I say though, it wouldn't stop me staying there again.

Very friendly and competent staff. Excellent price and location. The place also includes student apprenticeships that help young students in learning the lodging business plus work skills.

It seems they don’t have wine available while all surrounding restaurants do serve wine.

Location, staff, breakfast, pool (we were in the quieter 2nd building - formerly run as Golden Banana)

Beds very firm, Aircon needed regassing (but it was fixed within an hour of raising this problem), CNR rooms in Golden Banana building have a bigger room but a much smaller balcony, building is a bit tired although great value.
