Somadevi Residence

location was excellent and short walking distance to pub street!. nice boutique property and good sized rooms with comfortable beds. very pleasant staff.

At checkout, we were asked that a cup and saucer was missing from the room. We told the reception staff that it had likely gone along with the room service dishes etc which we had ordered last night, but they insisted that they first need to cross check with restaurant staff. Unbelievable I thought! Whilst I understand the staff is doing their job but in the grand scheme of things, in a 5 star hotel it is rather insulting to the guest that they are being asked to wait till the missing tea cup is located before check out can be finalised!!. Who is going run away with a teacup ??!! A manager then found the errant cup and saucer and we were free to leave. This really spoilt our mood. Somebody in the management seriously needs to rethink this process.

Great comfortable hotel in the heart of the city. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The service was top notch. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room spacious and the bed very comfortable. The pool was a hit, perfect to take a dip in the hot weather. Breakfast and their food in the cafe was excellent. And the spa was wonderful. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended.

The staff were extremely professional, attentive and very pleasant. Really enjoyed the pool. The gym was basic, but still had everything to have a good workout.

While my room was beautiful, the bed was a little hard and there was more street noise than I was expecting.

The pool was perfect. The rooms were big, the balcony was big, but there was no view.

The air conditioner had 2 settings. One was too hot, and the 2nd was ice cold. We keep having to switch between the two all night.

Breakfast was OK. Location was really good, lots of places to eat right outside the hotel. Walking distance to Pub St and Old Market area. Bed may be a little too firm for some.

If I had to be picky, fitness room is a little small and is right next to the lobby which is a little weird.

Pleasant stay, friendly staff, nice size room - was very large! nice pool, nothing bad to say

Hotel staff is very friendly. Hotel location is good, near to restaurants and night market.

I am looking for connecting rooms as I am traveling with my three kids, I have made the request during booking. But hotel don't have connecting rooms and never notify me.

Great location, walking distance to everything we needed. Breakfast was more than adequate. The staff were absolutely fantastic. Would not hesitate to recommend or return. Thank you especially to Ang (I think ) who went above and beyond.

Excellent services and staff, facilities and cleanliness. If their breakfast menu was more diverse, I couldnt expect more.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very big swimming pool. Great size of the room. Close to Pub Street. We didn't use the SPA option as we were after accident but we are sure they are great as well. Good breakfast.

The only issue was poor wifi in the room

Everything. The rooms are large and comfortable, the food in the restaurant is excellent and the staff are extremely helpful. Special thanks to the two managers who went out of their way to be helpful and friendly.

Loved everything

Great staff, strong air con and wifi, comfy bed, massive room, loads of hot water, great location. Nice shampoo

No hair conditioner, no plunger coffee in room, spa masseuse lacked some professionalTraining

Spacious room, friendly staff, good amenities.

Danger of insects and reptiles in the room. Mixup with other Somadevi property.

The location is superb, the service professional and the staff very friendly. Nice breakfast buffet.

The hotel is a bit aged. Little things are broken or, in our case, the fridge is noisy. What we did not like at all is that the bath is poorly soundproofed. If the neighbour is in his/her bath, it sounds like in ours. However the place still offers a nice atmosphere and ambiance.

Very nice hotel with super polite staff. Excellent location, huge comfortable rooms. We recommend it.

Great spot to relax by the pool and short walk to pub at and night markets

location, stuff and big swimming pool.

limited breakfast. bad sound isolation

- We liked the location. Central but not in a too crowded spot. Sufficient restaurant options opposite the hotel and nearby at walking distance.- Good breakfast buffet offers sufficient choices. - Nice swimming pool but cold ?. - I enjoyed the mango smoothie. - Good massage at their spa facilities.

I would like to advise the hotel to have the breakfast buffet ready at the moment that breakfast time starts. At leas, I would expect this. It happened that those times that we went for breakfast upon starting time, most of the food was not available yet. This was a pity.

Nice hotel verry conveniently located next to all things of interested. Fantastic breakfast, nice pool, a bit hard to find it as next door is another hotel with almost the same name ( same owner )

Pool bar staff do not speak/understand English, was verry hard to find somebody there to order something in the first place, when finally somebody showed up it was quite challenging to order a beer, to pay the beers was an impossible mission and we finally gave up all together and let them put the drinks on room bill as it was latterly impossible to communicate with them. If you go to the pool, bring your own drinks with you!

clean, simple, friendly attentive staff, good pool, balcony looking into garden
